Are there any fans who actually want Mr Cleeve still at the club. If not, then why not just boycott all games and let him get in with it. Action speaks louder than words as they say.
This forum only represents a small percentage of Lynn fans, but if the views on here are more widespread, why would SC hang around, assuming that he is aware of the general feeling towards him.

This forum doesn't represent the supporters, a small proportion or otherwise.

It just allows supporters to post their views and opinions etc to fellow supporters.

Trust Statement

In the light of today's article in the Eastern Daily Press and following some discussions, the Trust Directors have agreed that now is the time to step back from any further discussions with Turn Sport Investments (TSI).

We would like to thank TSI for all their work in putting together a pathway for the future of the Club which is not possible to achieve at the moment. I'm sure they will act responsibly to assist the Club as much as possible.

The Trust remains committed to achieve its aims and hope that one day the Club will be financially self-supporting and not continuously looking  for outside investment to survive. If there are any lessons to be learnt from this ongoing saga, a strong and well-funded Trust will be essential in the future

On the morning of the Scunthorpe game the Club had to go cap in hand to the Lord Napier to " borrow three barrels of beer " as I presume there was insufficient at the ground for the seasons biggest crowd. Club on stop ?

I hope they asked for cash in hand before parting with the barrels.

Allegedly IF the grant to repair the stand floor ever materialises he has said he will pay that account.

All should be well.

He is a man of his word after all.   :shark:

Ken

What's the connection between paying for changing room  refurbishment and obtaining a grant for the stand floor (yet more taxpayers money no doubt)?

Any idea why a local Tradesman should be made to wait for payment depending on the outcome of yet another grant application?

........plus another 700k from his Singapore investment buddies who just love throwing money into his hobby and never want anything in return.

Fools and their money springs to mind!

Whatever sort of business people would allow this to happen is beyond me!

Have to think it must be very easy to earn lots of money in Singapore.

I think you will find the threat of not taking over the club or putting money in to pay the bills..........

Apparently TSI haven't been doing that for a while now.

Of course the phone between Cleeve and Lakeland will be red hot this arvo.  Begging the best  Manager in the League to return.  Then of course how can Bal stay and work with a guy who he wanted out of the club.  Would leave his position untenable surely ?

I thought Jo/Bal said just last week they wouldnt work with Cleeve.

What a Soap Opera this is. 😉.   Has the deal with new investor actually been signed off on or is this the latest Cleeve 'big idea'

Norwich Paper saying something along lines of unlikely the Trust will now be involved if Cleeve stays, but yes, I'm sure that Bal and Jo said the same thing a few weeks ago.

I'm lost on what sort of control TSI have over the Club or Cleeve. When Lakeland was sacked it was Cleeve that sacked him but it's now being said that he was made to do it by TSI.  :dontknow: How can a majority shareholder be forced into doing something he is against doing, unless these people are Persons with Significant Control (PSC) which apparently Bal/Jo/TSI do not have.

If that is the case, has this control now disappeared? How can TSI exert this kind of control but then apparently have their hand forced when it comes to new money being put into the Club? Or maybe the new deal hinges around TSI being given some of their money back. If so, that shows where their first priority really is.

What exactly is the agreement between TSI and Club/Cleeve? I believe its obvious that it all hinges around the quoted figure of 700k.

Having said that, I can't find any notice of any charge in relation to the 700k against either the Club or Blue and Gold Holdings, and I would be really surprised if Cleeve has given a personal guarantee.

Anybody have any ideas?

However I think Jo also has to take a certain amount of responsibility as he has put another £700k into the loan column on the balance sheet. In 15 months.  With the promise of loading it up by another £500k next season.

Of course he does. He was kicking around in December 2023. Apparently the relationship didn't deteriorate (fully) until Jan/Feb 2025. Its been very clear who's was pulling the strings for last season, so unless Cleeve spent the 700k between December 2023 and May 2024, surely this overspend must fall at Jo and Bal's door as much as it does Cleeves.   :dontknow:

Of course I stand to be corrected on this if anyone knows any better.

Either way, it is what it is, and the people in charge have put the Club in this position, nobody else.

One person running the club can't continue.

How about two men then (Jo with input from Bal), as that's what will happen if we go down the minority share route. At least we know what we are dealing with when it's Cleeve. None of us know anything about Jo other than what we can find on the internet (and that's not ALL good if you take time to research). My fear is that it will be little different than it is now.

As for communication, I have good reason to believe that could be worse than it is at the moment. It doesn't seems Bal (or it could be Jo) believes supporters should know what's going on, which really surprises me with his alleged background and being a Trust member.

Mall, do you not think the £300K of investment for next season is sitting on that famous table of yours.

Everyone can see the man is a busted flush except the man himself who is being as obstructive as he can to those who who do actually have a chance of stabilising our Club.

Watch this space. He's not out of the game yet.

In fact, apparently very much still in it.

At the moment, I can see Jo and Bal departing before Cleeve does (although that's a very fluid situation).

Would hopefully also mean better communication and openness to ALL fans, whether a trust member or not.

What a nice thought, but for now lets just start with the Trust members.

We don't want them to get information overload!
