General Discussion / Re: Joe's visit
« on: November 23, 2024, 12:12:13 PM »
I've heard the word community club mentioned at lot in the last few days. That sounds so good.
Hangers on ? Most of the hangers who are there wouldn't be a club Hello Kitty. I must be the biggest Hanger on as I've been there from the start, I'm still there because I love the football club that's the only reason. At the moment it's a god send for me and my health.
Hope I see a few of you today at the game come and say hello if you see me would like to put a post to a face 🤣

Hello Everyone and to our loyal supporters.

I still love reading the forum after all these years the only time I didn't was when me and Neil was managers.
I am not involved in the club in a big way anymore but still try and help when I can and it's not to stressful ha.
Just wanted to update you with what I see as only a supporter but who has a wife now working part time at the club and also when she isn't looking after me or being nanny McPhee to our granddaughter ha
The club is now getting regular bookings in the Blue and Gold (that's what it will always be called) even in the week we had the marine management organisations  in last night which was a new one  to me. We are regularly getting funeral wakes, birthdays and anniversaries book the club.
Since the manager has been here he is so keen to make the place look even better and this has happened in certain areas and the Chariman has spent a few quid the summer to make this happen. I know there are things that need improving but I know we have a some good people at the club behind the scenes trying there best. I am always happy to come on here or I'm always approachable at games for a chat, I actually love chatting to the supporters it's the least can do now and after my accident I still want to be useful. We have sent over 200 tickets to schools for the weekend so hopefully we can attract some new supporters.
Sorry to ramble on just wanted to give you some
Positive news ❤️
Up the Linnets

Hello Chaps
Hope you are all well
Great to see some of you on a Saturday. Bit of a long journey for me tomorrow so will be listening on the radio.
Think there is over 34 something on the bus the boss tells me (Julia)
Funny how times change and I don't see my wife much anymore as she is always at the club ha ha
I'm going for a 2-1 win to Lynn

I am still recovering from my episode in February and have been diagnosed with FND so really don't know how I am going to be each day. Still unable to walk but trying to be positive. Jules being at the club is great for me as I can be at the club when she is, even though I don't do anything it's just nice to be out of the house I need here care most of the time as I often have a fall or two. Adam and Sam have been great with us and said I can be involved as much as I want. Two really great lads.
Wishing us a great season
