I think its reasonable for supporters to expect a major rebuild during the summer. Although we avoided the drop, the last 6 games would have seen us sitting in a lowly 20th place in the form guide. Despite Jones numerous heroics, we still conceded 9 goals in those games. Unless AL is confident that he can get a lot more out of the current squad next season, surely logic would dictate that (unless we want more of the same in the new season), some serious changes will have to be made.

Dixon Hodge between the sticks yesterday. What are they planning to do with him? Jones the saviour in many games this season (could be said his numerours important saves kept us up), but he can't go on forever.

Just watched AL 15min interview after the Sports game. Interesting insight into what the hopes are for next season. Has a hit list drawn up for who he wants in for next season.
Puts a bit more meat on the bone to the mess inherited when he entered the building earlier in the season. Was very critical Of the standard recruitments last summer. I guess the likes of Bartley, Clifford,Oke, Smith, Spence etc could fall into that category. Who was actually behind last summer’s new signings ?
To me the one glaring mistake in recruitment terms was Mark Hughes being appointment by Stephen Cleeve. The rest followed behind that.
Well yes, BUT..... If he didn't have the money for anything better at the time, what was he supposed to do? No secret what Club finances were like when he decided to give the job to Hughes, and also in fairness to Hughes, that would also have hindered his recruitment. Things then improved with finances and AL coming in. A question is if Joe's money was just used to get us to the end of the season (I seem to remember the Chairman saying that 300k was needed to do that ), or if are there surplus funds for AL to use on his shopping list for next season.

Well that's Banbury down for definite
So 1 place left between 7 teams
Farsley play at Darlington on Saturday so that may almost decide matters
Blyth at Scunthorpe on Saturday and the following Saturday at home to Brackley
Also Rushall are at Southport this Saturday
We look almost home and dry, with teams taking points off each other

Is there a rule that they must start or play certain minutes each game ? Certain player seems to be ahead of a few and I’m yet to see him break sweat !!

Good result tonight that ensures NLN safety, Peterborough's win does the same for them so pressure off both teams for the weekend. SC can now start making plans for next season at step 2, would like to think that includes finally addressing some off the off-field areas but experience would probably suggest otherwise.
Great result tonight. Next season Tony? First question.Full time or part time? With most of the income being derived from gate receipts, how can we justify a full time squad when gates are below 700 as they were again tonight. 683 tonight. 13 years ago (12th April), Chris Bacon scored in a 1-0 win against Long Buckby at step 5. The gate was 636! I think you are correct about off field areas, so either way it looks as if someone will have to dig deep again. Well done to AL and his Lads for keeping us at step 2.

That’s two games on the trot where we have chucked leads away. Really we should be done and dusted where relegation worries are concerned.
It seems teams around us have all stepped up to the plate when needed and sucked us right back into the battle. AL said he was expecting a reaction today. Did he get it ?
1 point gained today or two dropped ? Time will tell. One saving Grace is we now have back to back games at home. Though our home form is nothing to write home about.
I can't see how anyone can put a positive spin on the result today. AL asked for a reaction and it sounds as if he didn't get one. Reality is that we should have had six points from our last two games, but have ended up with one. Result is we are again fighting for NLN survival, when we should have our NLN status for next season all put to bed by now. ,
