What goes around comes around. Didn’t we do the self same thing to an opposition Club last season ? Frozen pitch that time
Alvechurch must be just down the road from Evesham, right? Anyone checked for a hosepipe?

Good post Mallard and one which I thought would have prompted some responses. Perhaps the lack of reply tells us all we need to know.
By my very rough calculations there are currently 101 places between first and reserve teams. This brings into question what is the function of the reserves within the KLTFC structure. Such a gap means that reserve players surely cannot step straight into the first team. The reserves no longer play at the Walks so presumably cannot be considered a revenue stream for the club.
If they have a future possibly this could be as part of a pathway for young players which has to be bridged by loans to the likes of Dereham, Lowestoft etc en route to (hopefully) National league football?
Not sure on the relegation rules from step 6 but if the reserves drop into Ang Comb level then surely it is game over (assuming that decision has not already been taken internally)?

Anyone whose journey to the Walks crosses the Tennyson Avenue level crossing will have to find an alternative route to the Walks next Saturday. https://www.lynnnews.co.uk/news/west-norfolk-rail-passenger-numbers-continue-to-rise-9097410/"And engineers working on the construction of new train sidings near Lynn’s station have announced that the Tennyson Avenue level crossing will be shut for two weekends next month. The closures will take place from midnight on Saturday, February 1 until 4am on Monday, February 3, and from the same times on the weekend of February 22 to 24."

Amazing where the team is. Credit to all. 12 months who would have dared even dream of this situation we find ourselves in.
As it’s Saturday evening and before Strictly starts I thought I would ask Admin. When was the last time Kings Lynn were top of a League deemed to be the 2nd tier of Non League Football ?
We briefly topped the Southern League in the days before Conference North / South under Tony Spearing. Ended up getting relegated!

1. Marriott. 2 Defty. 3 Gash. BUT.... We saw Adam and Jack in their prime, but Michael, maybe not. They also played at different levels - but they’re certainly the best 3 since Malcolm Lindsay....
I'll throw into the mix: Kevin Ready? Andy Hunt? Mark Paul? Jackie Gallagher?

Thanks for that Admin, great stats there. 1992/93 average gate of 301. The fans really didn't buy into the John Dollimore / John Musgrove project did they?

23rd September 1995 scorers Stanhope, Setchell, McNamara, Pascoe, Dolby
Stanhope, who's name would later alert an 'eagle eyed FA official' and result in us getting expelled from the competition on the eve of the 4th qualifying round for playing whilst suspended...

Presumably (having done no research whatsoever) we get one season's grace or its demotion once again?

Have just seen a few clips of today's Vase final, Cleethorpes well beaten by South Shields. Noticed that Cleethorpes manager is Marcus Newell. Pretty certain he played a few games for Lynn in the early 90s? Most of the squad came from the Grimsby area in those days.

Just been told that he managed you for a few years. What was he like ?
He is having a bit of a tough time here at the moment as the footie is poor and the results likewise.
I think he can turn it round and I like his football ethos.
Fond memories of his time here. Took charge when we were bottom of the Southern League Premier (pre Conf North / South days) and led us to the 'Great Escape'. Perhaps unfortunate in his one full season in charge to come up against Steve Evans' Boston United; although Mills did lead us to THAT Boxing Day win at their place. Left us early the next season following a budget cut and we were relegated within 18 months.

According to today's EDP Jack Friend scored his eighth goal in four games for Wisbech v Mildenhall in the Vase on Saturday. Michael Frew also turned out for Wisbech and Steve Spriggs for Mildenhall. Report also mentioned Luke Kennedy, name rings a bell, was he on loan to us at some point? From Peterborough?
