General Discussion / Premier League £125,000.000 Donations
« on: April 10, 2020, 01:57:38 PM »
I have read in several places that £2,000.000 has been allocated to the National League side and that King's Lynn Town FC will be receiving £13,363. This led me to wanting to know how much the clubs playing in the Championship and EFL will receive and apparently it is believed such monies are usually split 80 per cent to the Championship, 12 per cent to League One and 8 per cent to League Two. If this is true it equates to £98,000.000 for Championship clubs (£4.100.000) each, £14,760,000 for League One clubs (£615,000) each and for League Two sides £9,840.000 (£410.000) each.

In my opinion this is not a fair split for EFL teams, what do you think?

General Discussion / York City

Reported in Yorkshire Post newspaper today -

York City have “closed the club for the foreseeable future,” putting its players and staff on furlough indefinitely because of the coronavirus outbreak. As a result, the club have closed their offices and are no longer operational.

Is this the start of things to come.

The Statement came from the FA not National League.

The statement reads Below National League level. it goes on to say  However, the National League, National League North and South, WSL and Women's Championship will continue towards a conclusion "as quickly as possible".

Very interesting unbiased report but following comments not so. Questions why a Premier League side being allowed to loan out a 21 year old to level 6 side. As I have said, interesting. :oldman"

So sad. He was without doubt the greatest individual to ever grace our club, on and off the pitch. In the past it was stated that the “Hospital End” was going to be renamed “The Mick Wright End”; but nothing has been erected stating it and not many people are aware of this. In my opinion the main stand should be renamed in his honour and would follow other football stadiums worldwide in honouring a great footballer, who has contributed so much. The club just has to do something.

General Discussion / Re: The Pitch

Honestly, how can anyone complain about the pitch, it has never ever been in such good condition. IC has said the pitch is boggy and it is affecting the style of football he wants to play but doesn’t blame you.  Please don’t lose heart, SC has said you are one of his best appointments and no doubt you have his full support, and I suspect 99% of the club’s supporters. Speaking of supporters I am still amazed and disappointed that the Pitch Sponsorship has not yet sold out. To think you only had to sell 200 at the start of the season and only just over half have been sold is a disgrace.  Good luck in all your efforts.

General Discussion / Lynn FC Pitch Square Sponsorship
« on: November 12, 2019, 04:43:28 PM »
Prior to the start of this season a sponsorship scheme was launched to help the Groundsman to maintain and improve the playing surface.

Despite all the admiration and appreciation about the appearance of the pitch by most people, I am somewhat dismayed that only about half of the squares have been sold so far.  All money raised will go to the Groundsman and I am now asking for those supporters who haven’t yet purchased a (some) squares to do so now. The cost is £10 each square and can be purchased in the Club Cafe.

I am in no way associated to the club, only as a Season Ticket holder and this has been posted on my own behalf.
