The Passionate Chairman furloughed key players and took out a substantial loan that may well be continuing to influence current operations.
Let's not confuse passion and a lack of financial prudence. Two different things there and it could be said that both apply.
Furloughing players. I think he also furloughed non playing staff but that didn't stop them continuing with their work at the club.
The loan was always going to be a disaster. Didn't Cleeve say at the time that the Club wouldn't be able to pay it back? Crazy. Surely he must have had someone to advise him that it would cause problems going forward!
Did that happen, even if it fell on deaf ears?
Strange times.
It's a sold down the line club for supporters with the vultures circling. Will there be another crisis call coming for donations to help out as last season.
