General Discussion / Re: Joe Taylor
« on: November 14, 2021, 09:22:37 PM »
Wroxham are saying that the Joe Taylor story in Chairmanís notes is not the full story.  :dontknow:

And you are surprised by that because ?......
NOT AT ALL. How many weeks on the trot now has saturdays EDP column been filled with a load of bull ****.
Packs of lies and deceit but then someone has a track record for that.
Will the truth ever come out about these untruths? Will the EDP ever again print facts rather than fiction.
Supposedly also invented a KLTFC under 10s academy team when interviewed on Football Focus last week.
This reminds me of 12 months ago when SC broadcast to the world that my business was in serious trouble and going out of business at Christmas 2020. Until a serious grovelling apology when threatened with solicitors!
God knows (unless its cuckoo land) where SC gets his info from because its certainly nothing to do with the real world!

Is Joe Taylor not on the Clubs Academy scheme at the moment ?  I stand corrected if that is not the case
Yes at the moment but his time prior to that was with KLCF.

Good luck to the lad.   Nice amount of compo should be heading Lynnís way with him being a youngster.

The first  one for the new Academy system.  Player gets a pro chance clubs makes money from it.   Win win
First one for the new Academy system surely you mean ANOTHER one for the KINGS LYNN COMMUNITY FOOTBALL PROGRAMME. Was there before the KLTFC academy was even thought off.

Seems real apathy around this game from all quarters.
Club not overly promoting the game, hardly a mention on this forum. Press hardly a word. I recall days when town would be whipped up for an FA Cup game regardless of the opposition.
When we played Oldham we had 6k in the ground.
We are now playing at much higher level, we have a game in first round of FA Cup at home to EFL opposition. Where is the buzz?
If you canít market this and even close followers arenít talking about it, will we ever get interest back?

How many are Walsall bringing?
Reference the Oldham game in the very limited time that we had to source extra stocks we actually sold in excess of 1000 replica shirts in the CLUBSHOP prior to the date of the game as well as a vast array of other merchandise. On the night you couldn't get near the clubshop because of the massive queues for the Posh nosh food and drink wagon. most of the merchandise sold on the night was fakes sold in the walkway at the back of the main stand and into the queues waiting to get into the ground from the Walks etc. This was totally against what the police said was allowed to happen.
i wonder if the latest club have ever sold 1000 replica shirts full stop let alone for one game.

You do though mention the current demise of KLTFC though. That would of originally happened 6 months into the SC reign, no club sponsor, so who bailed the club out and sponsored the 1st team as well as the Reserves when told that the club could not repay the debt owed to Double G (after only 6 months of the new regime) so the option was full sponsor OR the club would fold. NOT MY WORDS.

Strange. I seem to remember that was the season the Chairman claimed he  had three offers on the table for the shirt sponsorship, and he just had to decide which one would be the best fit (for the club). Apparently it was all about dynamics!

:Dynamics, more like a load of old bull that the long suffering supporters of KLTFC have continuously listened to. If we had not written of the debt at that time and sponsored both the 1st team and the Reserves perhaps we would not be having this discussion! There would possibly be nothing to discuss!
Ever since that period of time can anybody remember 1 single sponsor that has been a regular contributor to the club. By Contributor I mean pounds, shillings and pence!

Enjoy it Gordon, it is a little short term fun for a village club. Certainly this "blip" in the village football world has little influence or worthwhile mention whilst we discuss the demise of KLTFC. Always nice to hear from you..
I and lots of others are enjoying it.  Short term fun How sad a comment. This is there 6th promotion on the trot from NWNL to the summit of the Anglian Comb Premier. Not justifying a worthwhile mention is disgraceful. You do though mention the current demise of KLTFC though. Move on to 2021 and we are not involved in any way whatsoever with KLTFC and will not be bailing them out in any way.
So Realist. Best take in the above and then tell me is your name for real!

I do wonder if there is room in Lynn for another separate Club to play at Step 6/5 or even 4 ?

