Just hope that after all the great effort these people have put into reviving the place those that have moaned n groaned in the past get behind it, patronise it and help make it a success.

I'm normally a "glass half full" type of bloke and no news is supposed to be good news but I'm finding the lack of news/communication from within the club slightly disturbing, I'm wondering if all is well?

Gris, why donít you just buy a season ticket? Cleeve has posted on Facebook saying a much increased uptake and he says it works out at only 80p per game more than last season.  Surely even you canít moan at this; can you?

Last season because of work I only made four home games and the play offs, made more away games than home games, working on this premise it would equate to £72.50 a game,an increase of £59.50 a game? :bankrupt:

Why is admission price such a concern for you if you struggle to attend games?

Regardless of how many games I attend I am still allowed an opinion on the entry price? :dontknow: :banghead; :banghead;
At no point did I say you couldnít!?!? Merely asked why itís such a focus issue for you?

From a personal point of view I felt there was no need for another price increase, especially as it was going to rise whether we got promoted or not? :bankrupt:
"No need for another price increase if we get promoted ???  I don't know the facts but I'd dare bet Norwich had an increase cos they got promoted, they certainly know how to increase prices for away supporters for Cat A games, last time they were in premiership ticket price was almost double than to go watch the corresponding fixture at the Etihad

But would you pay to attend a fundraising event ? Same result , just different way of contributing

I would suspect most fund raising events would be patronised mainly by current supporters of the club so why not cut out the middle man again and stick another quid on admission prices

General Discussion / Re: Reserves
« on: May 24, 2019, 01:44:51 PM »
I will apologise in advance, if I offend anyone.......it is unusual for me to go off on one, but some of this negativity is tedious.....Given grants are available for much of the work it would surely be senseless to spend the money on that. Without someone like SC fans would never get to experience this standard of football and excitement. Left to its own devices the club could probably manage Eastern Counties or a step higher at best..... so if it ever should come crashing down you would be back to that level anyway. Given the amount of time and money the Chairman has put in together with the great efforts from all the people he employs, I really do feel its time for people's fears and anxieties to be put aside while this journey is happening.....just enjoy the fact that Lynn may actually progress and play at a really good level.
It seems to me, some people would be happy with a no risk strategy, play at step 6 in front of 200or 300 and just stagnate for a life time.....enjoy the local derby with Yarmouth and Swaffham and coiff the odd jar at half time, while moaning about everything that could be better and doing damn all about it

That is the scenario for an unprogressive large village/small town team I M O and sadly that reflects the mindset of many in West Norfolk...too afraid to stick their heads above the parapet and get things done and always unsettled by change......not surprised it has taken the energy of a number from outside the area, along with some very good, positive and dedicated local people to get things moving........

Excellent post  :clap: :clap:

With the greatest respect to the reserve team players and coaching staff I personally don't see a lot of point to having a reserve team anymore, no "young uns" were deemed good enough by IC to even make the bench last season so I see even less chance for them now we are playing at a higher level.
Does make me question his statement of wanting to bring through and develop young home grown players or is it that they are just not good enough ?

Taking money at a bar is completely different to making money at a bar, just ask the ex landlords of the 18 pubs that are closing each week in the uk. I totally agree that a good bar adds to match day atmosphere but selling a hundred or so pints of beer on a Saturday afternoon will generate very little if any profit by time staff costs etc are taken into consideration. I just don't understand the infatuation by some people on here about beer. There's more PROFIT to be made in tea, coffee and food.  :cheers:
