General Discussion / Re: Alex Brown leaving« on: September 16, 2021, 06:37:34 PM »The Club didn’t actually pay for Brown’s transfer. This came out of the Chairman’s own pocket. Chairman's own pocket, club. Same thing? ![]() 95

They'll all get in however many turn up. SC needs the money. Police won't want the extras wandering around town. At least until the away clubs are sent tickets to sell themselves.

General Discussion / Re: When is our next home game?« on: August 27, 2021, 08:17:49 PM »If we can continue to pull in 2,000 for each game the Chairman has to be happy with that. Not a chance Mallard. SC wont realise his dreams on a crowd that small. There's teams 2 leagues lower, going full time & building pitch length new stands. ![]() 100
General Discussion / Re: Southend (21st August)« on: August 24, 2021, 06:27:17 PM »Hands up anyone who really believes the current position is sustainable. Obviously Mr Hill does - anyone else apart from the owner? “Investing” money in the club now is putting good money after bad I fear. Sums raised by The Friends, believe me, won’t even scratch the surface. The current scenario has been played out many times before by others and it only ends one way. When that will be is anyone’s guess, but in my opinion it will be sooner rather than later. Let’s hope I’m wrong. Not so sure that the well know phrase “every little helps” is applicable in this case. Any other views? Going to need a lot of first class travellers coming to the Walks to sort that debt out 101
General Discussion / Re: Future games« on: August 22, 2021, 09:01:17 PM »If you can justify and can afford the money you will go....if you can't you won't. Hmm. So this is Mr Cleeve's only appointment then? How's that work, i thought he had his fingers in many pies. ![]() 102
