First game of the season for me and we certainly deserved the win last night hitting the woodwork twice and their keeper making 3/4 excellent saves. Good display from the new lad. Like everybody has been saying though we certainly need these other bodies in to 'shore' up the defence against the better sides. Zielonka is not a defender!

I have to say i thought Cambridge City looked poor overall.

I hope this display gives the lads some confidence and Setch can get the players organised defensively with what he has available at the moment

I wonder how much it cost to do all of the works to the football ground when he took over - quite a lot i would imagine with all the fixtures and fittings. Anything that could be moved was done so

You did indeed -  'Development' teams. Could these be contacts that Nigel Worthington, Fakenham ambassador has got?

I hope you have a long and healthy retirement - your work is much appreciated

i think their membership is quite low, about 8 the last time i heard. It takes quite a bit of time, new ideas and enthusiasm to keep these things going. I think they supplied the disabled covering at one end of the ground, the substitution boards and i think they make quite a contribution to the Live footy screen (not sure if its Sky or BT Sport). Also player of the month awards

Well what a superb night of football at The Walks. Except for the opening 10 minutes of the second half, the quality of football played often in very wet conditions was excellent and thoroughly deserved the 4-0 win - could have been more. Well marshalled at the back by James Spittlehouse.

Entertaining game with Lynn showing a lot of skill on the ball, thinking ahead to make a good pass possible, good control. At 2-0 March had some excellent chances to get on the score sheet but Lynn were just too clinical all round

If the referee 'saw the incident' i don't think an appeal can be made.

There was certainly no camera on the far side to the main stand

Well 6 of them went home happy. Lynn just aiming to finish as high as possible and Champions League footie on I suppose. The missing fans didn't miss much as far as watching a football match is concerned aptly described by Gavin Caney as doggo in the first half. Yes it got better in the second half but Lynn didn't impose themselves on the game which wasn't helped by Mulready being sent off - didn't see the incident but folk say it was very harsh.

As for Hungerford, they were dire, definitely the worst footballing team that i have seen this season but just played to their strengths of hoofing the ball, play acting and gamesmanship. I hope they go up because watching their style of football was awful - it simply wasn't entertainment.

Lovely and sunny here in Lynn with a drying wind - I would be amazed if it is called off

Indeed he was one of the true 'legends' of the game. It seems such a long time ago since he graced the field.

Well last nights performance at least showed there is still some 'fire in the belly' and the players were up for it in a frenetic start to the game. Took a while to adjust when Castellan went off but Sam Gaughran became more influential as the game went on.

John Sands had a steady start and laid-off some good balls and took his goal well. These teams are so closely matched it often just takes that extra piece of skill in front of goal to turn the game in your favour.

And another home win against a top 5 side who had their chances but Street was very good in goal.

Officials don't cheat but crikey, they missed a lot of things last night and if a goal had come from one of them i would have been cheesed off.
