General Discussion / Re: New Manager
« on: February 23, 2017, 09:06:02 AM »
Well I didn't see this coming.
I was expecting Lee Stevenson to stand in.  Is this going to be a repeat off Lynn's past big name in and money drys up.
I hope not and I hope we turn it around.  With a big name will it bring more sponsorship and advertising  in. Will he want a assistant manager like Lee Stevenson who knows the players and how they work. I wonder how much publicity this will bring to the club lets strike while the iron is hot.

I remember the days off doing this.
The time and costs involved in doing this isn't cheap. To do commentary means you have to buy a very good microphone looking at 90 for something that gives u great quality.
The the costs off equipment and travel all adds up. For example the video camera cost 300 for a basic one but for great quality your looking at 1,000 one then memory cards then a computer ( this hammers your computer and burns it out a lot quicker. and then fuel or travel costs. Then the times it takes to edit and upload the video then the time to edit the commentary and so on isnt as simple as you think.
Example go to a home game for 2pm then get equipment set up then film the game and then go home find the best bits then put together so far thats 5hrs off  the day gone then all the other stuff your looking at a good 7hr day for 15 mins off highlights. thats just a home game. All for free the poor lad is doing a great service and hes doing it for the love off it. I believe his heart and soul are in it but please remember his funding it hes giving a whole day up for free so we get 15 mins off highlights.  :cup2: :cup2: :cup2:

To the res game sat and the pitch looked rough and it cut up badly during the game.  Surely if we invested the money into the pitch and try get it back to how it used to be.  It used to be a carpet and was one of the best pitches.  3g brings opportunities as well could hire it out through the week. Part of me says be traditional and other says let's go modern and open the venue up through the week.

Be great to have 3g and feel it would benefit local schools as we could do a lot with it and may be some great pr opportunities too.

I hope we stay where we are and don't get relegated and next season is a far better one. Long overdue a good cup run and a good season.  We need a player like George again wonder if we could ever tempt him back. Wasn't scared off scoring outside the box either. I wonder if we had a player like him and Jacek, Jordan, Ryan,  ward,  peds,  and so on we be in top 6 never know.  Jordan and Jacek seem to link up well also Ryan and ward with Warburton cd be the same too,  we have a strong squad if all players are fit just missing that 20  goal season player.  Big money needed to get one.  I wouldn't change much off the team either I try get Danny back too. Let's look at a good striker and maybe a league above too yes lots off money but with squad we have and potential off it doing it.

I predict a 7 nil thrashing glad I was wrong.
I felt if only them early shots on goal had gone in we be looking at a different story but like normal it didn't pan out for us.
Once a couple of subs where made we had options.
Much of the 1st half Sam Warburton was left on the wing unmarked and didn't get a ball to him. This season is over for me personally. This I hope is a wake up call for all and we learn from today and I hope for all we can turn things around.
Just unsure where we can go from here.

Tonights game
What can I say
Players played with passion.  Alex giving a pen well he had no choice he took one for the team and was unlucky.
For me I said with 20 mins remaining put Zielonka on but am not the manager and setch will have his own reasons for how he plays the team.  Officials where poor and the linesman well OMG wat a farce.
I was impressed on a whole how the lads played and try to pass the ball with width etc.  Unlucky result and seems to be our luck this season.  I hope to travel to Myther and hope see the lads bring 3 points home.

Am grateful that the highlights are back and nice to see team line up.  I never did this due to time limitations. The person who doing this may want to try the tower over the other side as well not moaning I personally prefered that side. But it's like anything we all have our own opinions and I am grateful to be able to see highlights job well done keep up the good work.

Woke up to some sad news today a dear friend had passed away last night.  One off the many things I will miss is Colins sense of humour and stories he would tell you.  He could make anyone at ease and comfortable within moments off meeting him. He was a highly respected person by many. Colin used to work at King's Lynn football club doing the the meet and greet off the vips and officials and directors.  Even today people still ask about him has he was such a lovely character.  R. I. P my dear friend gone but not forgotten.

The club employs St Johns who saved that chap a couple off years ago who collapsed when the goal keep helped us after getting a red card.  I also when attending away games carry 2 defibs and a medic kit.
