Absolutely Gordon........we could also do with some confirmation on the segregation, the on going Covid requirements for fans, update on the Commercial Director position, sponsorship deals, etc etc
There once was a song Silence is Golden. The re release would be Silence is Deafening!

Kes, there is a wealth of experience out there which could have been used for the benefit of the Club and Community.
Sadly too many bridges have been burnt for that to happen now and that is a huge shame.
Kenny, you are so right about that. It is ludicrous that people like Gordon and there are others, have been alienated.
By the way i have never met Gordon but am very aware of his all round contribution to the club over many years.
A true supporter!!
Rod, firstly many thanks for those kind words. I am sure that we have met at some point possibly the BIG clubshop (now demolished) functions organised in the past, Supporters lunches etc etc. When Buster took over my first words to him were my advice is free its up to you if you want to listen and use it. Unfortunately there were mistakes made on their side such as purchasing new kits that suited speedway riders and were unacceptable by the FA. If only they had listened. Same advice was offered to SC but the first time that we were alone he was far more interested in asking the history of Gary Setchell a person i had known since his birth as i played football with his father. Obviously i was not prepared to be grilled on that subject. He must have found someone else to source info as Setch left the club. Just to put the record right it was Double G Clothing that left KLTFC after over 20 years of sponsorship and volunteering on my behalf. Not KLTFC dumping us. That was a massive decision to make but with what we know now it was the right one.

I am pleased with the way the new YouTube channel is providing us with updates, but there is a dearth of information coming out of the club in other forms....maybe we have to wait for another IC interview to glean:
The current injury situation
IC's thoughts on Alfreton and what his strongest starting line up will be
Will a further friendly be added
Updates on potential new signings
Ticket sale numbers to Lynn fans for Southend's visit.
Yeovil tickets info
add to that Kes how is the new stadium manager settling in, what has he been busy with at this very important time . Did he have batteries for the defibulater on his shopping list of URGENT things to do? How many days and nights is the Blue and Gold booked out for privately, how many club functions are organised? Stock for the clubshop, etc etc.

I really hope the club, stewards, and police are on top of this. If we wish to stay at this level, and now we’re here, most would, we MUST get some real sponsorship, or generosity, to build additional terraces and steps to be added to existing terraces, plus cover, or there is a danger that we simply won’t be able to cope. There is the large flat area at the Old Hospital end of the main stand, that MUST acquire a substantial terrace as soon as possible. We can’t have large areas like that, that cannot house spectators, because there are bigger crowds waiting to come once Covid subsides, and big clubs arrive. If we compete on the field, many more local fans are also likely. Are there grants for such erections, available for H & S purposes ?
That large parcel of land was part of the ground until the mid-late 60s. Used to be a scoreboard there that we used to climb at half time to give the scores from the then Division 1. In the early 2000s when on the management committee i am sure that the materials were bought for a covered standing area behind that goal and the last i heard the materials were stored on the docks. Heard nothing more about that though.

I know I have signed up 10 not many but it’s a start
Was one of them by chance (not the)Adam Marriott. Also not knowing that the Heacham friendly was called of by the club nearly 24 hours ago. You will need a closer contact with the club if you are to achieve your aims of the Supporters Club.

I understand there was one trialist yesterday, but he wasn't on the pitch very long. No idea why or who he is.
Being full time........does anyone actually know for definite that the Squad is now training full time?
I did hear that some were not happy with the catering arrangements at the training ground a couple of weeks ago. That could have just been a one off.
I was told that Heacham quoted for the catering and were to EXPENSIVE. I heard then that the club were using their own volunteers.

Some of us know exactly what happens from an operational point of view on matchday as we did it for many years and I doubt that much can have changed over the intervening years.
Just get everything in place and create the right atmosphere to part people enjoyably and painlessly from their money!
Only the regime Kenny R. Thats the only change.

In the mid 2000s and before twitter feeds etc, Radio Norfolk could not make all away games so they organised through the Supporters Club that either Stephen Hooks or myself would be their contacts for away goals, half time and full time reports. With modern technology in the 2020s it is a disgrace that again the fans cannot be kept up to date on matchday. Going back to no cover available when this type of thing happens, (hope your dad is on the mend Jamie), what happens in the future if SC is hospitalised for instance. Who else knows EXACTLY what goes on behind the scenes?

