Also, I could be wrong but I got the impression that training was to be based at Lynnsport and The Walks rather than the more expensive Ely option.

:dontknow:

Not heard that one.

If true and it works, makes sense.

Whilst like most fans I'm delighted at the speed, quality and age profile of players that have been signed by the new coach for which he deserves credit along with the new owners making the decisions albeit not with the formality of there names on Companies house yet. Does anyone really believe with the exception of a couple of naysayers that this will not happen in due course when agreements with the DCMS and I assume the Trust are concluded.
However my only slight concern is the financing of this new squad against the background of the impending DCMS repayments and that the Club lost over £200k last season with a similar size squad. The only difference so far seems that at least 6/7 of the players are locally based which must save some money on accomodation and travel expenses. I just hope that the new owners are not just keeping fans happy whilst taking there eye off the bottom line. After the Cleeve years of " jam tomorrow " we now want an owner who is realistic and matches expectations to income.

Registering as PSC at Companies House is not discretionary. It's mandatory. Its also quite simple to do. There must be some reason behind an obvious reluctance to do so. Bal said Trusts job was good governance. Well here's their first opportunity to make sure things are done correctly (and signing an NDA wouldn't effect this). The Happy Clappy brigade may not think this matter  important but we are a NLN Club, not a Saturday League team. In fact, this matter is important enough that failing to register PSC at Companies House can actually carry a prison sentence.

The DCMS loan is a completely different matter, and has nothing to do with Companies House.

So, as this subject has been raised, what exactly is the Club trying to negotiate? Would it really hurt to inform the fans, and in particular the Trust members? After all, they are after 95k of supporters money. Whats the big secret on this one?

What if the DCMS say no to renegoiating the loan? Does that mean that Jo will cut his losses and say good bye? Jo wants his 700k back (apparently Cleeve claims its only 500k). If anyone (Club, Trust, Supporters) would like to inform us how a club this size can afford to repay 700k to Jo and also service a 500k loan to DCMS, then we are all ears. There are also quite sizable other loans outstanding (e.g. Directors loans). Its ok saying these will be wiped off but if that's the case, why haven't they been already?

Going forward, and if current activities and the way things are being done are anything to go by, it looks like supporters being kept out of the loop but at the same time being asked to pay more, is going to be worse than its ever been.

Unfortunately there's still appears to be areas of concern, and many issues that need resolving.

Squad wise, all looks good and well done to whoever it was at the Club that made the decision to give JR the job. Certainly looks like a more attack minded squad that what AL assembled, and I'm sure the football will be far more entertaing this coming season.

Bob Dylan did a song called "On a little Street in Singapore".

It also mentions Lotus, so there's a Far East and local connection there.

Only two verses, so easy enough for supporters to learn the entire song.

Hopefully we can get a couple of seasons out of him.
I wish we could get Alex Babos back. He isn't confirmed as staying at Hereford yet or maybe Joseph Nyahwema who has just left Spalding
I think  Joseph Nyahwema is "relocating to Australia to join his family who moved overseas during last season."

Some players say one thing, but when the right offer comes along . . .
You might want to write his pen picture Admin.

Tulip talk suggests Joseph Nyahwema is going to sign for Lynn.  :dontknow:

Without being disrespectful some would say yes, if you really cared about the Club i'm sure spending a few extra pounds to help the finances would be the least we can all due considering the mess left by Cleeve with a huge loan which will need repaying to consider.
As a long standing fan you will know only to well the money problems the Club has suffered over the years and the new owners have pledged to run the Club in a more responsible way. I think the season ticket package has tried to please all and its a shame that you have felt differently. You cant keep comparing admission prices with other Clubs in the league who have a generous owner or much larger attendances when considering costings for the season. I do hope you get a reply from the Club but I guess the people running the Club are very busy approving players contracts at the moment with the new season rapidly approaching.

There are no new owners. Stephen Cleeve still owns 100% of the Club via Blue and Gold Holdings Ltd. TSI now have control of operations, and that's a lot different to owning the Club. Stephen Cleeve still owns the lease to the Walks.

Some just don't have the extra money. Lynn has a old fan base, many are on pensions. People are being squeezed everywhere. Knowing that the playing budget has been reduced by 30% and at same time being asked to pay more to watch, will to some seem rather strange. Its got nothing to do with "really cared about the Club", and to even suggest it IS rather disrespectful.

I've never known a time when people become involved with a Club where they don't say they will run the Club in a more responsible manner. Certainly that's what was said previously when the former Club was formed. I seem to remember "so it will never happen again" being said. Only time will tell on that one.

What's responsible mean? Jo running the Club with the main aim of getting his money back? If that is the case, surely "responsible" would be repaying the DCMS loan before consideration is given to the any money he's entitled to? I still can't really see how a combined total of 1.2 million can be serviced by this Club. Irrespective of the season ticket prices, that's a helluva lot of money that needs repaying.

On that subject, supporters have no idea how Jo's money is actually in the Club. He has no shares. Neither him or Bal are registered at Companies House as having any involvement with the Club or Blue and Gold Holdings Ltd. There doesn't seem to be any financial charges on the Club or Blue and Gold Holdings Ltd. Was it even a loan? Was it sponsorship and somebody has now changed their minds and wants it back? Is he really legally entitled to it back, or just chancing his arm? The Supporters don't know, and some may not be willing to pay for a season ticket, or even on the day of the game, unless they know what's happening to the money they pay to the Club. Presumably the Trust members would like to know the terms of Jo's money being in the club before any financial commitment is made.

If one can't compare the price of season tickets to those being offered by other Clubs, I really don't know what yardstick to use. Surely its the most sensible comparison to use? I'm sure other Clubs have their own financial difficulties. Being massively in debt is not unique to Kings Lynn FC.

Having a "generous owner" is what got the Club into the financial problems it is now experiencing. Of course in our particular case, a generous owner still didn't stop us from having the most expensive admission prices in the division.

Thought that was the price for them in NLN. This is a step up

Maybe Halifax have come up with this novel idea of not over paying.   :dontknow:

I wonder if Halifax would have funds available for Transfer fees. I understand there budget is one of the lowest in the NL.

Presumably they've got at least 120k available to fund Adam and Sam.

They can't be that hard up!

I suppose Lynn could ask for a transfer fee, unless of course they want them off the books.

I believe them both to be contracted players, and yes, you would like to think some sort of fee would be received.

You cannot but admire how our new manager has gone about restructuring the squad. Being fast out of the blocks is something of an understatement! But what a contrast with off field activities and before that comment is jumped on from certain quarters, i am not talking about the financial intricacies and detail but as i posted previously, is it unreasonable to ask who is running the club day to day: who is our proactive manager reporting to, who is responsible for ticket pricing policy etc?

When Colin Fuller posted that the official club website had confirmed Bal as CEO, with no mention of Mr Cleeve (Colin subsequently posted that the page in question had been taken down and that is still the case) i thought i would seize the moment and write to our new CEO, congratulating him and confirming that Mr Cleeve's exit would encourage me to return as a paying supporter, with one proviso: that more appreciation might be shown to older supporters by way of a more competitive  concession ticket price, which had not been the case when Mr Cleeve ran things. I made a constructive suggestion for which i take no credit; Coastal Linnet had suggested this in an earlier forum post: A book of ten flexible competitively priced concessionary tickets. I would most certainly purchase one as would i believe a number of others whose attendance at games is governed by such as health and weather.

Disappointingly but unsurprisingly, i have  not had a response.

Not unreasonable at all Rod.

The courtesy of a reply costs nothing.

Sadly, I have to say I'm not in the slightest bit surprised.
