From the club website: "Tomorrow evening's scheduled National League fixture at Altrincham has been postponed by the National League due to an ongoing COVID investigation at The Walks.
Following assistant manager Paul Bastock’s positive test on Christmas Day, full back Aaron Jones also provided a positive COVID test over the festive period. Aaron’s last contact with any of his team mates or club management was on December 22nd – the fixture away at Alfreton Town in the FA Trophy.
A procedural error took place within the club, which has now been rectified, in relation to the situation involving Aaron with the National League informing the club that they had taken the decision to postpone the game early this morning.
No other players or club management are having to isolate because of the situation and we expect to be back in action this weekend when we visit Hornchurch in the FA Trophy."

"Bedford Town FC can confirm we have withdrawn from this season's Buildbase FA Trophy. Since receiving news of a player testing positive for COVID-19 yesterday, the club have had the whole squad tested. Unfortunately, today we can confirm that several more players have tested positive. In addition to this, a member of the management has also received a positive result.
Unfortunately, this leaves us in an impossible position to field a side on Saturday for the re-arranged fixture at Alfreton Town. We have informed them and the FA of our decision, and would like to place on record our thanks to them for their understanding and assistance over the last few days.
The club understand how frustrating this must be for our supporters, having enjoyed much success on the road in the FA Trophy this season. However, as a club, we have agreed that the safety of our team, club and society as a whole must come first. Hence our decision to withdraw from the competition."

I thought the Haverhill ladies game was the needed ‘test’ before 1400 were going to be admitted. That was a game that transferred to The Walks after Bromley refused to come last Wednesday ( moved from Tuesday).
If it is only 800 and not the 1400 will SC be well within his rights to raise the admission cost ? After all the price of £22 was set on a gate of 1400.
Or maybe the Club could bang in an Academy game before Saturday.
Can only find attendances from three games yesterday: Weymouth, who said it was a test, 800 Sutton United 934 Torquay 975

"There will be a precautionary pitch inspection at 8am on Saturday morning ahead of King's Lynn Town's departure from Norfolk to Cheshire for a 3pm kick-off in The Vanarama National League.
Rain is forecast overnight but is expected to clear by 6am & there is little or no rain forecast until kick-off & at this stage we believe that the chances of the game going ahead are good."
