General Discussion / Re: Barnet away Tuesday

With Barnet losing 3-1 at home to Bromley on Saturday they will not want two home defeats on the bounce.  Lynn will do extremely well to come away with anything from The Hive.  Dover is a must win game.

That's a very fair point LL.  The Premier League is no longer affordable to the average working man, it has got completely out of control. Most people who claim to support a top team are only in fact followers of a team as they never actually get to see that team play due to the ridiculous prices to line the pockets of the rich.

Heacham's debut in Senior football. A nice little set up there.

So this means that the date shown on the last seasons shirts (1879) is incorrect.  Will this be rectified for this season?

I believe Lynn are exempt until the 4th Qualifying Round of the FA Cup given their new status.

Thanks Nigel,

Yes it paid off Mallard, they haven't increased their prices for 3 seasons with season ticket sales breaking records each year.  They did an early bird offer which offered a substantial discount. I think it worked out at around 11 a game for a full paying adult.

They also don't charge for their U/23 games, also they open up their facilities to screen lunchtime PL games on match days and the first pint is free.

Season tickets need to have a significant discount for them to be attractive, Lynn's was pitiful.

Bromley for 2019/20 was 18 which include seating but if booked in advance online 15.

Premier League/EFL season ticket holders 15

Concessions/NHS/Armed Forces/Emergency Services 13 if booked in advance online 10

Full paying adult also include 2 free children if required.

General Discussion / Re: Venue cancellation

As Loughborough said there would be terms and conditions.  Money has been paid to book the venue for a particular date, there would also be times to adhere to, when guests can arrive and when they should leave, so yes there are terms and conditions either in written or oral form.  If Mr Cleeve is not refunding this gentleman claiming there are no T&C's then this cannot be so.

Give the man his money back to which he is entitled.

Didn't someone post a while back that they are still waiting for a refund to an online ticket purchase relating to a match that was postponed?

It will certainly make people think long and hard before considering using the B&G as a venue, potentially a costly own goal.

No Mallard, you can't blame the players they'll obviously take what they can.  It's the whole structure.  I think they'll be in for a shock as many unfortunately will find things very hard as a result of Coronavirus.  How can anyone seriously consider paying outrageous prices to watch the PL when they have a family to support.

Common sense and priorities in life must come first.

Money has ruined the game. To think that the top earner in League One is earning far more in a week than a nurse does in a year is obscene. I have lost total interest in the Premier League, can't even be bothered to watch MOD. Just look at them now wanting to restart to PL in June, obviously to stop repaying sponsorship money. It won't happen but it just shows you what is on their mind.

I hope supporters finally wake up they're taking you for mugs, support your local team COYL.

Barnet have made 60 non playing staff redundant as a result of the Coronavirus situation.

The Football Association has suspended all grassroots football for the foreseeable future.

There is no way another ball can be kicked at The Walks until the Emergency Services are again allowed to attend mass events.  Just think if a supporter has a heart attack or a fire breaks out.  No owner of any club can stage a match knowing that the emergency services will not be attending their ground if required.
