Quote from: dillydilly on September 27, 2025, 09:44:20 AMI'm not as convinced as some that the current "Rowe" team is much better than last season's squad. There are one or two better players, and a team trying to win games rather than pinch them, but we need a couple of skilful midfielders and another potential goalscorer, dare I say a nipster in the box!

Quote from: Mallard on September 24, 2025, 05:29:49 PMName to throw out there Adam Hinshelwood. Check out his stats as a Manager
Quote from: Colin Fuller on September 24, 2025, 05:00:06 PMJust when Lynn seemed to be in calmer waters after a summer of turmoil and upheaval. The club statement was an insult to supporters who deserve a better explanation.

Quote from: Mallard on September 24, 2025, 04:34:25 PMFeel the whole situation is a a real sad affair. Rowe certainly knows his Football and the expansive brand of Football was indeed a treat to watch at times. How close he was to getting it right we will never know. And there was me hoping to be your assistant.
Hard to believe it's all been chucked up in the air, for what ?
I wonder who people fancy as the next taxi off the rank? I understand I'm in the running but sadly I won't be throwing my hat into the ring. As the person suggesting it has backed enough wrong Horses over the past few years. I wouldn't want to be the next one 😂😂

First big appointment he has had to make and he's got it wrong, big time. The National coverage this now going to attract must have a negative effect on the Club and its business.
Eyes will be very much in Bal going forward. Surely he realised this appointment had all the potential to go wrong yet he took that gamble.
Just read the Club statement. Is that really the best Club can come up with ? I think the least we should expect is some form of apology from Bal. or does he already feel his job is untenable ?
Mall, all managerial appointments come with 'risk' - just look at Clarke or Hughes in recent times, although the risk with with Rowe was always likely to be 'non-footballing'. Personally I am not going to second guess Bal, I said at the time I thought JR was a good appointment and am sorry that we are at this point, that isn't to defend JR and if he and the club consider his actions merit his resignation then that is between them and any other parties involved.
Thoughts now turn to Saturday and a big FA Cup game for Joe Simpson to step up to, nothing in the statement but JR's backroom team looked a little light with Jones going out on loan so wonder if there is the option to recall him to assist Joe until a permanent appointment is made?
