..................however I do feel there is more to this.

In what way Dazza?

It is easy to say a role with the academy or scouting or indeed any other role but, this all costs money........,.

:dontknow:  Why wouldnít it be self funding? It would be at other Clubs at this level.

Boreham Wood v King's Lynn Town

The Linnets make their first visit to Meadow Park on Monday (3 pm) looking to avenge the 3-0 defeat inflected on them at The Walks in October, which saw Lynn playing the second half with ten men having had Jamar Loza sent off seconds before half time and Archie Mair the hero for his saves and unfortunate villain for conceding a penalty.

Having reached the play-offs last season, 15th placed Wood have become the league's draw specialists this campaign with 16 matches ending all square, 6 of the goalless. Goals, or lack of scoring them, seem to have been a problem for both teams of late. Lynn having not scored in 298 minutes and Wood for 360. Wood having failed to find the net in seven of their last eleven league outings.

While Lynn were losing to Stockport last Tuesday and getting a point against Maidenhead on Saturday, Wood have been without a fixture for eight days having lost 3-0 to Stockport on 24th April.

The main source of Wood's goals is Kabongo Tshimanga who scored twice against Lynn and has notched 17 so far this season bring his total since joining the club to 31 goals from 65 appearances. Along with Tshimanga is the physical presence of Matt Rhead scorer of the other goal against Lynn.

Lynn will hopefully have Elkan Baggott available following his FA Youth Cup exploits with Ipswich Town.

Maybe a position could be found for King with the academy?  That way we can wait to see if itís possible for him to play again.  Be a shame to lose a talent like that, plus the youngster could learn so much from a player of his ability.  Win win.   Not sure what grade ( if any ) Cameron is but hopefully a place can be found for him.

A player that came through a first class professional Academy himself , must know how things work and what needs to be done.

Not a bad idea.

He must have some decent local contacts as well. Would Academy and Scouting be an idea?

The club debt be it 750k or 1 mill the lesser figure predominately owed to one person.   That person has stated on more than one occasion that itís just an accountant process and will not have to be repaid.
The loan that has been taken out is to be repaid by the fans paying a form of levy on admission.

" a form of levy on admission".  You mean another massive increase in admission price?

Marcus. Was discussing this with a few people earlier.

The feeling is that the locals will in the main continue to support it for the time being, but we have no hope of  attracting the casual supporter. I would guess we need both.

People living 25 or so miles away will have the option (depending where they live) of travelling just a few miles  extra and watch the likes of Peterborough or Ipswich (assuming Norwich will always be a sell out) for little or no extra.

Of course the Club needs the money, as do other clubs. Continuing to hit the supporters via the entrance fee can't continue. Sooner or later people will say enough is enough.

Mallard, Iím glad youíre not my financial advisor.  Your assessment and interpretation of a balance sheet is quite amazing.

I think he must usually deal in cash only.

I believe the lease of the ground is not an asset of lynn fc ltd.

Not sure if that's correct North. I know there were rumours about ownership of the lease but my understanding is that it is  (was?) owned by Lynn FC.

What fixed assets could a Club such as Lynn have, to the value shown?   :dontknow:

King's Lynn Town v Maidenhead United

Lynn have the opportunity to complete their third double of the season when they entertain 12th placed Maidenhead United on Saturday.

When the sides met in October, goals by Simon Power and Dayle Southwell saw Lynn come back from behind to cancel out two Sam Barratt penalties, before a 90th minute Aaron Jones goal saw Lynn to a 3-2 win at York Road to record their first ever National League victory.

The Magpies have had a rather mixed season with good and poor runs of results. Going into the game against Weymouth on Tuesday they had managed a run of four games without defeat, with 16 goal striker Danilo Orsi-Dadomo telling the local newspaper that the club were still aiming for the play-offs.

Weymouth, however, produced a shock 1-0 win with Orsi-Dadomo, who had scored six goals in his previous three games, failing to convert a late penalty.

On a frustating night for the Magpies their woes were compounded by the dismissal of defender/midfielder Seth Twumasi.

General Discussion / Hollywood FC

Two "fans" of Wrexham based Hollywood FC have donated part of the their planned £2,000,000 investment into the Club, prior to the completion of its purchase. This will enable the Club to complete the signing of Players prior to the transfer window closing.

I wonder if they have taken advantage of the recent bailouts. If so, and they now have money available, will they do the decent thing and return it for the benefit of the other, more needy, Clubs?

Apparently they are hoping to sign players before the weekend.
