Masssive off-season coming up for the recruitment team, I just hope they make the (multiple) changes necessary and don't stick with too much of what we have, also note in the article about about many one-year deals being offered, whilst it might not help in terms of potential transfer fees we have now been burnt a number of times with offering multi year deals to unproven players

Looks as if they are sticking to the two year deal format for Coleman.

Greg Plummers Lynn News article today:

King's Lynn Town prepare for a summer of rebuilding in the National League

Robbie Back is bracing himself for a busy summer of activity as King’s Lynn Town start to rebuild for next season’s National League campaign.

Manager Ian Culverhouse is planning an overhaul of his squad in the summer and Back – the club’s director of football – and Dale Stokes are assisting him with his recruitment drive.

Back refused to reveal how many potential targets the club are looking at but The Walks outfit hope to be in a position to name a couple of new arrivals in the next week.

“We’ve got a big rebuilding job on our hands and everybody knows that.

Ian, Dale and myself have been working extra hard in the last two or three weeks planning for next season and talking to a number of players.

There are a number of targets who Ian has identified and we are working hard to try to bring some of those in.

It’s been a very difficult season for so many reasons but luckily we’ve already been able to look at some of the players who we’ve had in on loan because of the situation we have found ourselves in.

It’s not just a case of going out any signing any old player either. We’ve had such a good team spirit in the dressing room the last few seasons and that’s something that we don’t want to lose.

The players have got to fit in with the group who we have already got. They’ve also got to be comfortable on the ball".

Back revealed that trying to sign players is a completely different ball game now that Lynn are in non league’s top flight.

“It’s not a case of speaking to a player one day, then signing him the next,” said Back.

“The majority of players at this level now come with a agent so you are dealing with two parties rather than just the one, it is so much more time consuming.”

Tomorrow, the Linnets travel to Wrexham for their final away fixture of what can only be described as a turbulent and testing campaign for everyone involved with the club.

Next week, Lynn host Solihull Moors (Tuesday) and Aldershot (Saturday) as they finally welcome fans back to The Walks.

“We can’t wait to have the fans back here and we’re really looking forward to our last two games,” said Back.

“They are such a massive part of any football club and we’ve missed their support. Had they been allowed in all season, I don’t think we’d find ourselves where we are in the table now.”

Fantastic idea that Mike.  If the Sponsor would allow it.  Then again why not as they want to sponsor it but don’t want any involvement in using their name on it.

The only other idea I would throw in the mix is The NHS Stand

Either one would generate a lot of interest.

One locally, one Nationally, if marketed correctly.

I'm sure the Commercial department will be on to it.

Have you been there lately ?  :nilpoints:

Unfortunately, yes.

Half an hour was enough.

Bourne to Yarmouth could be a decent trip.   They won’t want to put that fixture into Aug/Sept

Worthy of an overnight stay!

Great News. Thank you, whoever you are.

Now, what should we call the Stand  :dontknow:

I suggest: The Mick Wright Stand.

Is that the plan?

An anonymous sponsor donates 25k but specifies it has to be for the Stand sponsorship, so supporters can choose what the Stand is called?

I only ask as I thought it a bit strange that it was an anonymous sponsor, but they were specifying what the money was for. If their name isn't appearing on the Stand, I couldn't understand why the Stand was involved instead of it just being a general donation.

I understand now.

Great idea Mike. I'm all for it!

I'd have thought the players would want to know which direction the Club is going on this, before committing themselves for next season.   :dontknow:

Good news in that Kings Lynn Stars started their speedway season with a home meeting tonight and it was a sellout.   It shows local Sports fans are ready to get back to watching some live Sport.

What was that?

1500?  1600?

Anyone see the letter and gifts the Foxes Chairman sent to the supporters in the post, prior to the game?

Dear Supporters

Ahead of the club’s first FA Cup final since 1969, I wanted to take the opportunity to mark the occasion and thank you for your incredible support.

Enclosed is a selection of gifts from us to you, which I hope will bring some extra magic to your cup final day, whether you’re lucky enough to be among those supporting the team at Wembley or supporting the team from home.

We’ve missed you this season. Matchdays simply haven’t been the same without you. And after 52 years of waiting, I know how much passion and energy a full contingent of the Blue Army would have bought to Wembley.

But make no mistake. Our aim is to make these occasions a regular part of the Leicester City experience. We will be back. And, in the meantime, I know those at Wembley will carry the roars and passion of you all.

Foxes. Never. Quit.

True B & G and of course if things had been implemented sooner in the UK and in many of the other so called big economies there probably would not have been a world wide pandemic at all.

The World dodged a bullet a few years ago with SARS. If the developed world had continued research into that (more than they did, as apparently the work they did do was invaluable to the covid 19 research) then we would have been more prepared for Covid 19.

The reluctance by leading Nations to spend money on something that may happen in the future, came back to bite them big time.

The leading nations didn’t plan to fail, but certainly failed to plan.

Capitalism at its finest!

With things being serious why are we opening up Monday. Makes you wonder who is pulling the strings.

It's a balancing act.

I wouldn't like to be the person having to make tthe decision.

Personally, I feel they are setting the scene in case of some degree of further restrictions. They know there will be an increase in infections for a while. As long as NHS can cope with this, lifting restrictions will proceed. If there is a danger that it will push NHS to the limits, then they will clamp down hard on it.

The success of getting numbers down is due to lock down. If people don't mix socially, the virus has nowhere to go.

Makes you wonder how sooner the restrictions could have been lifted if more people had followed the rules instead of thinking they didn't apply to them.

Nice to see there was no silly price hike. :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

With only having 625 v Torquay, keeping current pricing structure appears sensible.

Squad building time for next season.

Obviously we don't know who IC intends to keep from the current squad but with the possibility of 2000 league players looking for clubs very soon, who would supporters like to see at Lynn? Let's keep it realistic but ambitious and restrict it to players that we know are available.

Where do we start? Looking around, there already appears to be quite a few players available that fit the bill.
