Fenners It would seem you have some fairly good ideas in attracting supporters to watch Sport in the Town.  After all if you can pack the place via PR means to watch a minority Sport like Basketball, then The Football Club should embrace what you have to offer.  Surely it has to be worth a phone call or a visit to Buster offering your services to the Club, that is of course if you are interested still in The Linnets and not tied up totally with The Fury.

if i remember correctly fenners offered, but his services were not reqd by the club. perhaps it was a question of trust.

As a side issue to this, and i think VERY  relevant after watching todays local news about our Eastern European cousins in this area........

When  Mick started to walk onto the stage one of our Fury players stood and started applauding.  On that signal the whole Fury contingent, 10 or 11 from Eastern Europe, as well as our yoinger members, all rose to give the man a standing ovation.

In a packed hall of several hundred we / they were the only ones standing and applauding.   No locals.... no other local sporting greats, no dignitaries... just 'my' rag tag bunch of sport loving, field and factory workers, standing in appreciation of someone they obviously thought deserved it.

A question......  Why is it that local people didn't stand and applaud?  Or is just not the done thing.....?

"Mick Wright was award "The Lifetime Achievement Award" and received not one, not two but three standing ovations as he collected his trophy"

i suppose they had solar shed shirts on.  :farmer:

Evening,

The official forum was set up not to out do or copy the brilliant trust forum, we set up the official one for announcements and items like Ask Setch, we also have a few ideas also coming soon. We wanted to improve the relationship between the supporters and club and we felt the forum might help, ie if anyone has a question regarding the club we could try and reply.
I hope things are improving slowly and I know we have a long way to go but we are all putting a lot of effort in to getting things better for KLTFC
Backie x

carry on the good work. i trust the friends of the linnets are giving you and setch their full support.

Sell on clauses are usually a percentage of any subsequent transfer fee. I'm sure any view from our side would have been on George stepping up further levels and possibly being signed by a League 1/2 club who would have been likely to pay for his services.

Given this was a loan deal which has transpired into a permanent move, I would imagine that no money has exchanged hands between the two clubs.

On the Chester website it states that he was transferred for an 'undisclosed fee'.

it was a dozen bottles of holts too hoots and a large tater ash from westwells.

Strange question.
Its not unusual for Fans to have their own forum.
You could ask why the Club keeps trying to replicate things that are already in place. Time money and effort that could otherwise be directed into more important matters!

the club should have started its own forum from day one.  would have been a better use of time, than trying to "moderate" this one.

No such thing as vice presidents these days. Don't the trust have first refusal.!!

you are correct. but the person who said it has gone walkabout.
Just having some dream time and taking the opportunity to play with his digeridoo.

it was certainly dreamtime back then, with most of the promises made.  :laughcry:

why would questions need vetting in advance?

"The Trust exists for the benefit of King's Lynn Town Football Club and although our help is not currently required the future in football can often be unpredictable"

one sentence with so much content.
