Joe definitely exists I met him  :scarf:
See you all Saturday.
Up the Lynn.

That's nice to hear. Thx for that.

Have you been informed of what role he will be playing at the Club?

e.g. Owner/part owner/sponsor?

Will he (or his right hand man) be actively involved in the day to day running of the Club?

Will he now have overall control with regards to final  decision making?

Or, have we got to wait for Saturdays EDP to find out what's happening?

I'm Spartacus! :comeon:

Has anyone seen M A Hill, B & G , SC and Joe in the same room at the same time ????? :laughcry: :laughcry: :laughcry:

I've never been in the same room as M A Hill, or SC but I have been in the same Stand at the Walks, and at various other Grounds. As far as Joe is concerned, I wasn't there the night he visited, so I can't claim to have seen him in person, let alone be in the same room.

Joe's picture is easily obtainable on the internet (especially if you know his AKA name). I copied the photo and asked a couple of people if this was who they had seen on the night he was supposed to have visited, and they both confirmed it was. So yes, there is a Joe and yes, he was at the Walks the other night.

We have only heard what his involvement is from the one source. Does he have an involvement already, will he have at sometime soon, has he had a change of heart, is it all wishful thinking etc etc.

Being present the other night doesn't answer any of that (nor does the train ticket, which funnily enough could have been issued to another name that's been mentioned recently and would travel on that very same train to get to that particular match the other Tuesday night). At the moment, presumably to all the supporters, "Joe" is just a once only visitor to the Walks. He obviously exists, but if its the kind of Joe that so many expect, been led to expect, or want, is an entirely different thing.

If everything is going to plan and has been hinted at, why hasn't it all be finalised yet?

By the way, Grissles is definitely Sparticus........................I've seen the film.

And Pink, it still seems you are posting in the manner of an ex Lynn Official, just like Kes used to.   :laughcry:

If Joe was present, surely he would have been sitting in the box.

Apparently that's where he was seen.

General Discussion / Tonight's games.

Two of the three games planned for tonight were postponed, presumably due to the weather.

In the game that did proceed, Alfreton took all three points on their visit to Oxford.

The result saw them leapfrog Lynn, who are now down to 9th in the table.

Is the general feeling now that SC has come to the end of the Road and Bal and Jo are taking full control, either by design or by default ?

That has been suggested to me.

Time will tell.   :dontknow:

I don't believe all this tripe about Joe not being present off course he was there l no for a fact he was present I wish we had won to show him what a good team he had brought into but alas it wasn't to be

Malcolm, I'm sure that a "Joe" was there.

Personally I do wonder if how he's involved is exactly as we have been informed.

As always time will tell on this one, as it will with regards to us being a good team or not.

Whilst discounts on matches are great and will hopefully attract more through the gate, I'm increasingly wondering why I bothered buying a season ticket.

And please don't give me the "supporting the club" bit.

I bought my season ticket for early bird price for a reason. Money is tight. Now it seems that I should have just waited for the lowest price and bought seats one match at a time.

I can see that some season ticket holders may feel that way, but "supporting the club" is actually a reason many still buy them.

I think there was always going to be a good chance of discounted ticketing being used, due to so many people deciding not to attend games due to the high pricing. I don't think this has come as a surprise to many.

The question will be, is the discounting of tickets as a sole initiative, enough to attract people back to the Walks when the team is on such a poor run of late? Time will tell on that one.

To buy a season ticket or not is a decision down to the individual and probably their circumstances at the time.

As they say, "you pays your money and you takes your choice".

Let's hope the new guy Bal hits the ground running and proves more successful that his predecessors.  Least he comes from the right background.  So maybe has half a chance.

You haven't noticed some subtle changes already?   :dontknow:

As one example, the next home game was advertised outside the ground the week before last!  :comeon:

If the new Football Club radio broadcast means the end of Radio Norfolk at Lynn games then I'll miss Nick Bowlers commentary.  A very knowledgeable man on all things involving local football.

I don't think it would mean that to be honest. There has always been a very good working relationship between the football club and Radio Norfolk and I'd expect that to continue. One complimenting the other would be the ideal situation IMO.

If the Chairman had his own broadcasting option available, he may not wish to co-operate with the BBC on this one.

On the other hand, if Bal is given overall control of such activities (I believe he officially starts tomorrow) then that could be a different matter.

:dontknow:

It's been quieter than usual recently (well at least on Social Media, with no change otherwise), but I expect that to change dramatically very soon.

A 80 minute goal for the Linnets is not enough to stop them going down 2-1 away to Leamington., after the hosts went 2 up after 8 minutes.

I do have it from the most reliable of sources that Joe does actually exist and he was seen at the Ground last Tuesday, although apparently he didn't talk to anyone.

Two questions:

Who told the Source?

If he exists, is his interest in the Club in the format that has been suggested to us?

:dontknow:

None of it seems to stack up....bizarre indeed.

I agree, but it's no more bizarre than many other matters over the past few years.

As for the blame game Manager are always quick to put out mistakes made by officials.  Like they are anything different to anyone else.  Managers are very cautious though to call out a player who has given away a goal, missed that golden chance.  To easy to shift the blame onto the officials.  They are an easy target.

Maybe with what AL was able to put on the bench yesterday ( not a game changer in sight) then where does he lay the blame for that one.?

I suppose it could be said that if a club is serious about promotion, they should never find themselves in that position.

Therefore, IF there are people to "blame" the shortlist is, well, Short!
