General Discussion / Re: Aldershot fans not impressed
« on: February 14, 2024, 07:25:56 PM »
Tommy hasnít had a lot of luck with his signings from Kings Lynn.

Zain Walker not kicked a ball and now in his 2nd loan spell away.
Arron Jones  now on the sidelines after suffering his 2nd long term injury.
Ollie Scott.  Carried on his injury prone ways that he suffered with us. Out again
Theo W.  Oh dear.  Fans at Shots sussed out the situation there PDQ.  Daddy keeps giving him game time when the Shots fans can see he is nowhere near step 1 level.
Josh B... 2 stone overweight ( according to shots fans). Makes his full time debut and blows up after 20 mins.

5-0 home thrashing last night for Shots.  3-0 down at the break and Widd Jun gets booked.
I have to say Iím devastated for Tommy, such a shame. :banghead;

Josh Barrett and Theo look like they have been plucked from the lower reaches of the Aldershot and District Sunday league. Why start them together when Barrett is clearly not going to last until the second half? Sure enough he went off after 20 mins.

From their forum after losing to Fylde

Such a shame.

General Discussion / Re: More favours required on Saturday.

An interesting one to watch tonight,,,,,,Banbury v Darlington, Both teams playing out one of their games in hand over Lynn,

With Lynn's NLN status currently out of their own hands we are again looking for favours from our local neighbours Boston Utd and Peterborough Sports who play Southport and Spennymoor respectively.

If Lynn fail to win at Gloucester the situation becomes dire.

 :banghead; :banghead; Sorry Squire but I have to disagree with you, LYNN FC. position has been dire for a couple of weeks already, teams around us picking up wins,  and we are constantly being told a home point gained is a good result. Wake up, smell the coffee, we are in deep trouble and itís getting worse week after week at the moment. In my mind itís when, not if we get relegated. I hope Iím wrong but I donít see anything to persuade me differently at this moment.  :banghead; :banghead;

General Discussion / Re: Not looking good.

On a different note but still  under the headline, Margretts not included in the starting 11 today, our new super scoring forward only good enough for the bench, is this due to injury, not being deemed good enough or another new system. We get all this about how good his stats are but we are yet to see anything in a Lynn shirt. This is indeed NOT LOOKING GOOD, we need points on the board and to achieve this we need to score as many goals as possible, leaving our alleged most potent goal scorer on the bench, WHY.

Really is looking bad now, I am of the opinion that relegation is a certainty now, only question is when will we be relegated. I really do hope Iím wrong but sadly feel I wonít be. This all stems from recruitment by the previous manager, players were not of required standard and the new manager is still dishing out the we are fitter line. We may or may not be fitter, but the quality of football has not changed, not up to the levels required.

This could have been written on Saturday but here we are again 2*0 down but the difference is that we are at home this time. Hereís hoping for 3 points as that is really what is required tonight. We really are not good enough to keep giving out two goal leads. As stated before matches running out.

General Discussion / Re: Barrett goes
« on: January 23, 2024, 06:59:54 PM »
 How we need to look at this situation is, the money saved over the weeks left of this season is the transfer fee we have received. Josh was obviously not in the managers plans, for what ever reason and would have just been around picking up a wage, so now heís gone we are saving x amount of £s per week. Strange way of looking at it but it works for me. :oldman"

Usually with a transfer, you get a fee AND the savings from not having to pay the players wage.
I get what youíre saying and I would usually say the same, but he was on his bike at the end of the season any way, so we are saving and or banking his wages each week heís not on the payroll.

It's looking better than it did a month ago.

Not if you look at points on the board, games are running out and we have played more than teams around us. Hopefully we can survive, but I do have genuine doubts that we will.

A point away from isnít a bad result and we had the chance to win it at the death if Hargreaves hadnít shot over,we need to get better service to the new striker. Anyone know why Josh Barret wasnít at the game today

Or indeed Bartosz, in my original post I asked this question. A little info from the club would be appreciated, very poor information from club of the standing of  KLTFC.

:farmer: not looking good after 30 minutes today, 2 nil down away from home.
Anybody have any idea where the clubs leading goal scorer is today, injured, not selected, left the club all possibilities as very little information still coming out of the club.

General Discussion / Re: Holding a lead
« on: January 14, 2024, 02:07:01 PM »
When Lakeland came in Bartley was deemed to be one who was tossing it off so was very quickly shown the door  back to Wimbledon ( where is he now ?).  Seems Barrett is now at it as well.   If he is trying to force the Club into releasing him then might as well grant him his wish.  Pointless allowing a player to steal a wage in the situation we are in.  Get rid, even on a free.  Gives an extra budget to bring someone in who can help get us out of the bottom 4.

The lad has bundles of quality but pointless if heís not up for it.

Agreed, money wasted weekly if as appears, he will not play.

General Discussion / Holding a lead
« on: January 13, 2024, 04:45:03 PM »
:oldman" It is at the stage of the season where we really do need to win matches, as I write this we have surrendered a two goal lead away from home, we really have not got a hope in hell if we keep drawing matches or indeed lose matches where we have been two goals ahead, shut up shop defend in numbers and try to get the 3 points. I get that a point away is a bonus point, but in reality we need more, the season is slipping away as are the points still available. .
