Question is . Is this high prices a  Kings Lynn FC  issue or a Kings Lynn in general issue.

My two largest interest's in life are football and live music, now whilst I can appreciate that Kings Lynn Town FC admission charges are generally higher than most other teams at similar levels, I would suggest that the charges to watch live music at the Corn Exchange are far higher to watch lesser acts than can be viewed at for example the Apex theater in Bury st Eds or Norwich Waterfront where currently popular headline acts can be seen at a far lesser cost than endless tribute and past sell by day acts at Kings Lynn Corn Exchange.

Therefore maybe high prices are a Kings Lynn issue and not solely a KLTFC issue.

In that case, it will be interesting to see what the prices will be when they put live music on at The Wallks!

Mr Cleeve owns a football club in England not Germany.....

I agree with  Hoeness ...it is different in Germany and it's not England

If the FA took the same stance as Hoeness then we might see a different price structure throughout the English game.

Do you agree with all of the Hoeness statement or just selected parts of it?

Former Bayern President Uli Hoeneß:

"We could charge more than €120 per season ticket. If we charge €350 per season ticket we would get €2m extra, but what does that mean for us?

The difference for a fan between €120 and €350 is enormous and we do not believe that fans are like cows, which are milked.

Football has to be for everyone. That is the biggest difference between us and England."

Spot on!

.......and only conceded 2 , both right at the end

The idea is to score more than you concede.  :laughcry:

This discussion has again drifted into talking about how the club is run. The original heading is Curzon On Saturday. Could we change the conversation to how the team may perform and the subsidised coach and things to do with Saturday. Please start another thread up if you wish to talk about how good or bad you think the club is run.

This has been covered previously.

Subject matters evolve, just as verbal conversations do. It's perfectly normal for this to happen.

What I would suggest you do is to now make a post on the subject of Curzon on Saturday, that hopefully others will respond to.

I always buy a season ticket it's a bit cheaper that way,the cost of running a club like ours must be enormous with the likes of Electricity and other odds and sods taken into the equation. The chairman has poured thousands off his own money into running the club .i do appreciate the ticket is but what's the alternative,

His Club, his choice.

And of course the Elephant in the room........what happens when he decides to stop pouring thousands of pounds of his own money into the Club? Who services the debt then?

Yep this is where it gets circular.....the only way to service it is for someone else with big money to take over and so it goes on........... unless of course it all starts again lower down the pyramid.

Football Chairmen tend to want to lose their own money when they buy Clubs, not take on the debts from the previous one.

Take out the away fans and it's a home gate of circa 700 Pink.  I thought those days were behind us with crowds to date averaging 4 figures.  That's a huge drop. Hence why I used the word 'surprise, cos you know what ?  It did surprise me 😂

It is a huge drop Mall, but nothing is really  being done to up the core support in terms of fans feeling really connected.....and I believe the core support that would go on a cold wet day if Lynn were mid table and out of the Cups is....and has been for a good few years around 700......... probably actually 699 now that Rod has given up his hobby due to the pricing

700 is not a lot of good if he needs 1500 to break even, so Joe doesn't have to keep ploughing the money in.

Expensive admission as well.   Saturday was myself, son and grandson cost for admission £52.  If the 3 of us go to Curzon Saturday the admission will be £33.  That's a staggering 58% more expensive to watch Lynn at home than away.

How does Cleeve truly justify that ?

He can't, although I'm sure he would try.

Maybe it's down to having an overseas investor. :dontknow:

Have to say the attendance of 870 was a big surprise when you factor in Darlo must have brought 159/200.

Awful crowd considering we've been getting 1,000+ most weeks. I can't help but feel that there'll be some who have been put off with the £19 (slightly more for sitting) admission prices, considering our brand of football isn't exactly easy on the eye at the minute

Full time and fit though.  :)

Just reading the Prog from yesterday.  Few little titbits.

New Commercial joins next Month from a EFL club.  Hopefully this one will sticker around and do a decent job.  It's no surprise that we seem to burn though people in this job.  I wonder why ?

Where will he/she be based? Singapore? A call centre in New Delhi?

SC in his column seemed very happy with the outcome of the out of court settlement that Aldershot are coughing up.  Words saying they will think twice before doing that again.   Hope it was money well spent for The Shots as they got pasted 5-2 yesterday and sit in a lowly 17th place

Shots forum hinting that sum was approaching six figures and being taken out of Tommy's playing budget? No smoke without fire so could explain why supporters call for much needed new signings is not being answered.

Trouble at The Walks last Tuesday night during the penalty shoot out.  I wonder if that was the reason we had a big security and Police presence for the game yesterday?    Another FA hearing  and fine heading our way.

Sounds as if it was nothing more than handbags, but Lynn needs to be so careful due to previous incidents.

Also a new supporters Club is being formed.

Great news. Let's hope so. It needs to be independent, not have officials appointed by the Club. That way it should provide the opportunity for supporters to be appointed due to their ability and willingness instead of other reasons. We always used to have fantastic supporters Clubs, but that has never been seen since the Club was reformed.

The Linnets come from being a goal behind to take all three points with a home win against Darlington.

Kings Lynn 2 v Darlington 1.

I came up against this register or no access to news. I'm not impressed at all. I don't like being bullied into signing up just to have the honour of faster news and an email I don't want and probably won't read.

Since YLP has joined with Lynn News they have complete control and a monopoly over local news coverage. (I'm assuming that the EDP doesn't cover much news relating to the club)

I for one regret the passing of a free local paper.

I wouldn't disagree about the loss of a free newspaper, but if it's not profitable then it was only going to go in one direction.

As far as the sports reporting in YLP, I don't think many will miss that too much.
