AL has said that when he came to the Club it was a mess.
If that was correct, is it any different now? 453

General Discussion / Re: Season tickets« on: June 08, 2024, 05:34:40 PM »The fact is that buying a season ticket up front at Lynn is about the right price point for this level of football....Paying on the day as most fans tend to do is vastly overpriced and that includes away fans.If the walks was oversubscribed every home game then that's a different story but it's not.The club apparently has new investment but as of yet there is no paper trail whatsoever to back this up so perhaps" the pay on the gate fans" are still subsidising the hobby. We needed 300k to get us to the end of last season. Joe came on board with his investment and we got to the end of the season. So was the 300k all Joe's? Is he going again with more funds or is some of his previous investment still in the Bank? For the amount of money he put in and saving the Club, surely we should be hearing a lot more about him, and if he's going to be financially involved going forward. 458

Apparently the Whatsapp drums are banging this afternoon, and that's usually a precursor to a new signing!

Very few, if any, will go elsewhere. However they will go nowhere, or find another interest. 462
General Discussion / Re: Questions« on: June 01, 2024, 06:22:25 PM »Was it not Paul who was suggesting a big pitch overall had been planned for the summer months, which was going to cost serious money. Surely that can’t amount to just a new mower, courtesy of Ben Burgess ?

You're probably correct, but don't you think something has to change somewhere, if we needs gates to increase? Obviously we all suffer from cost of living increases, but lets not also forget that energy prices have come down by a large amount, and the Club has released/not resigned the most expensive players on the books. It would seem, again on face value, that the club will be receiving an increase in revenue, at the same time as a decrease in expenditure. I'm not saying that's wrong, but there's always two sides of the coin when looking at such things, and the Club does seem to only want to point out the things that are in their favour. 465
General Discussion / Re: Season tickets« on: June 01, 2024, 02:18:44 PM »So a 3.3% increase. Nothing wrong with that. "Nothing wrong with that". 3.3% increase does not look too bad on the face of it but surely that depends where the starting point is. If it's too high to start with, the compounding effect just means it's getting worse all the time! Any increase is no incentive when it comes to attracting new supporters. And of course people will compare to other clubs prices, who may be charging less for a higher level of football and better facilities. |
