Probably by implementing the substantial price increase for admission he mentioned in the press a little while back Tony.

What absolute hogwash from Mr Cleeve in his recent EDP article.
1. Was installing a scoreboard at a cost of £45,000 a necessity? Most fans are quite capable of keeping track of the score. 2, Kidderminster's admission prices are above ours. Not true, more spin from Mr Cleeve. The adult standing and seating price is the same £17 and £19. Concessions £13 standing £15 seating at Kidderminster so £2 cheaper than Lynn. U/16 £4 standing £5 seating at Kidderminster, £5 and £10 at Lynn so more expensive. Kidderminster also offer a ticket for 16-21 year olds £11 standing £13 seating. No such thing at Lynn, if you're over 16 at Lynn you pay the adult rate. Admittedly if you pay on the day at the gate at Kidderminster you pay £3 more EXCEPT Junior tickets but for MR Cleeve to say Kidderminster's prices are above Lynn's is total balderdash. Let's not forget the Premier seating at Lynn, £22 for Adult's, concessions and children! Unbelievable, Less spin more truthful facts Mr Cleeve, 18

With Lynn away the potential to break the recent record league attendance v Swaffham must be on for Heacham.

I can name one NL club that have streamed their last three away games direct to their clubhouse for supporters to watch on various large screens with offers on food and drink.

I haven't bought the Lynn News for years, nothing like it was and expensive. I always pick up a copy of the YLP when in Lynn. I may have picked up my last free one on Friday.

Now on loan at Notts County till the end of 2022/3 season. Disaster of a debut on 12 January v Maidstone Utd in the FA Trophy. Conceded a penalty and a bad distribution led to a second Maidstone goal. Maidstone won on penalties.

A must win game on Saturday with Scarborough v Brackley up against each other.
A chance to pull back some points on title rivals, fail and the pressure is on. 26

B&G
I'm with you on what Barrie Pierpoint said regarding poor value with regard to season tickets. Didn't Mr Flannegan who was at the meeting report back and inform the supporter's what was actually said? My recollection was that the prices had already been fixed and this was Cleeve's doing. I said before the season started that pricing was going to be critical and this has been ignored again by Cleeve. As you said he conveniently fails to recognise Lynn were relegated and is thinking he's doing the fans a big favour. It's unbelievable, when I mentioned to him it's laughable that a child is charged £22 to sit in the so called Premier seating he gives an example you wouldn't expect a child travelling first class on an aeroplane to travel at a discount. If he actually sat in the Premier seating he would realise that the view is blocked by posts just like in the wings of the stand. Again as you said, prices need to be reduced by a meaningful amount not a pidly £2. He's put himself in an impossible position as any price decrease will impact those who purchased season tickets making them even worse value than they already are. The time to sort pricing was at the beginning of the season not into the season when he realises fans aren't going to be taken as mugs and vote with their feet resulting in pitiful attendances for a team that currently sit top of the NLN. Cleeve also fails to grasp that to charge £10 for a child to sit in the wings of the stand is beyond insane. Cleeve also asked me when was the last time I bought a season ticket. I informed him that I've never bought a season ticket at Lynn. I didn't have the heart to tell him that I actually bought one for Bromley for £97 which included having upto six U/11 season tickets absolutely free of charge and also entitles you to sit in the stand at no extra cost should you wish to. Admittedly this was a special offer after they won the FA Trophy where supporters had 97 hours to buy at that price. I haven't actually been to a game yet due to either being in Lynn or working, but for £97 i'm not going to out of pocket come the end of the season as I only have to attend 7 games to be in profit. As you know though Nigel, Lynn is my team but Cleeve offers nothing in the way of incentives for Lynn fans. On Saturday it's Non League Day, Bromley have reduced their prices for the game against Oldham, £15 Adults £10 Concessions down from £20 and £15 respectively. Has Cleeve ever done anything like this to show appreciation to the Lynn fans. Well he did drop the price for Bedford by £2 and the gate went up. Cleeve also said that fans are not bothered if they pay £17 or £20 admission as it's less than a cup of coffee at Costa! It's unbelievable what he says. Anyway, here's hoping for a Lynn win tonight, i think the prize money is needed, who knows Mr Cleeve might even buy everyone a coffe e at the Kettering tie if they progress. |
