General Discussion / Goal difference
« on: February 18, 2018, 09:26:33 AM »
:scarf: I feel that goal difference could indeed become a decisive factor in which team will be playing at home in the playoff semi finals. I do not want to concede the title to Hereford and certainly will not until it is not possible to catch them, however in reality it's looking a very big ask ,but still possible. Looking below us Kettering and Weymouth have slightly inferior goal differences to us , but this can change weekly, there have been some high scoring games of late. I am not saying these are definitely going to be 3 of the teams in contention for the playoffs, but looking more likely as the matches pass by, Slough I believe will also be involved at the end off the season. This is just my opinion and it is still possible for other teams to sneak in to the mix ,but looking unlikely. What are other people's thoughts on this ? . :farmer:

General Discussion / 2 points dropped
« on: December 26, 2017, 07:59:05 PM »
:oldman" I have to say I see today as 2 points dropped as opposed to 1 gained, we were top of the league this morning and remain top of the league this evening, however we really do need to start putting theses teams, in the lower reaches of the league to the sword. We keep hearing about the state of the pitch, and yes it is not suited to our style of football, we know what it's like ,so need to adapt to it. It is the same pitch for both teams
The only real positive today is that we were not the only team in the top reaches to drop points.

General Discussion / Top of the league
« on: October 31, 2017, 10:21:20 PM »
:oldman" after the results tonight, Kettering and Hereford both hoist themselves into touching distance of KLTFC, we really must up our game again and start winning to maintain our challenge, this I believe we will do. SQUEAKY BUM TIME!.

I would also like to congratulate the reserves on a penalty shoot out win at Fakenham tonight.

General Discussion / Big Sam
« on: October 28, 2017, 09:26:32 AM »
:oldman" I have not posted in a long while due to all the drivel that has been posted since Mr Cleeve took the reins of our club, however I now feel I would like to partake in the forum again.

I am now of the opinion that we have possibly seen the best of Sam, I hope he proves me wrong, l just feel over the last few matches that Sam has been underperforming and putting his team mates under pressure when they should not be. Under SETCH, Sam was always going to get game time, however I believe we have better defenders in his position within our squad already. I feel today is the time for Mr Culverhouse to re instate Ward and Fryatt as our central partnership at the back. Sam was a little overweight and slow under SETCH, he lost weight became quicker for it,played well and proved people wrong on that occasion, I do so hope he can do this again and prove me wrong. Sam is local, good experience of the right age and clearly loves the club, come on Sam prove me wrong. :oldman"
