With Junior now missing for a few weeks and no sign of King,  does leave us thinner than thin.  Could we do with a body or two through the door?

Jack Wilshere in need of matches, released by Bournemouth and nobody wants him. :scarf: :hello:

Just goes to prove tickets being cheap doesn't fill a stadium

:farmer: :oldman" :banghead; I think if you look Norwich had over 20000 in attendance last night, I dare say if you look at the other attendances for last night, Norwich will be very well supported compared too the other matches. Many people consider the competition a necessary evil, helping small clubs along, but I feel Norwich City have got the pricing structure correct.. :farmer: :banghead; :oldman"

Mallard has shown that he doesn’t get the essence of nipsterism, or nipsters.  And others, imho, are too stuck on “beef” in positions where we need “players” !  A nipster can be any size, not merely “slight”, although good nipsters tend to be smaller ( or what the macho analysts call “ a low centre of gravity” , because saying “small” messes up their “Big and Strong” fixation.  The essence is the ability to trick their way past an opponent, and nip away over a short distance.  “Beef” or “ Strength” is often a cliche, usually spouted by those who buy the macho nonsense spoken by pundits, to make out there is something extra in the “English game”.  Players are often said to have “used their strength” , when a playback shows there was no contact whatsoever !  Salah, Mane, even Grealish are all nipsters.  Players nearly always murder beefcake !!  Glad to be of service !!
:oldman" :farmer: Jan Molby was a beefcake with little speed but exceptional vision and passing ability and he ran the middle of the. Park for one of Europe's finest teams. :oldman" :farmer:

Nicki when you say who don’t like S C on what do you base it on ,have you met the man who has taken our team to where we are today, I for one never thought our team would be playing the likes of Chesterfield and Notts County if you would have said to me 10 seasons ago we would be playing in the conference I would have said that will never happen but here we are and a professional team and the man you don’t like has got us there

:farmer: :oldman" I take it that Buster Chapmans reign did nothing too help us on our way then?  :oldman" :farmer:

He’s been a good servant for our team and he had a good game on Saturday but I understand where people are coming from, but please don’t comment on a match you’ve not seen

:farmer: :oldman" Please read again, at no time did I comment on Saturdays game, neither did KES. He has been a good servant to the club, also being paid for it, as were others who have now departed. All I was trying too say was I personally feel Michael is not at the level required for National League football. I feel I can not put it any clearer, not in any way criticism of the lad, just my opinion. :farmer: :oldman"

I didn't attend yesterday Dazza, so can't comment on thegame itself, but I was surprised Sundire didn't start......we need as much power as possible in the midfield and I share your concerns

I also did not attend, so can’t comment on Saturday’s performance, but I can comment on previous showings and felt National North was probably a level too high for Michael, sad to say this about a local lad, but there must be no sentimental thoughts in team and indeed squad members when we are running with such a small squad.

:oldman" :farmer: Local lad, but sad to say out of his depth, and he will be found out quickly by the better quality of player at the present level we play at. More beef needed in the middle of the park.  :farmer: :oldman"

All good ideas. Certainly a need to decrease prices for oaps and under 18s. I know several regular elderly attenders who are not going anymore due to a combination of factors in part fear of covid, increasing ill health but also due to high prices. Perhaps a scheme could be introduced for regular fans a 3 match ticket. Buy tickets for two  matches at full price and get third free. Surely it is better to have more home fans in ground they will spend money on drinks etc

:farmer: :oldman" Pricing needs reducing for all, not just a few, l stayed away due to price yesterday. I could afford to attend but have decided not to attend due to total amount needed to fund my afternoon at the Walks. I await all the comments about not buying food or drink or a programme,I live out of town so need transportation to matches and car parking charges and I consider this all part of the experience but there is a ceiling as to what I am prepared too pay and KLTFC have now passed that mark.  :farmer: :oldman"

Dazzle - Have something to eat and drink at home.  Saves money AND queuing ….

:oldman" :farmer: When attending matches, food and drinks are all part of the day for me and my family, I’m not saying I can’t afford the prices , I’m just saying  I don’t feel I can warrant paying it.  :oldman" :farmer:

Very much so, those that can't and those that won't.

:oldman" :farmer:  I have been supporting Kings Lynn FC, since the early Seventies and I must say I am firmly of the opinion that the pricing structure this season is too expensive, I have not been able to decide whether to attend matches this season. At this moment I am swaying towards not attending, I really have supported Mr Cleeve in a lot he has done for KLTFC, however I feel that I can not justify the money it would cost me in travel, entrance, program and possibly food and drinks. I am really undecided, only a few days before the season starts, but PRICING NEEDS LOOKING AT.

General Discussion / Re: New Signing

:farmer: :oldman" I have to say that I have not been over impressed with the players we have recruited, all the talk of players from the league being available for a lot less money, seems to have passed KLTFC . We seem in most cases to be recruiting from lower leagues. I am not saying that this is wrong as we have benefitted in recent accusations, but I really thought with all these players available we would have seen mostly NL standard players arriving maybe with an odd league player. In Ian we must Trust.

Hi Dazza, is July the 16th not before the possible next lifting of restictions which i work out as being the 19th unless there is serious drops in infection rate which doesn't look good at the moment.
Hi Gordon , I did state hopefully we will be able to sell out all the tickets we are allowed, subject to COVID-19.
Things change daily at the moment with this government and Covid-19, let’s wait and see.

Hartlepool return to the EFL.  They beat Torquay 5-4 on pens after a 1-1 draw aet.   Torquay drew level in the 95th min when their keeper came up for a corner and headed the flag kick in.

The first 4 penalties were also missed or saved.

Dazza surely we have to thank Stephen Cleeve and his deep pockets for getting us to the pinnacle of Non League Football.    So let’s be careful what we wish for.   Without his input and financing we could well still have been at Step 3

I see recall he has put in somewhere around 150k a year.   A real drop in the ocean compared to the likes of Man City and Chelsea, but he still put it in.

Agreed Mall, but in each season we have been promoted since the UCL,there have been bigger, better supported and better financed clubs than ourselves. York City and Chester City are the first two I can think of at this moment for example.
