General Discussion / Re: Future games

If you can justify and can afford the money you will go....if you can't you won't.

I don't really buy this "it's only a couple of quid over the odds" argument.

Once the price goes above a person's threshold, that is it...whether it's by a quid or £50, as Dazza's eloquent post demonstrates.

Secondly if you are looking to attract new people/families to the ground, then every pound does matter....again as demonstrated by the Norwich fan who posted on here to say it was too expensive for him to come to Southend.

As I see it there are 2 choices.
The first is maximize the price and hope to rely on the core of 600-1500(as gs puts it) sticking with it  for the season, or

look to connect more with the potential fan base, market things better, improve the match day experience, have some offers on pricing and try to build the attendance and ultimately the revenue that way.

Maybe connecting more with the fan base is work in progress   :dontknow:  :

Hmm.  So this is Mr Cleeve's only appointment then?  How's that work, i thought he had his fingers in many pies.

When you consider that Southend fans due to the travel involved are likely to pitch up at the ground earlier than locals.........  ...

I wouldn't bet on that.

In my humble opinion the vacation should be made compulsory, don’t the people who are not having the jabs are spreading this deadly virus

Is SC  on a compulsory vacation then?

Mr Cleeve needs to sign one of these with the FOTL asap. Then everyone will know what's going on, and expected from each party.

Exactly.....do we have 11 fit personnel currently...  ..  to be honest, I am almost past caring....if the club can't communicate better than this, then they don't deserve to have my interest or money for that matter

You'll have the Sheriff of Nottingham after you, with comments like that. :countingmoney:

A Fan Survey is required here. A simple questionnaire asking what the fans want. What type of food, drink, entertainment etc.  What price they would be prepared to pay. It's worked at other clubs, could work here if the owner was to embrace the idea of putting the supporters first for a change.  Put it on social media, in the programme.  Would be ideal task for Grissles, he's suggested most of the answers already. If more people gave the same answers, it would be hard for the owner not to act on them.  Unless he already has plans for the future ?

70%of eligible costs up to 400k, by the looks of it....so on a covered area costing 250000 club would need to find 75k...... don't think The Trust or Friends are quite ready for that.

Does The National Lottery provide separately for this type of thing ?

Use the loan money.
