I am sure the owner would be disappointed in the attendance but we are languishing in 18th position but there were lots of positives yesterday

Excellent performance against a team which was 4th in the league with the passing game we often saw last year. As one person behind me asked 'Is this the same team that we watched against Stourbridge?' Two local men looking after the team. Quality prepared pitch.

If we can string another few results together and climb the league and i believe we have the quality in this side to do so, then i am sure the crowds will increase. We could have had 2-3 more goals in the first half.

I thought Aaron Jones had a solid game and whilst he is not the attacking full back that Norman was his performances impressed me yesterday, far better passing game. Harry Limb still learning the game and needs to predict/gamble how to feed off Gash but scored an excellent goal. Feel a lot more positive about Lynn now that after watching them against Stourbridge

Missed the first goal but for sure all of the players were playing for each other last night and Hawkins tore them apart in the first half. I hope his injury is not too bad as he had to be helped off the pitch when he was substituted. The players were certainly working for each other and making spaces and runs for the team mates to pass into and put in some telling passes. Two of Hawkins goals and Stewart's goal were excellent strikes. Harry Limb just needs a goal but he did work very hard and did put in some very good passes

It was certainly refreshing to see, against a team that Lynn struggled against on Saturday and that at the very least must give the team confidence going forward

I know there is a video of goal 5 on twitter but i am sure i read no cameras went to the match last night or Halesowen

First game of the season for me today and what a difference to last season. Whilst we are missing the icing on the cake in Norman, you have to believe that we still have quality players on that field. There just seemed a total lack of guidance and self belief in what they were doing, too many passes going astray and may be only two shots on goal in 90 minutes.

The supporters around me in the stand were definitely still encouraging the players and applauded when things went right but there has got to be a system that suits these group of players to play far better than what we are doing. Yesterday we were bullied off the ball by a physical team and Stourbridge out thought us and wanted it more - of course they deserved the win.

I know it is hard being a manager particularly when you are trying to change things and give the players and team some self belief. Although Clarke was being very honest in his interview, he did look and feel like a defeated man. I really hope he can turn it round and have people around him pull him up by his boot laces but .....

On a more positive note I thought the defence, except for the first ten minutes, looked fine - Jones defended well but needs to improve his passing. The midfield did fine as well with the excellent Clunan being inventive in midfield. In the final third Gash was off the pace, may be his injury hadn't cleared and then got a dead leg but the forward thinking, movement and final pass was desperately missing. We had one real chance in the second half and got it wrong.

Was a feisty affair last night and with a quite a lot of provocation from the Kettering players, King's Lynn held their heads and therefore had the upper hand when playing football. It really had some atmosphere down at the Walks last night with the chant 'Come on King's Lynn' coming from the main stand even when we were 1-0 down.

These players don't know when they are beaten and the quality showed.

It was a frustrating night with Basingstoke scoring from there only real shot at goal in the first half. I thought overall Basingstoke were very poor and just defended for their lives whilst King's Lynn just didn't get the break to open them up until the subs came on - Cameron King has always looked good.

I know Mettam is more experienced than Siddons but i just cannot see what Mettam brings that is better in any way compared to Siddons - he is really having a big bout of bad form.

I can see why IC was so upset when the Basingstoke number 8 brought down Norman - it wasn't a mis-timed challenge, it was blatantly taking the player out of the game without a thought for the players safety - I have seen worse challenges.

Like others have said, this King's Lynn team just do not give up. Even if they are not having their best of games they can still open up the opposition at any time and eventually became a deserved win.

Always would watch the Linnets over any England friendly

Yes it was a tremendous night and the voice is still hoarse today - well worth 15. Used the on line ticketing system for the first time and went straight in.

Yes i remember when King's Lynn were down to the 'bare bones' when we played Biggleswade two seasons ago and we had about 5 reserves playing. Managed to beat them 2-1
