Mac, if you are interested in stats and gates I find them fascinating, l have just been looking at all 1950 to 59 seasons and they are amazing makes it looks like Lynn are scratching around now, I bet the atmosphere at the ground was electric. .its really good now with over a thousand in but to imagine in those days every home 2000 plus

If the chairman is relying on gate money to run and further the club Kings Lynn is on the slippery slope.
Hereford have been and still are a bigger club than Lynn probably bigger running costs also and cheaper entrance fee.
I read the Non League paper and study the gates and think how on earth do they survive ? no brainer really their social side
is probably as big as the football side. On more than one occasion "Fenman" offered his help free of charge to get involved
in fund raising ideas, his other club is Dulwich Hamlet who play in a very congested part of London football wise and survive
through a successful social side of the club, look at their League position current gates I apologise Kevin if I have this wrong, have'nt
seen you post for a while so hope you are OK.

Some fond memories,  Fenman posting that when he got to Deeping and found they had jacked up the entry he turned round and came
                                 back.
Sitting on the bus at Buckby waiting for Paul, someone shouted "did you see the fight Paul" to which he replied
"see it I was in it trying to break it up"

                                  Happy day's

Just got to repeat last post "13 games to go" "13 games to go"  who would have thought at the start of the season Lynn would be top.
Do players get bonuses for top 3 positions ?
Amazing all is possible Slough 6pts Hereford 3pts why not ?

Marcus, I signed for Wembley in the 50's, I lived in West London and played for Erith & Belvedere which was a bus and 2 trains for a home
game and took about 2 hours, when opportunity to play for Southall came along a no brainer as 1 bus  and could train at Southall, however things didn't work out and I was released but said Wembley wanted to sign me, I went to Wembley and was told the keeper played so well last week that they couldn't drop him. their next game was against Erith & Belvedere whom they beat 6-0 so I went back to them without playing a game for Wembley, happy days, Home games for me would be Uxbridge, Wembley, Chesham, Slough, Maidenhead,
anywhere west of London.

I'm with you Mallard, How long would it take IC to get another Job ? probably much higher level too. Is there another coach at this
level with his recent level of experience. Start of the season it would be just a dream for Lynn to be where they are after these many
games. As for Setch, did a great job and great bloke but please don't put him anywhere near the IC level. Massive loss and not replaceable
at this level.

Mallard, one thing Kings Langley have over Lynn is catchment area , have a look at the map for football league clubs not very far away.
Southern League clubs use to be full of retired or failed ex pro's.

Reply to Coastal L, How the Mighty have fallen I think the saying goes , I went with Watford res. up to play against Coventry we stopped
at a Blue Boar I think it was called on the motorway, we had steak with a poached egg on top,I was released at the end of the season and went to Ramsgate, my first game was away to Corby we stopped at the same place the skipper was given 50p a head to buy a burger each. Happy days.     :scarf:
