General Discussion / Re: Chester

Just seen in the local Chester newspaper ( The Standard)

They face a King’s Lynn side who boast an impeccable home record and are unbeaten at The Walks since September 1, 2018.

Linnets boss Ian Culverhouse, who was among the candidates interviewed for the Wrexham managerial vacancy, has overseen seven victories from 12 league fixtures to date.

Is IC looking to move on ?

I'm sure that many Clubs will be very interested in him. If he is interested or not in these other Clubs is an entirely different matter.   :dontknow:

Dean Keates has been appointed at Wrexham, so we are still ok at the moment.

Dreamers dream, doers do.

To achieve great things you need to do both.

No you don't
Yes you do,%2C%20giving%20birth%20to%20evolution.%22
No you don't..using your imagination is distinctly different from wistful dreaming
It all depends what you mean by dreaming Mallard. I took your initial ..... oh God! I can't be bothered. Life's too short.

KES......not Mallard.

Agree. Plus I'd say a home tie against a higher/big club would be more likely on TV than an away tie.

I'd quite like Ipswich at home.

Well, we have been promised some big news in October!

Have we been pencilled it for a televised game if we get through the  next round?   :dontknow:

By its very nature, its news that couldn't be announced until October.

We are leaving at 7am. Meeting up with other supporters at the National Railway Museum (its free !), its less than a mile to the ground. We may to sample the beer on route. Staying overnight. COYL !

It's free, but they really appreciate you making a donation of £10 (as many Museum do). When you're in the queue, you'll see everyone else is paying.

Well worth a tenner, even if you're not a train spotter..

Very nice.

I guess this is the big announcement planned for September? Or can we expect something else soon?

Mallard, You are correct. The 4K from the Trust has not just been pledged. It was handed over a few weeks ago.

These kind of things take ages to sort out and be granted, so I doubt it was down to the steering committee. I would have thought it was all started long before they were formed. The application was more likely started just after the lease for Walks was re negotiated and could well have been one of  the reasons why an extended lease was required.   :dontknow:

A cup run can only be good, even the potential of TV rights if the run gets going.

That would certainly put the Club and the Town "on the map" again!
