Key named on the bench for second game running today. Who is he please? Couldn't see any mention on the pen pictures page.

Taken by Nigel Clough?

Who was the first choice Keeper in those days?

Wasn't Benefer the Reserves Keeper?

Just had a listen to the Managers appraisal on last nights performance.  He knows there’s lots to do.  Didn’t realise the Wimbledon loaner had been sent packing back to his patent Club.  What a tool.

What's the story there?

At least 5 of last seasons squad have moved up a level.  Prior to that Taylor, Blake Tracey, Norman and Carey have all gone to League Clubs.  There  is a clear path.

Can add Ethan Coleman to that list; left us during second NL season to join Orient in the EFL, now at Gillingham

How many ex Lynn players have scored at Wembley?

Andy Hunt!
Dion Dublin
Chris Cook, although he was a 'future Linnet' at the time!

Luton are in the Premiership.

Joe Taylor converted his spot kick in the penalty shoot out.

Who was the last Lynn Player to be a Premiership player ?

Non-loanee?

Andy Hunt I'd guess?

Club really does need an off field visionary

It doesnt have to be the same old same old

Not sure we need a 'visionary', I would settle for a few years of steady proactive competence

A year long tilt at the title struggled to get people through the gates for a large chunk of the season, I dread to think what attendances a few years of steady proactive competence would attract!

Never mind pre-season friendlies, what about the music gigs / concerts that were planned to be held in the summer?

With Kettering leaving the NLN, every chance our Christmas fixtures next season will be with P'boro Sports while Boston play Scunny.

Could mean an early meeting with IC's new 'hybrid model' Pilgrims as early as August bank holiday?

Yep, that’s why you have to ask if the play offs are really fair, 24 points is the equivalent of 8 wins.  It’s County are in the same scenario as us, so if there is any justice both us and County will gain promotion through the play offs. The leagues should have a rethink and go back to the teams that got the most points over the season being promoted.

But is it usually only the side that just missed out who claim the play offs to be unfair? The flipside is that with a week of the season left all bar about 4 of the 24 teams still had something to play for. Contrast that with pre-play off days. Back in the old Southern League days, only the champions went up. Invariably 1 team (2 if you were lucky) would run away with it. Most other teams were left with nothing to play for once they were knocked out of the FA competitions. Some clubs chairmen would get enough points to be safe then slash the budget in January! Then there were a string of 'other' cups to get a bit more revenue in (League cup, East Anglian cup etc). At least the play offs keep the season interesting for a greater number of teams. And let's all be grateful there's no 'Super' Play Off this time  :scarf:

Never mind the attendance, where's the trophy going to start the day? Service Station on the A1 (M)?Bradford, but with a helicopter on standby and plans to land in the Walks? A replica trophy is being forged in time to cover both bases? We need to know!

Would be great to not be involved in the play offs, even with home advantage, I still have memories of Slough, Chippenham and Redditch.

Yes, and Maidenhead as well!

Once again, too many defenders for a game that needed a win.  People are waking up to that fact, but TW is too safety-first.  We have 5 defenders in most games, plus a gk, leaving only 5 players to get at the opponents.

Finally someone has noticed. Paul Jones is the problem. Rarely leaves his penalty area and never enters the opposition half. Just invites the opposition onto us. Start Zain Walker instead.
