Those lads are still representing the Club, wherever it is they play.   As 4 of them are training with the First team then to me that says they are very much part of the long term thinking.

Are you are referring to the 4 rather than the Reserves as a whole ?

KES, Iím saying that despite the Reserves being sent over to Wisbech the structure of the club is very forming in place and IC sees them as a part of the future as a natural
Path to the first team squad.

First friendly, with the Reserves away at Thetford.

Is there any news on players with the Reserves ?  New signings, players that have departed etc.  Or is it very much as you were from last season ?

With IC looking to add a defender and a midfielder to his squad, why is Toby Hilliard training with the squad?

Tony, as I recall I think Toby went to Wisbech under Backie n Neilís watch.  Similar time to Adam Marriot and Chris Henderson arriving.

Thatís good news Mark.  Though I understand they have fallen behind the clock in terms of the pitch.

I am sure your knowledge is far greater than mine Mark but I thought they had asked for their first 4 home games to be changed to away games.

Could see him as a back-up to Gash. We donít really have anyone who can play that role.

Ok Toby is not natural goalscorer, but what he gives is a willing work horse who will give it his all.

I donít think the option of a fixture swap is part of the League rules.  However to be played within 6 weeks of the original date is.

Will common sense prevail ?

The Spennymoor away fixture in Sept might be postponed as they are having a lot of work done at the ground including a new pitch.

I think League rules state that any game postponed has to be played within 6 weeks of the original date.  This could mean a nice trip up there on a Tuesday night.  Madness

This arvo is when they come out.

Love a home game on the opening day.  So letís go for York City at home. They will bring a good few  fans with them. Would be a good test for us as Steve Watson looks to have put a decent squad together there.   Steve McNulty ( Tranmere last season) is one of the latest signings.  Though they have released Jon Parkin. Was looking forward to seeing his running of the channels at The Walks  :laughcry:

That has to be one of the worst kits Lynn have had ( the green one).  I hope it looks better in the flesh than it does an image.  Canít see them queuing for that one.

Nice piece on EDP website with pics of the players returning for pre-season.  Looked a decent turnout from the pics on there.  A few new faces there.

IC saying he is still looking to bring 2 more in.  One a defender and the other to be determined.

Gordon I can only imagine what a difficult decision it must have been to withdrawn sponsorship from a club you have followed since you were a boy.

I am sure there are plenty of local Clubs who will
bend over backwards to get you onboard.  Iím sure the Club will miss you and in turn you will the involvement you have enjoyed with the Club.  Just sad no compromise could be found.
