General Discussion / Chesham Saturday
« on: September 06, 2016, 07:27:31 PM »
Do we have a full fit a squad for Saturday ?? When does Quiggs suspension start and finish ?
It would be great if can get a result at Chesham and then Biggleswade.
It has been clearly shown that we were down to bare bones on Saturday, but fortunately we got the cup
win, with the help of our youngsters.  We still need those 2 or 3 extra experienced players to give us
a strong enough squad for the winter.

Excellent win against a week Brigg Town. The patched up team did well, showing that we have good
youngsters coming through including young Setch ! However we need all those missing players back ASAP
so that we can mount a charge up the league.

Another 3 points lost. We dominated the 1st half, but clearly ran out of steam when Mills went off.
The score could have been 3 or 4 to our 1 goal. We dont have the spare players to give key player
a rest. I keep saying it - where are those new extra signings?

Calm down everyone. A great away win today with a weakened squad. But it's still very early in the season,
and we still need 3 players to cover suspensions & injuries. Kettering will be good test again on Monday.

General Discussion / Frome away Saturday and Kettering on Monday
« on: August 23, 2016, 06:04:14 PM »
Do we have a fit squad for the Frome game ?
If we can get a strong defence out for the next 2 games we may have a chance.
Kettering will be a tough test on Monday.
Any news of additions to our weak squad ? We certainly need another 2 good utility players.

It was evident against Redditch that we need a bigger and better squad.
With any injuries or suspensions, we need a decent player to step in.
More of the quality like McWilliams would be good.

A lot of people bring their own drink (flask of tea etc) and food. This has been the case for decades.
If we are not allowed to do this, there will be lot of unhappy ex supporters !!

Mettam is not the answer up front - poor ball control, and often isolated. The new lad on loan
Mc Williams is a great prospect. We could do with a couple more like him.

A vital win today against a very average Redditch. We still need a couple of quality players to boost up
a small squad. We were under a bit of presure in the 2nd half but last ditch clearances and a good save from Street saved us. We still need to improve or we will be in the bottom half. I reserve judgement until we
have played say 10 games.

There has been lots of good comment. But what ever we think let's give the boys tomorrow plenty
of support, and hope for that first win ! What will be will be. If we don't succeed with the present set up,
changes will naturally happen.

We are all desperate for Lynn to start winning games. With our support we should be doing a lot better.
Other clubs with smaller crowds are already 10 points more than us.
Are we happy to be at best a mid table team ?
Setch has done a fantastic job to get to our present level, but I am sure he knows that the
squad is not strong enough. Lets hope we start winning very soon,
or changes are on the cards.

I agree. Setch has done a great job to get us to the Southern League Premier,
but we need a more professional attitude, and a change at the top is required.

I agree with you. For Kings Lynn to make that extra push to get promotion,
we need a different approach. The present squad and manager are not good enough.
Our defence is under too much pressure, We don't create enough quality chances up front.
It's easy to see why our attendances struggle to get over 500.

Our present squad is not promotional material. At best -mid table.
The fact that Alex Street was player of the season 2 years running indicates
that our defence is under too much pressure.
The new lad Mcwilliams is a great addition, and hopefully more
QUALITY players to follow (who are actually fit) !

Clearly 2 home draws, and 2 bad away defeats suggests relegation form ?
As I have mentioned previously, with Kern Miller going, we badly needed cover
in defence, but failed to recruit quality defenders ! Also the long awaited winger
has also failed to materialised !  Some may suggest that Setch is not doing Enough?
I shall wait to see, but we need a miracle to turn our current form into a promotion push.