Boston has Utd and Town and many other towns run with two senior Clubs

I thought we already had that....................they're called Heacham.
And absolutely flying at the moment with 3 of yesterdays goals by ex Lynn Players. Also started a 100 club from scratch this week and had 43 applications already.
Forgot to mention this is 11 league wins out of 11 with a plus 36GD and goals scored 44!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't you just love goals going in. Ask the Lynn supporters including season ticket holders who were at yesterdays game.

General Discussion / Re: Name and shame
« on: October 11, 2021, 07:39:30 PM »

He is an amazing   character.   Just a few days ago he arranges a meeting with the fans to try and curb the growing feeling of unhappiness with so many things that is seemingly going wrong at the club.  To the manís credit he holds his hands up to say yes there are issues and wants to work to put them right.

Then in EDP he goes on a full frontal attack on a Youth set up in the Town that has been around long before anyone had ever heard of the name Cleeve.

I have to say that I don't really understand what angle he is coming from with the EDP article on Saturday, or more to the point, what he is really hoping to achieve with it.

I'm surprised that the people at the EDP even gave it column space!

Now we see a name and shame on a young supporter
Absolutely disgraceful article in the EDP on saturday of which i have voiced my opinion on saturday evening with the EDP highlighting why the Council have no intention of him hiring out the 3G especially if it has the same outcome as previous. But it is not only KLCF that he tried to unsuccessfully destroy but also a huge part of the child/youth set up in King's Lynn when giving HIS terms for using the West Lynn set up! Thankfully someone could see exactly what he was up to and told him NO.
So basically he has 3 teams playing under his banner whereas he was going to have at least 1 in every age group to be coached by stealing coaches that are already well established in their existing clubs. The word going out tp players and their parents that if you do not sign up for KLTFC academies you will never wear play for KLTFC in later years. Stood a chance there of missing the next Wayne Rooney after wasting a fortune in his early days at the helm of KLTFC bringing in at great expense the man who found Wayne Rooney

PR at the club is really something else.

General Discussion / Joe Taylor
« on: October 09, 2021, 08:45:12 PM »
So after banging a drum the past few weeks Joe came on as sub today.
Any views on those present to witness. Down side is that in KLTFC wisdom we did not insist on him not playing cup games so now he will not be available for next saturdays FA cup game because of a substitute appearance for Wroxham previous tie with Mildenhall.

Very sad news Marcus. Great bloke and always good for a chat.
I would gamble that his goal scoring record for Kings Lynn will never be beaten.

What state is the pitch in  assume that the game is going ahead
Certainly is and 0-1 down in the 3rd minute. Marriott is on the bench for Barnet :rain:

« on: October 05, 2021, 07:53:22 PM »
Any home draw, you have got to be pleased with that. Certainly could have been a tougher opponent, but we won't be taking our opponents lightly. I'm sure some of us can remember the likes of Parson Drove and Woodford. Woodford's keeper sent off, an outfield player took his place, his first job was to pick the ball out of the net after we scored with a deflected free kick to go 1-0 up, ended up losing.
Its a clever move by Mr Cleeve to reduce the admission. Who knows, maybe Taylor will take his place on the bench too.
Why a clever move by SC. It was not his sole decision but one that has to be agreed by BOTH clubs.

What the devil is going on in here ?? All this digging and griping at each other, seems likes its turned into a Have a Pop at everybody and anybody forum, what must casual visitors to the forum think?  Can't we get back to the serious issues like glass glasses not plastic ones
Sorry Blue Moon but this is a far more serious issue than plastic glasses and that is what is wrong. We are again on the downward spiral and actions need to be done urgently. We now allegedly have a new commercial manager. I think he has been with the club more days than the several previous ones put together.
Just read back programme notes  over the reign of SC and they are full of BIG News, BIG ANNOUNCEMENTS, big new sponsorships etc etc. You name one sponsorship that SC has managed to bring to the club that has been successful.
We ALL need to wake up and smell the coffee! Sooner rather than later.
