Canít believe Ryanís announcement was as short as that. Heís been outstanding for the club for a number of years. And up until his injury was a first name on the teamsheet

General Discussion / Venue cancellation
« on: May 08, 2020, 10:59:35 AM »
What are everyoneís views on something I saw on Facebook a day or two ago.

So I was going to have a 40th birthday party at King's Lynn Town Football Club but it was obviously cancelled due to government advice. I asked for a refund and was refused,  but offered to rebook in 12 months. I declined as Iím not working at the moment and the money is more important than a party. After Stephen Cleeve the owner acknowledged there was no terms and conditions they still refused a refund. After many emails back and forth and even pointing out that accoarding to the CMA Iím entitled to a full refund, Iím now being ignored, this maybe because theyíre not there but there was no out of office automated email.
Iím not one to name a shame but it is unprofessional and a blatant flouting of consumer rights.
I have attached a link for the advice from the CMA on the gov.uk website for those of you affected in a similar way.
I also now feel like I have no alternative to report them to the CMA

Would it be worth advertising now for the Boxing Day game at home to Boston? A lot of people may be making plans already for the festive period. I know itís a month away but maybe lowering the price of admission as a one off? If itís seen as a Christmas gift/ gesture then it may draw in people who may not have considered it before? Only an idea but something like that could give an idea of a community club

If no one likes the away kit, at least the bugs and midges will

I wonder what that means for the scholarship too. The kids have been told they will be training and playing games on the walks pitch. I guess they will be moved elsewhere too?

Got to wonder if the reserve team is wanted. Obviously makes sense as far as saving the pitch. But how many players will want to stick around, or even be able to travel to home games as I believe last season there were a lot of young players, probably unable to drive. We want the best chances of doing well at step 2, but have got to feel for the young-uns
