1. Would the roof structure take the weight or be suitable to take the solar panels ?
2. Is it "our" roof to be fixing things too ?

As a way of saving/making money I believe it would be worthwhile enquiring,it would be an asset to the property? :dontknow:

Agree Gris, it's well worth asking/ enquiring, it does make me wonder why no other clubs/ stadiums (to my knowledge) haven't done this before, maybe an insurance or health n safety issue against it

Maybe the club should now look into getting solar panels installed, free electricity would I presume be a large bill out of the way,and as the club is not used 24/7 it would mean a substantial amount of power could be sold to the national grid? And how about istead of dumping all of the metal cans the club collects them and sell for scrap, not much money from there, but it is free money that is costing the club nothing,no outlay, also save some money on waste colection? I am sure that many people could come up with many other ideas? :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

P.S. Fans could contribute to the can collections by bringing their own to a game,a way of donating to the club without any cost? :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

Do Corona still give 10p back on returned bottles ?

Well what a season this has been.  Phew!!!
Started out with a new man at the helm, a few new players, the loss of a few favourites.  Pretty soon it became clear that all was not well and we had the wrong person in as first team manager.    Who will forget that low at home to Histon in the F A Cup.

All credit to Stephen Cleeve he soon realised his error and reacted PDQ and sacked Clark. Passed the baton on to Club Stalwarts Back and Fryatt who not only steadied the ship but went out and signed Marriott and Henderson ( 2 massive signings as it turned out). This was quickly followed by the real icing on the cake in the return of Ian Culverhouse. Master stroke by SC to tempt him back.

Now here we are just one step ( albeit a big un) away from National League Football. After last Saturdays game, are we good enough to go to Warrington and get the win? Too bloody right we are!!!

Whatever happens Saturday itís been a successful season, one I think the fans have enjoyed.  Sadly as with most teams and most seasons, some players will move on. Which players are a must keep for next season?  Rumour's so far suggest at least 3 departures including one high profile player.
Excellent positive summary Mallard  :comeon: :comeon:

Although I totally agree with people's thought on the bar being a great place to generate atmosphere etc and is something that is needed ,will it really generate much profit ? You've only got to look around towns and villages countrywide to see that pubs n clubs (that are able to open longer hours than a football club bar) are closing down and going out of business on a regular basis.

I would have thought that when Greg is there at a game he is there in a professional position, doing his job of work, maybe his employers frown upon him using his 'phone and time to report on what for them is opposition rather than buying their paper

Final was against Burton Albion in 1983, beat them 3-2 I believe.
Great away days in those times

Blimey , visiting Mosely that brings back memories, what an unfriendly bunch their fans were. I remember going there on a coach and some Herbert with a purple Mohican lobbed half a brick at coach as we driving off

Perhaps a bit late for this close season but how about a reasonably "big name" concert on the pitch

Charge the press to report on and publicise our games ??? Never heard anything so ridiculous , who 's gonna be charged next, stewards ? first aiders? ground staff?   If we don't get coverage in the press people moan then some want to charge them for the privilege of doing so. We've got to encourage these people, use them to promote the club and all the fantastic events that may come out of these upcoming discussions and meetings. :welcome: :scarf:

All we need for that to happen Stan is to have a half decent team with a nice blend of youth and experienced players, a decent manager who knows the game and has played at a high level, a nice playing surface to encourage good football for the fans to enjoy, a safe comfortable stadium with seating areas and cover from inclement weather, no other higher level football teams within 40 miles ....
