Thats a great gesture NWNL to donate to the 8.56. In less than 12 months the charity has come a massive way in helping various people with their ongoing issues.

How many Heacham boys are in this Heacham village team ?
That's it try and take the shine of an amazing achievement.
I present you with the STUPID QUESTION OF THE WEEK AWARD!
Now to redeem yourself name 1 team that has a squad of minimum 20 players that live in the village or town of their chosen team.

So little old Heacham didn't sit on their haunches and fold they moved on, not like other teams in that vicinity Old Hunstanton, Hunstanton, Sedgeford, Thornham etc etc who did obviously not have enough village players so they folded!
Back in the late 70's i lived in Terrington St Clement and signed for Wereham who did not have enough home grown players to survive. Also at that time Hunstanton had several of my Speedway FC sunday league players making up their team on a saturday.
Heacham Social Club FC folded in the middle of this season because of lack of players available.
Can anyone name me one single team that is made up entirely of persons from that particular village?
7 years ago Heacham FC advertised for a manager and David Griggs was appointed. 7 successive promotions on and look where they are now FLYING rather than FOLDED.
Look at cricket locally, exactly the same argument! Basketball the same etc etc.
Time to move on.

So its nothing new, its about survival

Don't think it was a dig aimed at taking the shine off of the tremendous season Gordon, just a general question,as years ago most village teams were made up from the village? :dontknow:

Wroxham getting runners up great achievement. Imagine how comfortably they would have won the League if Joe Taylor had stayed with them a little longer ?

Think how comfortable WE could have possibly been, if we had called him back from Wroxham!

Not doing so, when we were crying out for a goal scorer, has to go down as one of the strangest decisions of the season.
But they did bring him back after reading thgis forum and actually played him for 20 minutes of one game. Then Posh came along!

Obviously the same SP song sang by some of the same group at Notts County. It was absolutely embarrasing and those responsible need to grow up and have a long look at themselves.
In todays or even previous years society there is no place for it and i certainly cannot recall anything like the same being sung over many years of travelling the Uk following the Linnets, ever hearing opposition supporters singing it.
Come on Lynn supporters, you are better than that, your support week in and week out cannot be denied but there are far better songs and words that can be sung and get a far better response.
So if anything should die and be put to rest then start with that!

Whatís to discuss Gris ?  There either is one or isnít one.  Surely if there was one you would have seen it advertised by the Club, after all the games in only a little over 48 hours away
As said Griss, if it hadn't been announced weeks ago then you should realise there is not going to be one. With 48 hours to go there is no chance. Why have you not tried to fill a Supporters Club minibus? Do you not want to give supporters a chance of going or do you not fancy being away from home umpteen hours, responsible for the minibus, the passengers etc and late in the day or very early the next day return it?
Even in previous times if there was not enough support for a coach then we at least took one official minibus, moreso 2. Obviously at that time i was happy to drive 1 of the minibuses and Jack Deftys' dad Trevor used to drive the other when we took 2.
There were plenty of people though that would not travel official as no alcohol was allowed, which still is the law not something that i personally introduced.

I wonder which of the junior teams coaches was offered to go outside and sort the matter out at a very recent meeting.
Didn't realise that possible violent conduct was on the CV.

I wonder what would happen in the sleepy village of Buxton LLamas if there was to be be a loud musical event planned next to the Lord of the Manors home. I would imagine the poo would hit the fan!
As for todays 2 pages of editorial about the application for the Football Club very interesting that SC is thinking of housing Festival Too events in the future without actually discussing the possibility with the FESTIVAL TOO committee.
0-1 down at the moment.

I hope you are right Mallard but consolidation first then see where we are at during the season.
I am not aware of any tie up with KLTFC now and i don't suppose the friendly match, part of use of the ground for training, will go ahead now.
Would of been a nice thank you gesture but i am not holding my breath.

Have they had the nod from the Thurlow Nunn on ground grading Gordon ?  Itís good they have the local support coming to watch.   Though people always turn out to watch a winning team and thatís one thing for certain, Heacham are a winning team.
All is good so far with the required work that was needed to complete by the 31st of March. After 10+ months the planning permission has been granted for the floodlights that need to be in place by the end of September. I ordered the new dugouts 2 weeks ago but they are not due in the country until early May.
With such a varied band of volunteers and committee everyone is doing their bit to be ready for the next step forward.
As for following a winning team, this is a CLUB not just 1 team. Everyone from the youngest Minors teams through the Minors set up, The Ability team and at the moment the Reserves and the 1st team are all part of this amazing achievement.

Great achievement by Heacham to win promotion to the Thurlow Nunn Div One North.   Can see no reason why they wonít be looking for yet another promotion this time next year.   Norfolk teams always seem to do well at Step 6, for example the top two teams in there this year are Harleston and Sheringham.  I think Downham sit 3rd.

Thurlow Nunn Prem will be the big testing ground for them when they reach that level.

What a great success story.  Iím sure Chilly and his partner helped the Club gain this excellent Promotion
It is not just about myself and partner Graham, this is about the Heacham family.  The players, managers and coaches, the committee, the amazing band of volunteers and of course the supporters who brave the open parks, home and away (usually outnumbering the opposition support on awaydays).
Yes Double G do their little bit but this is an achievement by lots of dedication week in and week out and obviously we are already working flat out on what needs doing ready for season 2022/23.

GC as a ballpark figure what was that worth to the Club per season ?
Not going to quote figures but in those days it was a huge amount of money. It would also be today.
As for todays EDP write up re sponsorship for 22/23, again no figures are mentioned but i would hazard a guess that the words
WHILE I HAVE BEEN OWNER OF KLTFC, have been purposely missed from the editorial.
