General Discussion / Re: York promoted to National League
« on: May 22, 2022, 06:09:01 PM »
Local Derby at the new Boston ground next season.

Interesting in the National League South Dorking Wanderers won the play offs to the National League.   Not bad for a club who formed In 1999.  They started life in The Crawley and District League.

Could Heacham be the next Dorking Wandererís. Over too you Chilly.

Who knows Dazza. At least we have a team all pulling in the same direction whether it is matchday, commercial etc etc.
Season doesn't end till next Saturday with the Reserves playing Watlington in the final of the Graver Cup at Heacham FC.
Then the hard work really starts with the ground improvements ready for life in the Thurlow Nunn. All is in hand at this point in time.
Huge presentation night next saturday at The Pavilion at Heacham Manor, all welcome then the sold out Sportsmans Dinner with Ray Parlour and Comedian followed by the Heacham Golf Day on August the 26th again already sold out.
The future is bright, the future is Heacham FC.

Iím loving it Gordon, with yourself and Graeme on board over at Heacham and what seems from the outside too be a band of loyal helpers, you all deserve a great deal of praise and good fortune. The whole set up there seems to be heading in the right direction..

General Discussion / Re: Culverhouse

The laughter was due to the fact that HE has issues with another chairman, so the problems at Lynn may not have been as one sided as many think. He lost his job, possibly, because he is his own worst enemy.

Well said Graham, common denominator = Mr Culverhouse.

General Discussion / Re: Cameron King.

If Cameron King's problems are health related rather than a football injury then we have no right to know.

 Patient confidentiality anyone?

I totally agree with this statement, and never was I digging at Cameron, a fit Cameron is a big plus to any team playing around our level of football. However it would have been better had the club just gave us a little information, this isnít only about this issue but many more related issues to KLTFC.

BUT WHAT OF CAMERON KING? :dontknow: :banghead; :banghead; :banghead;

Well said, what about Cameron?.

I did post a thread on here around the 1st of May, last year, saying I believed there were more factors around Cameron Kingís absence from the squad, we were told he needed more testís. Well 1 year on and we have never in my recollection been given any more information on him, this just about says it all about the communication between KLTFC and the people who pay their hard earned money too watch them on a match day. We are treated like mushrooms fed **** and kept in the dark.
Now we have been relegated itís time to re structure the whole set up at the Walkís, we are not and I donít believe ever will be a top National league club, handled correctly, with the right people on board we could possibly sustain National league football, but we are not going to be challenging for the title.
We need local people for a local club, but many local people and businesses have been pushed away from the Walks, we need these people back on board, how do we do that,I donít know, but over to you Mr chairman too sort this out.

:farmer: :oldman" Remember watching Malcolm for many years, one of the best if not the best goal scoring machine I have personally seen in a KINGíS LYNN shirt. Condolences to his family. :oldman" :farmer:

:oldman" :farmer: Apart from your son, how many more players would you like to retain for next season, should you still be the manager?

General Discussion / Re: CLUNAN GONE.

Thinking about things not everything off field is a mess.  SC promised to sort out the catering side.  Which he has done.   So all things are possible
:oldman" :farmer: yes he has sorted the catering offers, just a shame we have very little support at the moment to enjoy it. :oldman" :farmer:

General Discussion / Two new this week
« on: February 26, 2022, 09:06:08 AM »
:farmer: :oldman"  Could someone please enlighten me on the two new players we were supposed to be having a look at all week in training, I have personally not heard anything from the club or indeed anyone else as to who they are. From Tommyís press comments last week I assumed they were coming, but no more has been mentioned or is this just more bullóót for us to read and swallow, I am afraid I have lost faith in the whole set up at KLTFC, we as supporters are treated as mushrooms by the club , fed **** and kept in the dark. :oldman" :farmer:

General Discussion / Re: North or South ?
« on: February 13, 2022, 01:22:02 PM »
South  is easier for away games on the train.

Yes I agree, Dover down and out with us, but Weymouth must still be clinging on to the hope of staying up, itís a long shot but still possible.

General Discussion / North or South ?
« on: February 13, 2022, 09:41:13 AM »
:farmer: :oldman" Well I personally think yesterdayís game  was vital to win if we stood any chance at all of escaping the drop this season, it is quite clear and also very obvious that we are no where near the level on or indeed off the pitch required to operate at the present level we ply our trade. I firmly believe that we will now be definitely relegated, I see no way with the tools we have in our chest, how anything but relegation is now an option, I also feel some, no most of the players in the squad are not as good as we have had in our recent past and they will be no where challenging at a lower level, this in my mind leaves the question WHERE WILL WE BE PLAYING NEXT SEASON, NORTH OR SOUTH, my personal preference would be South, not so many big ex league clubs in the southern division, perhaps allowing us a better chance to re group and try again. North I believe have bigger teams and possibly bigger gates( possibly if things improve between club and supporters), but itís South for me, any other people have an opinion, please join the debate, what would be your preference?. :oldman" :farmer:

General Discussion / Re: King's Lynn Town FC v Weymouth Town
« on: February 05, 2022, 08:09:32 PM »
Another poor attendance - so disappointing to see

857. I think that's reasonable all things considered. I would not have been surprised if it had only been around 700/750 (yes, I know its nowhere near enough to fund this level of football).

Must have been all the new playerís relatives increasing the crowd.

:farmer: :oldman" Fresh investment, who in their right mind would invest( throw away) money on the shower of sót we have assembled at our club over the last 18 months.  :oldman" :farmer:
