General Discussion / Re: Away win
« on: October 23, 2024, 10:47:38 AM »
4th in a league 3 points from the top is something we would all have taken at the start of the season.   All without Johnny Margetts as well.  Anyone heard how much longer he is missing ?

He's not missing.  :Sherlock:

They know where he is!   :salute:

Did SC not cover this off on his EDP column on Saturday and/or his Prog notes for the Buxton game?  Or maybe the Clubs Social Media have also let the fans know what’s going on with this ?

Not sure, but I don't think there was an EDP article this week. I've not seen Saturdays program so I don't know if there was anything in the notes. I'm not aware of any Social Media comments on this subject so far.

Apparently there's been a "sub-division of shares" filed for Lynn FC Ltd at Companies House.

May not be anything, could be significant.

With the never ending saga of new investors at the Club and an apparent appointment of a New Commercial Director coming soon, I do wonder if they will be one and the same person.

News of former Linnets / Re: Fletcher Toll
« on: October 19, 2024, 09:54:53 PM »
A hat trick today in a 7-0 win. Fletcher has 13 league goals, five ahead of the league's second highest scorer.

Apparently that's 99 goals in the last 3 1/2 seasons.

As Jim Bowen said ‘Look what you woulda won’.   IF we had got passed Curzon then a home game with Big spending Mansfield was our prize.    Mansfield sit 4rd in a league one.    Have to wonder if the Camera’s would have been there as well for a live game.

That’s how the cookie crumbles.  So close, but no cigar.

Hit the post!

What are the prices like for the Speedway at Lynn compared to other tracks ?   Buster certainly wasn’t shy with his pricing structure when he held the reins at The Walks.

Is it still going? I see adverts for Bangers around town, promoting their  kids go free offer, but it's been a long time since I've seen anything advertising Speedway.

Question is . Is this high prices a  Kings Lynn FC  issue or a Kings Lynn in general issue.

My two largest interest's in life are football and live music, now whilst I can appreciate that Kings Lynn Town FC admission charges are generally higher than most other teams at similar levels, I would suggest that the charges to watch live music at the Corn Exchange are far higher to watch lesser acts than can be viewed at for example the Apex theater in Bury st Eds or Norwich Waterfront where currently popular headline acts can be seen at a far lesser cost than endless tribute and past sell by day acts at Kings Lynn Corn Exchange.

Therefore maybe high prices are a Kings Lynn issue and not solely a KLTFC issue.

In that case, it will be interesting to see what the prices will be when they put live music on at The Wallks!

😂

Mr Cleeve owns a football club in England not Germany.....

I agree with  Hoeness ...it is different in Germany and it's not England

If the FA took the same stance as Hoeness then we might see a different price structure throughout the English game.

Do you agree with all of the Hoeness statement or just selected parts of it?

Former Bayern President Uli Hoeneß:

"We could charge more than €120 per season ticket. If we charge €350 per season ticket we would get €2m extra, but what does that mean for us?

The difference for a fan between €120 and €350 is enormous and we do not believe that fans are like cows, which are milked.

Football has to be for everyone. That is the biggest difference between us and England."

Spot on!
