General Discussion / Dropped points
« on: March 16, 2025, 08:09:03 AM »
:oldman" I personally have not commented on the forum as much recently as I used too, due mostly down to the fact I have moved from King’s Lynn and don’t attend matches as regularly as I have done for over 40 years. I however felt it was time to come back and say my piece, I feel we are now almost definitely out of the playoff picture (hope I’m wrong), but this team what I have seen of it is INCONSISTENT to say the least, BEST MANAGER IN THE LEAGUE, come on, who you trying to fool, it’s now his team and it just doesn’t cut the mustard. I personally think we have lost out on the playoffs because we have dropped far too many points at the Walks, yesterday was a very good opportunity to take 3 points against a part time team who had a long coach journey, but again we blew the opportunity. I will now definitely not attend again this season and we will see what happens in the close season. I think a more local manager with local links towards players around the East Midlands/ Yorkshire region is what we require, not North west based. Give Gashy a chance in my opinion, done very well with a limited budget, but would he come is the big question!

General Discussion / Home attendances
« on: September 22, 2024, 09:27:41 AM »
:farmer: :oldman" I see our home attendances are up by 20% so far this season, we are averaging around 1150 per home game. We are however early  days into a season we hope will hold much better results than last season.
I am just curious as to what other people think our average attendance will be come the end of the season ? . I personally feel that the numbers at present are a true reflection of our support level, this may rise by 2/300 if we are indeed fighting at the top of the table, but will also decline by 2/300 or possibly more if we struggle. We are currently the 12th best supported team in National League North, showing how well other clubs are supported in this league. I’m interested to hear other people’s thoughts on this matter. :oldman"

General Discussion / The Day Has Arrived
« on: August 10, 2024, 07:45:55 AM »
:farmer: :oldman" Well we are finally ready to set of on our journey for another season. I would be interested to gauge people’s feelings on what they feel we have to look forward to. I personally feel we have obviously got a lot better squad than at this time last season, with better strength in all areas, let’s face it recruitment last year was abysmal, to say the least. I feel we have definitely got a better manager than we’ve had for a while who also has a very able deputy and both have a far deeper understanding of this league and what’s required to win matches in it than the previous incumbent’s. I have a positive view on the season ahead, but only time will tell. COYL.
Over to you all now for your thoughts. :oldman" :farmer:

General Discussion / First friendly
« on: July 07, 2024, 08:43:31 PM »
:farmer: :oldman" For those who are unaware, the team played at Deeping on Friday evening and came away with a four goal win without conceding. I do realise it’s early doors but I feel the club could have informed the fans of the result, yes it’s only a friendly but we won and I have not seen a mention anywhere. :oldman" :farmer:

Has moved to Swindon from Burton on deadline day, been on loan but now made permanent. Fraser is becoming a bit of a journeyman since leaving KLTFC, but good luck to him in his latest move.
