Our biggest game of the season coincided with our worst performance of the season - we didn't turn up.
However, Kidderminster were very good.
As for the Play Offs....... I have no problem with them - at the start of the season, all teams know the situation, which therefore makes it fair.
We had the chance to gain automatic promotion (as does every club at the start of the season) but unfortunately couldn't quite achieve it.
It's all "if's, buts and maybes" but a draw at home in the Fylde match instead of a one goal defeat, would have seen us champions

One further thing - The away support today.
Have to give them credit, for the numbers that travelled and also their vocal support - yes they had plenty to cheer about in the second half, but even in the first half they were a noisy bunch.
Impressive

Tin hat time. Should SC give the job to Hughes for next season or look for a more seasoned campaigner to take it on ?
Mark has done a decent job but today in the biggest game of the season he has well and truly had his pants pulled down. Mark Hughes comes across as a nice guy but nice guys win sod all.
C’mon let’s have your thoughts.
For me, a new manager - possibly keep Mark Hughes & Hugo as the coaching staff if they want it?? I don't have any names I would throw into the hat but just feel we nned a proven manager to push us on next season otherwise I fear next season could be a slog depending on who stays, who goes and whether we remain full or part time (which could influence players staying/joining) How much, financially a new proven manager would cost is another thing

I know there's a real feel good factor at this precise moment in time, but just seen on another forum the debt we have accrued.
" Kings Lynn lost £151k in 21/22 and have debts of just under £1m. It's holding company also has debts of £568k"
Apparantly the figures were obtained from Companies House website - I challenged the author of the thread but got the usual insults that football "fans" give out when questioned
But, not good reading (if true)
Should we be worried??

We dominated the game and were worth winners. Getting the goal on the stroke of half time was important, as Kettering were happy to defend and frustrate, but they had to be more open in the second half. Omotayo’s first goal was a bullet header from a corner and that gave us a nice buffer. Cosgrave was fouled in the box and won a penalty, which Theo was desperate to take, but Omotayo stepped up and confidently dispatched it. Game was now over as a contest, before we made it 4, before Kettering getting a goal. Was nice that Mark Hughes subbed Theo, as that gave the Lynn fans the opportunity to applaud him in what couldn’t have been an easy week for him. Mark and Hugo walked around after the final whistle to applaud the fans, which was reciprocated. Mark and Hugo shared an embrace as they were leaving the pitch, there was a sense of real togetherness from them, players and fans after the game. Omotayo deservedly got man of the match, not just for his 2 goals, he defended our box well, as he always does and won his fair share of headers. Dixon-Hodge looks assured and a good find, distributes the ball well, notably with some long throws. Oxlaide-Chambalain had a good game and is cementing a regular starting place. Barrett seams to have lost his way of late, but did assist for our opener. Overall, a great win, which will set the team up nicely for Alfreton, With Chester dropping 2 points, second place is looking good, but if we were to win our remaking 4 games and Fylde were to drop 5 points from their remaining 5, it would them come down to goal difference. Hopefully, Kidderminster can do us a big favour on Monday.
Good analysis that. I have to say, regarding Theo - I've been very critical of him over the last couple of months and while he didn't set the world on fire today, I thought he had a half decent game today. Can't have been easy for him, and was good to see how happy he looked as the teams came off the pitch and went down the tunnel - was also good that the fans chanted his name to give him a lift too. Thats a couple of defeats for Fylde in recent weeks - could they be having a wobble now we are in squeaky bum time??

Just watched the interview - all the same bull**** he came out with when he was our manager
I'd love Tommy to get relegated

Must be a difficult time for Theo, but while he is a Linnet, we must all support him.
It's a simple equasion - if he plays well, the fans will support him Even Theo himself must know his recent performances haven't been good

What's Simon Clark up to these days........ As for IC coming back - the highs under IC and Bastock were seriously great times, but we have to remember it went sour.......twice. Personally I'd like Hugo & Hughes to see it out until the end of the season and then make the correct appointment, rather than rush into anything

I don't think things have been right for a few weeks now - whether Tommy was beginning to feel the pressure as "squeaky bum time" approaches.
Personally, I had a hunch he may have walked at the end of the season anyway.
That said, the timing of this is poor - hopefully it galvanises the squad and doesn't de-rail potential promotion.
I'm curious as to where he is going and hope Lynn receives some sort of financial reimbursment / compensation from the club who has "poached" Tommy
But, as in all walks of life, every cloud has a silver lining and if it means his ridiculously poor 'footballer' of a son doesn't play one more minute in a Lynn shirt, then it isn't all bad!!

Well that was utter s**t Blame refs , pitch .. how about today we blame the manager and players absolutely clueless at Times resorting to hoof ball chasing the game TW decides to take off ponch and cosgrave and replace our front line with no pace or urgency, should off got his boy off at HT and got stephens on sooner , TW seems he’s losing the plot all this chasing refs has lost its appeal get on with getting behind the players not chasing officials , our bubbles burst and behind the scenes something isn’t right .. be lucky to be top 3 for the playoffs
Something isn't right you say? That was clear by the exchange of words by two individuals in the second half who should know better! I heard a rumour just before kick off that there had been a massive row between the media guy and the Chairman, so then to hear what loads must have heard just beggars belief! Who was in charge of the Club when the only two owners were away on their jolly?
I couldn't make today, but intrigued who the "two individuals in the second half who should know better" are?? Also, what impact would an argument between the media guy and SC have on the days result?? Not disputing anything you say Joey B, just curious on what has happened and any impact

I've now purchased mine in the East Stand - it was £14, whereas the West stand was £16
So, I'm guessing the West Stand is seating??

When they go on general sale on Monday morning, can they be purchased online??
Apologies if this is a daft question, but the website doesn't stipulate

Whilst my reply is by no means intended to be sexist, it will appear that it is (and it really isn't!!).
But.....
Without knowing what was allegedly said, officials get abuse week in, week out at The Walks
Not saying that is acceptable, because it isn't
My point is, the 'linesperson' needs to realise that wherever they officiate, they will get a level of 'abuse'
I doubt the things allegedly said at Lynn, will be any better/worse than any other ground in the country so to be fined for it, in my humble opinion, is harsh
