Best thing about todays loss is that the bottom 7 ALL lost so no ground lost.

Has there been an announcement from the club confirming who is in temporary charge? Maybe i missed it? I read somewhere that Coulsen and Cross might be??

Nothing on the club website since the departure of Hughes was confirmed along with a preview of the Warrington game. Perhaps age is catching up with me or i am living in a time warp?
Coulson and Cross. Temp allegedly. Perhaps they will be the Double C, doubt that will be allowed though. Sounds to much like Double G. LOL!
Heard today that Jodi has left KL Ladies. She was a massive part of that and others things going on in the community.

Corn Exchange bums on seat (indoors) likely £30.Would'nt pay that to stand outside in possibly crap weather on grass or possibly mud!
All my events at the Corn Exchange were pay up FRONT. That was before Covid.

GC think SC is never afraid to take a punt.  Look at his efforts to take control of Wrexham.  Must have been a close run thing  for their supporters group.   SC on one side and Ryan Reynolds on the other.

Bet that caused a few sleepless nights.   I guess time will tell.... did they make the right choice ?

Little rumour is opening night for the concerts is a David Bowie tribute act.... Couple of lads from Oldham, Carpenter’s. Go by the name of Ziggy Sawdust.  ( Fools n Horses fans will get it)
So if its to be a tribute he would still have to pay up front and i would think £15, at most for a well known tribute £20.That will make a huge difference to the cost and take.
Much better though than the £162 to see Diana Ross at the Royal Albert Hall in October, and its nearly sold out!

Of course any fund raiser that has potential
For bigger turnover comes with big risk but big reward.   We know SC likes to think big.  Only have to look at his pricing structures on anything he does at the Club.

It’s having that confidence to back his own judgement the first time.  Will he... won’t he ?  He mothballed it this year so next year should tell all.   I see Carrow Road has already announced half a Take That with Oli Murs.  Somewhere slightly down market from that for The Walks..... who do you guys fancy ?
When you need to pay up front there is no chance he will think big.
To stand any chance to make 100000K profit you need to sell 3000 standing tickets at £50 minimum. 1000 seating at £75 As long as Richard and others are back at the club by then to clean the seats) There will be huge security costs, limited space for food/drink sales. Horrendous parking issues.
He hasn't got the guts to do it unless buy now, pay later. That will never happen with top acts!

They also have a very capable commercial side and I think they had sponsors booked for most, if not all, fixtures for the season before the season started.  That isn't something that happens overnight and takes years of building relationships with all sizes businesses

Tony, i can recall a time when we also enjoyed a similar level of sponsorship support, which i am sure Gordon can confirm!

Please don't go round in circles with this again.......we need new initiatives, not more lamenting on what was there in the past and is now lost.

Not going round in circles, this LIAR is just stating the truth. Fully booked in the past seldom booked recently and beyond. TO EXPENSIVE by a country mile subsequently few takers and by the soiund of it those that do a deal ITS CASH.
My words to SC on the trip to Joma at Harlow
Stephen you think you have bought Chelsea. You haven't even bought anything like the Chelsea of NON LEAGUE.

Just like the old days AKA Brian Nelson to name one chasing KLFC matcxh sponsors. 100% before a ball kicked and 1 of them (R.I.P) sponsored every cup game whether it 1.2.3. etc.

Afraid Gordon ? Surely not.  Would The GC be afraid ? She never pulls any punches
The LIAR (GC) is never afraid to tell the truth.
Unless someone seriously takes to social media/programme/podcast/YLP/Lynn News/EDP and Fully apologises to GC, Double G Clothing and KL Elite for his disgraceful comments it is definitely see you in court.
Changed solicitors, ( no reason he can take the P out of this ones name).

Serves him right for being Billy no mates and NOT listening to the free advice on offer.

In fairness, I think he did listen to a couple, but I think they were picked because they have the ability to say yes.
B&G thanks for being brave and posting that. I wanted to but was afraid. LOL!

Big events are a mental distraction, lots of effort and the rewards can be good, but not guaranteed.

Smaller, regular events where the bar gets the takings is where the win is.

Quiz nights, horse racing nights,  music events, the odd band,  all bring regular income.

Anything that benefits the club should be a free 'hire'

Private events, they should get the hire charges,  weddings, business functions etc should all pay.

But fundraisers for the club, regardless of who puts the event on, should all be free hire.

Silly not to really.
Kevin please stop posting the truth. You will get slaughtered for it!
How about becoming commercial manager, no fee of course! LOL!

It's country music what do you expect🫢
Rock/soul/ dance music always a chance👍
I'm sure a walks music event would be winner.....
Nothing to do with country music! Whats the difference with SCs headbanging crap?

Poor judgment certainly costs.  All these missed opportunities and poor appointment that all revert back to £‘S. Would go some way to pay off the debt SC has lumbered the Club with.

Expensive hobby, some might say
Serves him right for being Billy no mates and NOT listening to the free advice on offer. Thought he new everything including telling ME how long it takes Chelsea to print a shirt in their clubshop.
Buster listened. No debt with Buster.

I would hope that the 3 wages saved, plus any transfer fees would fund a good goalscorer at this level

You'd like to think so, but that would depend on what The Chairman's main agenda is at this moment in time.
Has there ever been an honest agenda. Multi sponsors on the table what a joke! Only thing that ever went on that table was his caviar!

SC took the club higher than it has ever been, and frequently out of his own pocket.  The attendances haven’t been anywhere near as good as he probably expected, and not enough to finance a team enough to hold their own in the very top of non-league football.  The managers have all been too defensive in selection, imho.  I fear that we’re not set up financially even for the current level, and I hope the Chairman maintains his interest and some of his ambition, or the Southern League may be our future…
Where we belong except when we punch over our weight throwing good money after bad.
