A blessing in disguise, although some will be disappointed that Lynn won't reach the play offs, what would happen if they actually got promoted?  There would have to be some serious investment as the current squad would not be strong enough for the National League North/South.  The promising young players that will improve with age/experience would inevitably be left out in the cold.  It will take at least 2 years to make the step up.

9 cautions at present, another one and he'll be suspended for two games.

I think I could get my 25mm (1 inch) swimming badge in my bath Backie :-)

I thought all referee's admin was now done on the FA's Wholegame system.  I very much doubt that the ref didn't send in the report on time.

General Discussion / Non League Finals Day Wembley 22 May
« on: March 03, 2016, 11:40:02 AM »
Is anyone thinking of going?  FA Vase Final and FA Trophy Final being played on the same day.  1215 ko for the Vase and 1600 for the Trophy I believe.  Also exhibitions to see.  25, 10 concessions 1 children.

I'm sure I heard Claridge on Talksport a while back also mention that group bookings are also discounted.

Last year they were charging 25 just for the Vase, a step in the right direction.

General Discussion / Re: Attendances.

With neither Liverpool or Everton at home on Saturday (20 Feb) I'm sure Tranmere Rovers offered some incentive for fans of those teams to attend Tranmere v Cheltenham in the National League.  The result was a magnificent attendance of 12,418. This most be close or even a record for a non-league game.

Bromley who were promoted to The National League this season also have an incentive on offer.  Members of the Armed Forces, NHS and Emegency Services can attend games for 10 as opposed to the normal 15, also season ticket holders of Premier and Football League teams can also get in for 10.  The result has seen the gates more than double.

Would it not be cost effective for Lynn to offer the same with admission being reduced to say 6?  Perhaps it could be extended further to include Lynn Stars speedway season ticket holders with Linnets season ticket holders getting reduced admission to the speedway.

General Discussion / Quite a finale at Barrow.

If The Linnets supporters felt glum on Tuesday night against Merthyr spare a thought for Barrow fans today.  Barrow scored in the 87th minute to go 3-1 up, only to concede in the 90th, 90+2 and 90+5 to lose 3-4.
