General Discussion / Re: Heart break for away Linnets.

Quote from: A Well Wisher on October 22, 2025, 11:18:15 AMFurther, I don't know what Joe sees in this Aaron Chapman but for me Louis Chadwick should be our number 1 goalie. Rumours circulating last night that apparently Chadwick is going to be sent out on loan - if that happens then I'm baffled as to what is going on at the club.

Money and balancing a very tight budget?

Everything points to it.

Lynn draw 2-2 away to Worksop after being 2-0 ahead, with the equaliser coming in the 90th minute.

Disappointing as it is with what's been going on recently, I guess we would have been pleased with a draw if we had been offered it pre KO.

Att: 604.

Tonight's results drops us to 16th in the table.

Quote from: Mallard on October 21, 2025, 10:17:40 AMIs this a must win night for Joe Simpson ?  He said he is expecting a reaction. Let's hope for his sake he gets it.

Hopefully he has a full squad to pick from though I do wonder if the lad signed from Spalding,Nyahwema will be included as I understand he is leaving the Club and heading down under.

Nyahwema not in Squad tonight.   :dontknow:

Quote from: Quinn Upstone on October 20, 2025, 12:09:11 PMAnd of course these shows all have someone "famous" involved, not someone like Cleeve whose fame exists only in his own head.

The USP could be the fact that not many Clubs at this level have Multimillionaire Owners that live in Asia.

And whatever people may think of him, Cleeve is an interesting character.

We've all seem the carp that these Reality TV Programs produce and there would be so much for TV Producers to go at here.

I for one would not rule it out completely.

Quote from: Blue_and_Gold on October 18, 2025, 08:57:25 AMI don't know why they haven't named who the "external adviser" is as it's no secret amongst the players or officials and numerous supporters.

I don't believe he's contractually obligated elsewhere either.

Who is it then??

Mark Robinson.

He's the one sitting in the Stand with the ear piece in, communicating with the bench.

I didn't think he was contractually obligated elsewhere, but maybe he is.   :dontknow:

Presumably future Director of Football, when the club wishes to announce he's part of the set up.

Quote from: Mallard on October 19, 2025, 04:43:33 PMMost Managers have a shelf life  at whatever Club and then move on to pastures new. Same as Club owners get jittery when a few results go the wrong way.
That's the World of modern day Football.

In cases such as these, it helps the Manager if the Club has no money to spend.

At least that is until the next big paycheck arrives.

Quote from: Mallard on October 19, 2025, 12:54:12 PMI wonder if Tommy going to Eastbourne is anything to do with a Documentary being made called 'Owning Eastbourne' ?

I think a similar thing at King's Lynn would make riveting viewing.  The relationship between the new regime and SC would making such interesting watching.

Who knows 🤷♂️😉

Wasn't this one of Cleeves plans from years ago? I seem to remember it being mentioned in the early days.

Maybe he could use his position at the Club to organise this and reduce the Legacy debt.

If fact, if he earned that much from it he could afford to repay Jo and retain ownership of the Club.

Quote from: Linnet465 on October 18, 2025, 06:59:22 PM:scarf: well who is the mystery adviser. If he helped selecting the team in the first half his advice is not worth a salt.

Presumably a Bal appointment, like everything else is at the moment, so probably best to email him and ask.

Lynn go down 2-1 at the Walks, to high flying Flyde.

Going in two down at the break, stand in Manager Joe Simpson  made two changes at half time.

Clunan scored on 73 minutes to reduce the deficit, but when  the full time whistle was blown, it was to register a 2-1 win for the visitors.

Att: 1131.

Gates seem to be holding up at the moment.

Today's result takes us down to 15th in the table.
