Great achievement by Heacham to win promotion to the Thurlow Nunn Div One North. Can see no reason why they won’t be looking for yet another promotion this time next year. Norfolk teams always seem to do well at Step 6, for example the top two teams in there this year are Harleston and Sheringham. I think Downham sit 3rd.
Thurlow Nunn Prem will be the big testing ground for them when they reach that level.
What a great success story. I’m sure Chilly and his partner helped the Club gain this excellent Promotion
It is not just about myself and partner Graham, this is about the Heacham family. The players, managers and coaches, the committee, the amazing band of volunteers and of course the supporters who brave the open parks, home and away (usually outnumbering the opposition support on awaydays). Yes Double G do their little bit but this is an achievement by lots of dedication week in and week out and obviously we are already working flat out on what needs doing ready for season 2022/23.

GC as a ballpark figure what was that worth to the Club per season ?
Not going to quote figures but in those days it was a huge amount of money. It would also be today. As for todays EDP write up re sponsorship for 22/23, again no figures are mentioned but i would hazard a guess that the words WHILE I HAVE BEEN OWNER OF KLTFC, have been purposely missed from the editorial.

I seem to recall reading/hearing that Heacham have a ‘Romford Pele’ evening organised which was sold out very quickly. Surely if a club the size of that can ( no disrespect) do it then KL should be able to sell out a few times over.
Yes you are spot on there Mallard. Totally sold out without advertising it. 140 guests at £50 a head includes 2 course meal at Heacham Manor Golf Club. Auction and raffle etc etc. Ray Parlour and a comedian also. This Heacham night will be just like the ones we had every season for many years at KLFC. But then we had a commercial manager worth his weight in gold, a management committee supporting the board and most of all an all singing all dancing supporters club running the clubshop with new stock lines available every game, away travel, bonus ball ,100 club draw EVERY home game, Xmas supporters lunches, various functions regularly in the Blue and Gold, End of season presentations to name a few. What have we got now, greenhouse clubshop with a lack of stock, no away travel organised by the club, Supporters club, how many members? Functions, ha ha. What is planned. Big fat zero! Sad times and i can only see it going backwards because nobody has the oomph to try and move it forward and nobody wants to speculate to accumulate. Its all take take take. Where is the old give and take.

I know exactly where the cricket ground is Gordon so what reason did you call the City ground the Cricket ground and don’t insult me by saying Iam not Forest Fan
So if you are a Forest Fan you would know that Forest are at LUTON on Good Friday with a lunchtime kick off. Therefore i am going to the pub at Trent Bridge cricket ground to have lunch and watch the Forest game then i will walk past the world famous City Ground, cross the Trent and go to meadow lane for the Notts County game. At no point did i call the City Ground the Cricket Ground. FACT. BTW how is the Supporters Club coming along. The silence has been deafening.

Cricket ground Gordon can you explain where that is ?
Call yourself a Forest supporter. Trent Bridge cricket ground , 100 yards from the City Ground and a few hundred yards from Meadow Lane.

From day one he needed to cultivate local businesses and to win their trust....This is a prime example of what could and should have been?

Double G Clothing. That name rings a bell. I'm sure I remember them sponsoring another local club in previous years.
Is it the same Company, as I also remember someone not being too gracious with his comments about them and questioning how much longer they would be in business.
Haven't Lynn got a tie up with Heacham? I wonder how much of Heacham's recent success has been down to that? They must enjoy all the additional exposure they get. That must be worth a small fortune to them.
B&G yes it is the same company, still trading and open again at 7am tomorrow morning, the one that for 17 years sponsored KLTFC in one form or another and at huge cost. Loving our time at Heacham Fc who if all goes according to plan (still unbeaten in the league and 6 points required from their remaining games) will be plying their trade in the Thurlow Nunn next season. First Sporting dinner in June with Ray Parlour as guest speaker was totally sold out without announcing it! Amazing bunch of committee and volunteers working together! I have just read SCs piece in the EDP, thankfully didn't have to buy a paper to read it. There is one totally outstanding quote. ALL PULL IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. In 6 years there has only been one DIRECTION. Cleeves' DIRECTION. And those without blinkers on know which DIRECTION that is, don't we all.

Massive news in Nottingham re Notts Countys latest midfield signing. No not Michael Clunan. Harry Arter ex premier league not so long ago with Bournemouth now joined Notts County from Nottingham Forest. From what i have seen of him since Chris Hughton took him to Nottingham he better pull his socks up. Satisfied with drawing big money for next to no effort.

Not to mention the over inflated prices being quoted. The admission charges were the most visible but figures on sponsorship did little to encourage Companies to climb onboard. I seem to think one of SC’s companies have been involved in Sponsorship for a few years. What is the point in that ?
Simple because no one else will pay the substantial amount of money that he demands. No sponsors so his joke of a company then fills that space for free. Latest told yesterday is £20k stand naming rights.

R.I.P true legend. You will never be forgotten by those that saw you grace a football pitch or serve us at the bars in retirement from football. Great that his family got him to see Newcastle United recently despite his failing health. Always had time for a chat and i will never forget playing in the same team as Malcolm for the KL Speedway team against the DJ's in a charity game on the Walks.

This is all just another big embarrassment by those running this club. TW constantly blames others for his own significant shortcomings in recruitment, man management and tactics. He’s brought 8 players in I believe, 7 out of 8 of them are significant downgrades, and that has come with what can only be an increased , and as a result of this all we have are two more points than ICs time this season. They can talk about an increased PPG but it couldn’t be more obvious that during Widdringtons with his PPG we would still go down without a fight. All we do is defend, loose and TW blames either the players or the previous management team who left 5 months ago. Has he had no impact over that time or only mentions his impact if we don’t loose. As for SC, he is more concerned about getting one over IC and his staff than realising what is going on at his own club, which he is running into the ground. His fortnightly EDP columns are embarrassing and I’m sure are littered with lies and untruths, all again to put down the previous regime, whom gained 2 promotions with the club and over achieved, again masking SC’s shortcomings in running a club or business. What other self respecting chairman would constantly try and slag off a previous manager, let alone after two promotions and putting the club on the footballing map. I’m also very surprised the EDP or other local papers and reporters don’t pick up on this or are they all under Cleeves wing and failing to do their jobs sufficiently? Anyway, whatever happens this season and beyond I’m sure it won’t be Cleeve picking up the pieces.
Absolutely spot on. Word for word. One thing not mentioned is the continued slagging off of kings Lynn Community Football who have done 99% more for local football than SC will ever do. As for the EDP it is disgraceful for them to print the spiel. Never mind SC is setting up a new charity, taking on new commercial manager etc etc. No doubt it will be as big a cock up of all previous attempts. As for TW did he not look into KLTFC before he joined. Did he not realise what he was letting himself in for. Bit harsh blaming IC or anyone else not there now to tell them face to face. TW you did not do your homework bigtime. Like many before you you have taken every bit of flannel and thought it was the truth. You seriously did not do your homework before taking this job on.

How is Joe Taylor doing at Peterborough?
Hat trick yesterday…in a 4-2 win
He was at Kings Lynn COMMUNITY Football Elite yesterday handing over a signed POSH shirt to the club that actually put him on the road, supporting the great work that Danny Buhlemann and his coaches are doing with the youth of the Kings Lynn and district area.
