Also run before you can walk. Unless of course you are Billy Big Boots. Classic there was a huge country house concert week coming up (similar to the Sandringham bank holiday concert weekender). CANCELLED poor ticket sales!

Big concerts is big up front outlay. Marquee with 500 people would be the place to start.
There will be appeals against a bigger pitch concert because of the noise in respect of how close to housing and obviously parking situation which yes you also get on matchday but will make that area something similar to when they do fAWKES In the Walks on November 5th. The last marquee i had permission for was placed so that the stage was just in front of the dugouts so that the noise went towards the railway line. Another issue could be the dreadful twitter feed last saturday evening about childrens football in respect that KL Elite comes under the banner of Alive West Norfolk, subsequently BCKLWN. In respect of the £750 quoted earlier for B&G events, that was years ago. The minimum now would be £1500 to £1750 takings on the door, not including bar take which with current overpricing minimum £3K a night. 34
General Discussion / Re: Chairmans comments after last night« on: September 21, 2023, 08:12:01 PM »Malc raising £750 on a night won’t pay a decent strikers wages for a week. That’s why SC’s idea of big outdoor concerts must be so appealing to him. He is the man with the vision. It be Will interesting to hear who he has signed up for next year.In them days it was more than enough and it was not one offs there were regular events. Blue and Gold was fully booked every friday and saturday night (including my functions). Bar take average friday and saturday evening (not saturday matchday takings) if i remember was £3K. asically averaged out 300 people minimum over the 2 nights at a tenner a head). Christenings sundays, wakes etc in the week when it was sensible money to hire. I did ring SC on one occasion as one of my embroiderers wanted to hold his 60th there. He quoted £650, i said way to expensive. He said includes my (his) DJ which i replied he has his own DJ. SC replies well that is an extra £50 as plugging in to his electric supply! No booking. I wouild think he has LOST more bookings than he has hosted all because of COST. 35
General Discussion / Re: Chairmans comments after last night« on: September 20, 2023, 05:56:19 PM »GordonYes approached and answered that i would not do them myself but would help anyone interested in doing them. Andy from Ikon then discussed to start with smaller events in the Blue and Gold with all profits going to the club. SC came up with a FEE to hire the B&G (although putting on for the club) so subsequently knocked on the head and a non starter. On another occasion i asked SC, on an employees behalf ,cost to hire the B&G for his 60th. Substantial fee quoted which i said was far to much. The reply was that includes MY (SCs) DJ, to which i said he has his own DJ thank you. Answer was wel,l that is an extra £50 for using the required DJ to plug into the electrics. Subsequently NOT booked. For my B&G events, average evening would raise minimum £750 less cost of DJ. Special nights such as NYE £1500 less DJ. The club kept the bar take. Noi charge to use the B&G. Marquee saturday night minimum £4000 less cost of DJs or DJ and band. Club had the bar take. The marquee was paid by the club who only were going to use it on a friday night so i asked if i could use on the saturdays so as not to stand empty. Sundays i did do one all dayer following on from the saturday but apart from that were used for END OF SEASON Presentation days charging supports £5 that included a buffet. When the Presentations were later held in the Blue and Gold supporters paid £5 but no food/disco instead. 36

General Discussion / Re: Adrian Whitbread« on: September 19, 2023, 07:46:18 PM »Gary Setchell coming back in next season. That could be a touch of irony. Lynn relegated back to step 3, back to part-time. Setch coming back in where he left it previously. Budget slashed. A balance sheet showing a 7 figure sum on the wrong side. Could the Chairman’s self esteem really take all of that ?FAILED. I had the chance to load the bullets to sack Gary the last time. Myself and SC on the way to visit Joma at Harlow FC. Gordon what is your opinion of Gary as a manager. Do you think i could sack him. My reply (not a lie) i have known Gary since the day he was born. I used to play football alongside his father Keith. Am i likely to answer YES. NO! Yes that was the same day i paid the entire fuel bill, food and drink bill of his choice at his choice McDonalds on the A11 at Barton Mills because, his words, Gordon i have no cash or cards with me! 41

It’s his Club, his call.Well he told ex player Lee Hyde 'IT'S NOT MY PROBLEM'. Shrugged his shoulders and waddled off. So who's problem is it then. The bloody coach driver? 43

BTW i've been blocked. I won't be able to sleep tonight. Nigel 1505 whoever you are behind your keyboard and M.A Hill with your brilliant ideas, you need to take your blinkers off. I support KLTFC and have from 1962 but this owner is the first since possibly Dolimore that is a walking disaster going from pillar to post with substantially less people on board than the past 7 days.
If i could only show you the piles of paper in the hands of solicitors. The weekends twitter re the Academy/Elite child football was the absolute icing on the cake along with the match programme who's editor might need to check their emails in the next few days? Interesting time ahead. 44

MA HILL its a Forum for all things football not just crossing the white line.
If you are frightened of the TRUTH then don't read it and until i am banned by the Forum i will continue to post the TRUTH. Lies and blasthemy are the bullets i need to load the gun. (Started loading) Solicitors is now tomorrow, not today because of the vast amount of paperwork handed over that they are going through prior to face to face tomorrow. Finally i thank the massive messages of support that i have received so far. There are some good people in this world. 45

With reference to SC, I dont know him hardly at all. But he does need to improve his skills on they way he goes about things. Ask an Australian!Appreciate those very kind words. Only about 10 people maximum know what happened to me on friday so i was in a very bad place. (Nothing associated to KLTFC). But the support i have had since from so many people is amazing. |
