Perhaps they will give Jared Lines a try from the U23 side
Or a League Club Academy player. Must be quite a few of them that could be tempted.

Yes, you’d think so.

Good spot Malcolm.

General Discussion / Re: Home attendances

Looking at the attendance table posted by admin, then if we continue the trend we have at the moment then this season could be the 3rd highest average in the last 40 years.  So that says to me the fans are doing their bit.

Interesting. So the present season is currently only bettered by 2021/22, the 'post Covid' National League season, where a number of ex league clubs brought some hefty away support with them and 2008/09, our first ever season in the Conference North (under Keith Webb).

Also worth noting the worst season in that list, 1992/93. Johns Dollimore and Musgrove fielding a team heavily comprised of local players. For those suggesting on a separate thread a couple of weeks back that local players could add a few hundred to the gate, an average of 280 suggests that they didn't that season!

5 players straight from Swaffham's first team, into Lynn's first team.

You don't need to be a Managerial genius to work out what was going to happen there.

Regarding the team at the moment we desperately need to get a striker in as soon as possible it’s a great shame that Johnny is going to be out for at least two mths I wish him well in his recovery

A good point to raise Malcolm. I don't think many will disagree with you on that one.

Is it going to happen?   :dontknow:

Good point on the road that one.    We are sitting 9th.  Think most would have taken that at the start of the season with a new team being moulded together.

At this level, many teams have to mould together at the start of a season. I don't think many teams start a season with the majority of their squad still there from the previous season. Many managers seem to take the opportunity at the end of a season to release players that were signed by a previous manager and bring their "own" players in.

A point away at Hereford is a decent result.

Never a dull moment at Kings Lynn FC....Lakeland mentioning some off field issues that they have had to get their heads around.......
.
Seems strange to bring it to supporters attention, but then appears unwilling to share with them what was tough about his week.   :dontknow:

Out for 8 weeks according to Lakeland on Radio Norfolk tonight.

Gaffer sounded very despondent, said it had been a tough week

Did he say why it had been tough (apart from the Margetts matter)?

Bit of confusion here.   Issacson is at AFC Sudbury.   Wack is talking about Josh Stokes who has gone on loan to Cambridge Utd from Bristol City.

I got that.........in the end!  :laughcry:

Academies and “local lads” don’t work at this level because if they are good enough they will be picked off by bigger clubs, which most are, at the level we’re trying to achieve.  That system would only work if the crowd are happy to simply be better than Wisbech!

To Clubs at our level, there's much more to Academies than just finding a "Gem" to sell on.

For example most, if not all, will be local Lads, so there's a Community involvement.

Also, if handled correctly, there's a fair few Bob to be made out of it as well.