I sponsored THREE players and still haven’t received my shirts! I’ve been told they are in the box office but won’t be signed as the players have now left! This is an appalling way to treat a sponsor. Surely it would have been a good idea to post me the shirts, along with a letter thanking me for my support and giving me details of this season’s sponsorship opportunities (not that I will be putting another penny into a club that treats its sponsors so badly).
Oberon and Sams Dad. I doubt that you will ever see the shirts promised as the kitman came to see me weeks ago to change the names on the backs of the shirts of the players that have left. Obviously i refused, for one the existing names will bleed and ruin the shirts attempting to take the names off and 2 being treat like a piece of s**t in the past including SC broadcasting to the world on his podcast at the end of 2020 that Gordon Chilvers is not busy at Double G Clothing and will be closing down at the end of the year. (2020). Well SC we are busier than ever especially with the supply of football kits, especially Joma that is good enough for Norwich City in the Premier but common as muck for KLTFC to wear. So sorry Oberon and SamsDads unless there is a serious change you will not get your promised shirts. Yes you are right Oberon it is no way to treat a sponsor but don't i know it 1st hand.

Pre-2009 there was a very popular Vice President's Club ( probably 50 VPs at that time) where the matchday sponsors mixed with the VPs. Tea / coffee and biscuits at half time and basic hot food after the game and a very lively atmosphere. There was also a pre-match carvery for supporters which was always a sell-out. I don't think it produced a huge financial return as it was priced to sell BUT it gave supporters a feeling of involvement and opened up other income streams.
I can't see any of the above happening again, sadly.
Somewhere about 2004/5 the meals that Les used to produce upstairs were amazing. Going through divorce at the time these meals were very welcoming along with bringing friends and family. At that time good commercial manager, amazing clubshop (according to Peterborough, Cambridge Utd and Wimbledon, real supporters club with away travel to all games and the social events including the 3 day events in the marquee at the end of the season. EVERY game was sponsored prior to the season starting. When i sponsored games or matchballs in those days it was not DEMANDED in cash as was my last experiences with this regime. Yes that club went tits up but the supporters experience under this regime is crap. Try hiring the Blue and Gold. You will need a mortgage. Use your own DJ and you have to pay extra to plug into the electric supply. Something is seriously wrong. People need to smell the coffee. The FA should NEVER allow one person to own a club without a board as back up. But then who would be daft enough to want to be on that board.

What is Mark's role at the Club these days?
Lynn News 6th July "Most notably, Mark Hearle has stepped down as commercial manager and taken up a new role as head of operations."
I wonder how that's going and what it involves.
As head of Operations that will come in handy during the season if a player breaks his nose, arm, leg etc. Save having to go to A & E. I haven't got enough fingers and toes to count the times that we have been told in thge past some big news is coming, players signing, sponsors coming on board, commercial managers, etc etc etc.

Top of the league!
What an absolute disgraceful way of getting to the top of non league. By pricing loyal fans from way before this regimes time, out of seeing their home team unless they go away to do so and line another clubs pockets. It won't stop there, it will be bar prices, catering prices, club shop prices and everything else here at Stamford Bridge, sorry The Walks.

Didn't know the Army & Navy Stores had a football team Gordon Chilvers, did Private Godfrey play?
Ha Ha Blueboy. During my very short stint as an apprentice tradesman in the Royal Army Pay Corp. You don't know till you try it. Was lucky to have the trial but wasn't around long enough to go further.

With Norwich U23’s playing a good few home games at The Walks could this be an interesting tie up where we see loaners from City dipping in and out of our squad ? Is the player tonight with the Canaries ?
That has been banded about for weeks Mallard that we will resemble Norwich U23s once the season begins. Only time will tell if the rumours come to fruition. If Norwich are playing some games at the Walks are they supplying groundsmen the likes of how Chelsea do at Aldershot. Just think in 1967 aged 15 i had a trial for The Army on Aldershots pitch!
