Important that the team regard it as a tough fixture. I got the impression in the first half on Saturday that some regarded it as an easy game. I know there has been debate about weakened teams and certainly  a Lynn side without Clunan and Jarvis playing can be regarded as being weakened. Hopefully they are fit and ready to play soon.
Nantwich have already knocked Telford out of the cup and seem to like to score 3 goals at home!
Another interesting place to visit; Tudor and Georgian architecture; a historic town like Lynn. Ground within walking distance of the station.
It can be said that the team worth its salt will be the winner.
Hopefully the dream of that first round tie will be the motivation to achieve. Has the potential to be a cracking game! Next two weeks Norfolk v Cheshire!

Should be a good attendance next week. Bazza on Twitter has issued a rallying call including the idea of bringing your dog. Is this a pooch for a pound initiative. Certainly with dogged performances Lynn win a lot!

Nice day out in Leek. Interesting market town
Good ground.Admission six pounds; programme two including 50p voucher for refreshments so tea fifty pence! Very even first half. Game changed with Carey's great shot / goalkeeper fumble. Lynn bossed the second half; quicker passing and better possession in the second half ( think IC might have had words at half time ) Leek decent team and deserve step 3 football next season. Looking forward to the draw and hope its not York away!
Boston United or Peterborough Sports home would be good.

I thought I would start a new topic
.I don't know if anyone else agrees with me but I think the "York" one has become slightly boring/ repetitive. Anyhow, what predictions for Saturday.
Every year there are surprise results. I think Lynn are in for a tough game.

Back in B and B following game.
Good day out in York; visit to railway museum and good walk to and from ground
Enjoyable game ;  commitment from both teams. Shame we had to wait until 2.15pm before being let in the ground. Lynn had plenty of possession and York defended well and were pretty ruthless in taking their chances.Impressed with Nathan Fox and Ross Barrows second half.
Onwards to Leek !

Safe journey everyone. Looking forward to the game. In comfortable bed and breakfast 8 miles
east of York. Wet journey across the Lincolnshire Wolds and Humber Bridge today. Will drive to park and ride in morning. No doubt will see Mallard and others in Railway Museum !!

General Discussion / Re: FA Cup Replay v Alfreton Tuesday Evening

An excellent evening's entertainment. Firstly, well done to everyone involved in contributing to and producing a fantastic programme. Must have been a busy Sunday writing the articles and getting the printing done for Tuesday evening.  After some good reading we were treated to a hardworking performance by the team and now we can look forward to visiting York and Leek. The Staffordshire club are certainly looking forward to welcoming us  and already have a poster for the game on their twitter feed!
p.s. for those of us interested in heritage railways as well as football ( e.g. Linnet 1947) the Churnet Valley railway is quite close to Leek!

I would have been disappointed if I had gone today and seen a weakened team fielded by either side. I think Ian and the boys want to win every game and play with pride and passion. I have not been disappointed so far this season . I pay my admission enjoy ALL games and wouldnt have the audacity to tell Ian how he should select his teams.

Nice day out in Alfreton. Friendly town. Good ground and pitch. Draw a fair result with Alfreton's missed penalty and Adam hitting the post near the wnd. Lots of commitment from both sets of players. Looking forward to Tuesday and then the trip to York. Come on you Linnets!

So the excitement of the FA cup looming. We have already met Alfreton once this season and hopefully the opposition will manage to stay on their feet this time!! and no Oscars awarded for play acting. We need to field our strongest team and as long as we deal with the long hoofed ball we should be fine. Play our passing game and keep our temperament!
The magic of the FA Cup e.g. Ronnie Radford's Hereford goal against Newcastle; Brighton beating Wisbech 10-1 in the sixties ( I was there!).
Next after the FA Cup a weekend in York. Steam railways, chocolate , historical buildings and a decent performance from Lynn.
Exciting Days!
p.s. there is a steam railway just down the road from Alfreton ( Midland railway centre at Butterley)

Must be a lot of money in spa water. Am I right in thinking there is a spring in Reffley Woods?
