General Discussion / Re: V Dover
« on: December 12, 2021, 09:03:35 AM »
I said previously that if IC went the attendance would drop to the regular 600+, but obviously there are factors at the moment of Covid and Christmas.
That aside positive performance, i guess some of the players have had a kick up the behind from the manager and ………… their agents!
For me its all the 2’s
2 days in charge, it may take 2 weeks or 2 months to change things to how TW/SC want it but all we need is……….
2 places and its NL next year and rebuild AGAIN in the summer.
I have to agree with Griss, people support the football club not the manager, it’s like saying Manchester United’s support dropped to around 40000 when Sir Alex left as manager, it didn’t happen.

:farmer: :oldman" I personally feel we need a manager with experience in the National league, who has a note book full of contacts at National league level and above, not below, we could possibly survive with a few players from lower levels, but we as a club seem to be recruiting all from lower leagues or injury prone players from our level or slightly higher. The problem as I see it is, no money, no players really up to the level, no money coming in through the turnstiles to fund better players, no real income from advertising, so realistically what experienced manager would really want too take that on . Only time will tell. :oldman" :farmer:

Biggest change of style we need is to go from not scoring goals to scoring a shed load of goals! Don't care about style get it in the old onion bag,an ugly win is better than losing pretty! :banghead; :banghead;

Surely has to be good news for the Football Club, going forward.

:farmer: :oldman" Why is it good news for KLTFC, I thought it was a community pitch, for the people of the borough  :oldman" :farmer:

:farmer: :oldman" We can quote this system or that system, but ultimately if you don’t concede you don’t lose, and if you score more than the opposing team and you win. EASY  :oldman" :farmer:

:farmer: :oldman" Probably best for both Backie and the club. Family and health must come first, however I do wonder if Robbie has the contact list that the club needs at this time. Many thanks to him for all he has done for KLTFC, but possibly the correct time for a break away from football. :farmer: :oldman"

:farmer: :oldman"  Has anyone else noticed on the home page that we seem to have suddenly found another 400 paying supporters for last Saturdays match, originally declared as 1070 now seems to have risen to 1470. This is probably a more realistic figure. :oldman" :farmer:

General Discussion / Re: Robbie Savage/ Macclesfield

Like spending £4m on the ground and facilities.  Can’t imagine Savage has put any cash in.

I never said he put any money in, just time and passion, with a chairman seemingly funding the dream .

General Discussion / Robbie Savage/ Macclesfield
« on: November 14, 2021, 02:42:13 PM »
:farmer: :oldman"  Now I am really not a Robbie Savage fan, but having watched the documentary he has made about Macclesfield fc, I have to give the man some well deserved credit. If you are able to watch this BBC production, have a watch, so many similarities with KLTFC even down to the crowd trouble. The way these people have gone about reforming an old established football club really was a pleasure to watch, MANY LESSONS COULD BE LEARNT BY KLTFC FROM WATCHING THIS. I don’t believe our hierarchy would agree but basically it’s run by 1main man and a few other people who are trying to do there best for the loyal supporters the football club has.
Please have a watch, and maybe a new debate could be had on this forum. :farmer: :oldman"

General Discussion / Re: Time for a change?
« on: November 13, 2021, 07:02:12 PM »
I have not posted a lot of late, but feel I need to have a little input into this debate. I have not been attending matches this season for reasons I have stated earlier in the season, but I still watch and follow the LINNETS from a distance . I can not get the whole picture of affairs happening at KLTFC by not attending but, I sure do feel we as a squad are not up to the required level for National league football, the infrastructure at KLTFC is not at the required level, the corporate/sponsorship level is way below where it needs to be to fund a squad at National league. Finally the Management are probably 1 step above there level . Ian ,Paul and Robbie, have done a sterling job getting us where we are, probably quicker than anticipated and on a limited budget. However, the chairman has backed them as much as possible, yes Mr.C. has made mistakes and lots of them but he has tried to sort the pitch, fund full time professionals, sort out training facilities, find and pay for housing  and he is beginning to listen and act on some peoples gripe’s.
I firmly believe that the manager and his team knew the budget at the beginning of the season based on a certain attendance level, we have been losing week in week out on the park and the floating support has deserted the cause, therefore less money to spend. I believe it could well be time for a change , Ian, Paul  and Robbie have done good work but I don’t think the contacts are working at this level.
