General Discussion / The General Election and Football
« on: December 03, 2019, 05:05:30 AM »
I imagine that B & G trust members and any other football supporters, frustrated at the lack of supporter involvement in their football clubs, will be voting Labour on December 12th.

General Discussion / Who was/is the better striker: Defty or Marriot ?
« on: November 09, 2019, 08:43:32 PM »
I was originally going to put Defty or Gash but Gash's goal-scoring not a patch on Defty.

Looks a really tough one this. I don't like predicting a Lynn defeat but it looks on the cards. A draw would be a magnificent result for Lynn, whereas a win...!!

General Discussion / Altrincham at Home
« on: October 31, 2019, 10:57:17 AM »
All matches in this league look tough and this one looks no different. Altrincham may only be in 18th place but they have taken some notable scalps this season having beaten Farsley Celtic, Alfreton and drawn with Guiseley in the league and knocked both Chester and Southport out of the cup.

I think it will be tight but Lynn to win 2-1.

General Discussion / Poster Identity
« on: October 15, 2019, 05:52:07 PM »
A while ago Grissles suggested that posters shouldn't hide behind made up names. I am concerned that some posters have more than one identity on this forum which they use to corner both sides of an argument and make it difficult for a fair debate to take place. So, I would like to know what posters think about this topic.
I think that Grissles is right and that by identifying who we are will make for a fairer and more civilised debating forum and that fair debate is in the best interests of the club as it will enable a broader range of views to be heard.

General Discussion / The B & G Bar
« on: September 02, 2019, 05:39:32 PM »
What a great place this has become. Great atmosphere before the match. If you're still going to the Napier pre-match then the mind boggles!

That's a great afternoon. I'm assuming the Lynn bar will be open for the Norwich match.
Are the club publicising this?
I fancy it! Might get the bus instead of driving.

Still on me hols. Fantastic win and performance by all accounts. Any match reports gratefully received.

General Discussion / Bevan Asher Interview with Chris Henderson
« on: May 29, 2019, 09:45:25 AM »

Bevan Asher has a lot of KL content on his youtube channel. I enjoyed this interview with Hendo.

General Discussion / Rumours
« on: May 14, 2019, 01:55:05 AM »
A Norwich fan told me that he heard that a certain Mr. Hoolahan was on his way to Lynn. I'm sure this is just the usual Chinese whispers.

Hi All.
Like many, I am desperate to get to Warrington. Not being a season ticket holder and not having any cash with me to pay for the coach after the match on Monday, I am left with the option of Friday, which will be impossible for me as I will be at work all day.
If anyone is prepared to get me a ticket ( I'll pay for it, of course) then I will provide FREE transport to Warrington.
Message me on the forum if this would work for you. I might be prepared to take more than one person, if the person getting the ticket is travelling with a mate or two.

General Discussion / Halesowen
« on: March 28, 2019, 04:38:21 PM »
On paper, this should be a home banker. Lynn are in form and Halesowen have the worst away record in the league, with only 1 win all season and that was against the team 1 place below them at the bottom of the table: Bedworth.
It will be interesting to see how Lynn accommodate the returning Jones and the, by all accounts, highly impressive Burrows. I'd be inclined to give Jarvo a rest and stick Jones in his place, leaving Burrows on the right.

General Discussion / Dear Mr Cleeve
« on: March 26, 2019, 08:34:15 PM »
If you wish the club to develop and push on up the league system you need to get the community behind you. At present you are not trusted to keep the ship afloat. This may or may not be an unfounded fear but, after what happened to the club before, you cannot blame fans if they fear it may happen again.
First and foremost, you need to work with the trust. They need to be kept informed and can communicate with the fans that they represent. If that balance sheet is not as bad as it looks then you need to explain why.
You will not take this club forward without the support of the people of King's Lynn and that support will only begin by working closely with the Trust.
A lack of openness is causing considerable suspicion, negativity and concern. If you want bigger attendances that you need to build trust.

General Discussion / Rushall away
« on: March 09, 2019, 07:29:52 AM »
Let's hope Lynn can keep the recent run going today. 3 straight wins with 9 goals for and only 1 against since the Rushden defeat, suggests that Culverhouse has regrouped them and fixed the problems. Much respect to any fans who are making the journey today: it's a bit too far for me.
