To be honest, I wouldn't be too upset if any of the current names being mentioned got the job.

I feel both Cully and Setch have unfinished business at Lynn. If Bal gives the job to Setch, I hope it's for the right reason and not just to score popularity points with supporters, which has been suggested when Fletcher Toll signed. Who else has ever interacted with the Supporters as much as Setch used to do? People say he has no contacts at this level. Maybe, but he also didn't have anywhere near the playing budget that subsequent Managers had.

With the Cleeve distraction removed, just what could Cully achieve?  I'm sure backroom staff of Backie and Joe would love to see him back at the helm, so the move could even be seen as a seamless one.

Joe? Who knows what we really have here. Could be a real Gem, and who would deny him the chance.

Jimmy Dean. I've said before that he appears to be destined to become Lynn Boss sooner or later.

Adam Hinshelwood and Mark Robinson?  I think they would both have very tough competition from those named above.

Nice problem for Bal to have.

Yes, I would think there's a good chance of it being him (rumour has it was Bal's first choice, but was persuaded by one of his "advisers" to go for Rowe) although full time may be and issue.

Mall, all managerial appointments come with 'risk' - just look at Clarke or Hughes in recent times, although the risk with with Rowe was always likely to be 'non-footballing'.  Personally I am not going to second guess Bal, I said at the time I thought JR was a good appointment and am sorry that we are at this point, that isn't to defend JR and if he and the club consider his actions merit his resignation then that is between them and any other parties involved.

Thoughts now turn to Saturday and a big FA Cup game for Joe Simpson to step up to, nothing in the statement but JR's backroom team looked a little light with Jones going out on loan so wonder if there is the option to recall him to assist Joe until a permanent appointment is made?

Surely there's "risk", then there's "RISK".
