Just read the article Linnet and there's nothing in it about public gatherings being a greater risk than normal day to day interactions. Not sure what your point is really?

Can't agree with you there. Certainly not a deliberate dive he was shouldered over.
You are allowed to use a shoulder in football. If you look carefully, you'll notice that Henderson puts his foot against the defender.
I thought it was a pen originally but not anymore.

This will put the cat amongst the pigeons but just watched a YouTube vid by someone called Jack Beeton (not sure how to copy it) but it looks like the ref got the Henderson penalty decision right and it does look like Henderson guilty of simulation. I played it slow-mo.

The attendance was impressive, but Stan’s congratulations to those who “ignored the scaremongering” was badly misinformed, and unkind to those who didn’t go, either to protect themselves or to help stop the spread to others.  They didn’t fall for the scaremongering, as Stan rather insultingly put it.  Don’t forget Stan, we have all been warned that there are probably many people who have the virus but not yet the symptoms, so none of us know who to avoid.  Hard luck KL as it sounds like things didn’t go our way despite an improved performance......
Dilly. I'm just paraphrasing official guidance whereas you're paraphrasing those on here who think they know better. Just because you agree with the opinion of others Dilly doesn't make it well-informed!

Lynn created sufficient chances to have won but a cock up between Pedro and Ward, Marriott's loss of form, and some dubious refereeing went against Lynn. Guiseley are a decent side though.

The attendance was impressive under the circumstances. Well done to those supporters who ignored the scaremongering. The concerns over large gatherings are not because the risk of infections increases in such situations but because of the demands placed on public services.

Would definitely wish to see Fox playing. Henderson to start for me. Power on the bench.

page 3 on this thread post by Mallard
So you have been deterred from going today because of information placed on here by Mallard. I wonder how many others are not going to attend today because of information shared on here by Mallard who has whipped up a frenzy that is at odds with government advice. No doubt his motives were honourable.

Griss. I've only missed about 3 home games this season. Are you going today?

I have always supported the Chairman but in this instance I think there is more at stake than income, considering the fact that opposition have been in contact with a contaminated club. I am not advising you to stay at home Monday , I will be going to work too until advised otherwise. My point is why put people at risk today when it can be avoided. I must admit initially I thought whats all the fuss its just the flu, but hey who knows now. Also if we play today and lose that's to York's advantage another game in hand gone!
The opposition have been in contact with a contaminated club. Where did you read that?

Stan,Perhaps you should stay on a bit longer and get educated!  :banghead;  :banghead;  :banghead;
Best not to make personal comments Graham. Would you advise me to stay away from school on Monday?

i'm amazed that some on here would  put the health issues to one side for an afternoons entertainment rather than look at the long term effects. Surely putting the players of a team we have all season  into contact with a team that played a "contaminated" team mid week is a misguided decision.
Cancel the season now, take the league standings as they are with no play offs ie promotion and relegation, and start again in July.
Following government guidance, I will be at the match today and at school on Monday morning.

Stan’s response to my last post has baffled me further.  Stan, the first half of your response looked rational, if debatable on your assessment of other poster’s motivations.  So, up to half-way I understood you, albeit with areas of disagreement.  However, your second paragraph is the point at which my gob became smacked, because you appear to be asking me, (“ask yourself”), and by inference, others, to put health issues below the well-being of the club.  In view of the seriousness of the global, (including “Norfolk”), situation, that aspect of your post appears to me to be ludicrous.  Nothing personal here, but surely priorities should be prioritised ?!
That's not what I said Dilly. You have misunderstood my point which is that some like to fan the flames of negativity: to amplify them; give them oxygen: this is not the first time, I can assure you. Will you be at the match today?

I read that compensation for lost revenue will be provided by the government, so it is premature to start anticipating the club's demise. Government bailed out the bankers after all.

Absolute disgrace that the league "have decided" to fulfil these fixtures, obviously have greater medical knowledge than the Government and Premier league. As with rearranging fixtures they have again shown total disregard for the players, their well being , and also that of  club officials and staff alike........ Dinosaurs. Currently NO cases in Norfolk decisions like this will change that!
The government haven't advised against attending mass gatherings Graham, at least not the last time I looked, and by your reasoning are also therefore an absolute disgrace!
