From the home page:

Lynn have announced the signing of Gold Omotayo (full name Gold Ire Omotayo Agbomoagan) a 27-year-old 6ft 4in striker.
Starting with FC Zurich as a goal-keeper he switched to an outfield player in his early teens. He played regional football with FC Schlieren and FC Wettswil-Bonstetten before coming to England and joining Isthmian League Premier Division side Whitehawk in July 2017.

A record of 11 goals in 16 games earned him a trial at Bury where he signed a one year deal. Scoring, what turned out to be his only goal for Bury, on his debut against Yeovil on the opening day of the 2018-19 season, a spell of seven games without a goal saw him join Maidstone on a 35 day loan (five appearances - 1 start) 1 goal.

Leaving Bury, having made 17 appearances (4 starts), he moved to Yeovil Town in August 2019 where he scored twice in 17 appearances and then to FC Halifax Town in October 2020 making four appearances without scoring.
He moved on to Gloucester City in February 2021 playing and scoring on his 73-minute debut, which turned out to be his only game with the Tigers because of the season closing.

He joined Wrexham in April 2021 where he scored three goals from eleven appearances - two of these being against Lynn. It is reported that he rejected an offer from Wrexham to return for pre-season.

"For me personally this is a fresh start and a big challenge and, with the security of a 2 year deal, it is one I am looking forward too greatly." - will we ever learn?  Not 100% convinced he is a NL standard forward from comments elsewhere but we have still given him a two year deal - lets hope he repays that extra security in goals.

A positive is, if we ever need it, we now have a ready made stand in Keeper!.

I will be working on one where you can pay to join via our bank account

Malcolm. Just in case some would prefer to pay by cheque, what is the name on the Bank account?

Do people just have to make the cheques payable to "The Friends of the Linnets"?

Mallard hope some people on here will join the club itís only £5. Per year so except a flood of applications then again I wonít hold my breath

I'd hate for you to have to hold your breath Malcolm, and feel its a shame that you feel that way. These are the people you have to work with and encourage to join, and is the task you have set yourself.

One suggestion I would make is not to call these people Buffoons. It was tried once before and caused a massive backlash which is still having an effect today.

International clearance holding things up, maybe ?

Could be. Apparently that can be quite a mountainous task these days!

You sure can mallard I think you can down load it on the website if not I will make sure you can

Malcolm.

I've just had a look on clubs website to see if I could find the membership form, so I could post a link to it on the forum.

I can't say for definite that its not on the club's site, but if it is I couldn't find it.

Can you look into it please? If you can find a link and forward it to me I'll pin it at the top of the forum for a few days to see if that helps with your recruitment drive.

I know for a fact that you are going to get at least two new members as soon as they can get access to the membership form.

Yes, I heard something to that effect somewhere.......... something along the lines of loovrey doors being held in very high regard in some parts of the world....... apparently if you look through the slats at a particular angle to the sky, at a specific time of day, according to your Latitude, the secrets of the Universe reveal themselves to you. (Very Harrison Ford eh ?) :laughcry:

Ps Please don't call me Shirley

You don't need loovery doors  to find that out.

The answer is 42!

Itís a positive sign Malcolm that there is so much interest in it.

I agree with him Malcolm.

You have certainly generated more interest in the fotl the official independent supporters club of Kings Lynn Town FC, than the people before you.  I'm sure you will get lots of people rejoining, or joining for the first time, now they know the people running it are interested in driving it forward.

Keep up the good work, be transparent,  and keep the information flowing.

It has always been independent there will no change

Has it? Well I never knew that!  :dontknow:

You need to hit that point hard as I'm sure you will get more members if they know its not run by the Club, and the committee reports to its members and not the Chairman.

As it turned out last night the name wasn't changed although it maybe worth noting that the full name of the organisation per their existing constitution is "The Friends of the Linnets - the official supporters club of King's Lynn Town F.C.".

If its Independent, should it not have that discription in its name?

i.e."The Friends of the Linnets-the official Independent supporters club of Kings Lynn Town FC".

Just wondering.  :dontknow:

Cheers Tony that about sums it up I wish we had seen the full title of the fiends ie Surporters club  it would have saved a lot of time but I will in the future be using its Full title of The fiends of the linnets Surporters club with the hope that will satisfy everyone

So, is the plan to make the FOTL an Independent supporters club?
