General Discussion / Re: Captain Clunan

Think the team will be in good hands with Clunan leading the line. Also Marriott may be reborn if given enough starts compared to the limited starts he had at Boston. Time will tell.

I take you are not impressed by what's happening. Me thinks you may be in a minority.

You just couldn't make it up....I don't know how the club have done it but they have. We now have the makings of a more than decent team next season. Most look forward to the season start, but boy oh boy this could be a goodie imo.

Looking good for August 9th. Lots of positive vibes from new players...let's hope they carry onto the pitch for the new season. Looking forward to it.

It's looking good so far, a bit different from last season. Certainly reduced the average age in the team quite a bit. Time will tell I suppose but let's get behind what's happening. Onwards and upwards.

Is any of this rhetoric about who's in charge of this and that...who owns this and that...who is culpable about this and that...who is going to help KLFC get the ball in the opposition's net? Only young lads plus some older heads are going to do that. You can have Sir Alex and the best financial brains in the world...it won't get you promoted unless you have the raw ingredients of decent players to get you there. This is a football forum.. not a Financial Times forum... I couldn't give a ufck who's in charge as long as they have their heart in  KLFC and what the future holds for MY club.

No mention on main KLFC website that I can see......shame on whoever in charge. He was Mr. kLFC for a long while.  Seen a post somewhere from Setch....nice one chap.

Keith was KLFC through and through. Stepped up when needed to fill the gaps either in playing or managing. I'm old enough to remember him playing along with Mick Wright. Was certainly a stalwart of our club. RIP Keith, you deserve our clubs respect. Really sad news... KLFC would not be like it is today without the likes of Keith and the commitment he gave to the club. Bit early I know but let's dedicate part of the ground to him.

Quite right, let's not heap pressure on the lad...and see where we go.

Doesn't fill me with much confidence of getting a decent striking partnership for the coming season. Two new defenders coming in....good....who is going to be our main strike force...not Gold I'm afraid imo... let's see what evolves over the the coming weeks. My problem is like a few others can go back a few years and remember the strikers we had... shan't name them you know who I mean...but you could rely on them to get 10- 15 a season each. These days we rely on a couple to knock in one every now and then. Hopefully this next season will prove different. The next few weeks will see what the new manager can attract to KLFC in the way of proven goal scorers. Onwards and upwards Lynn.

Thanks Daleh. Good memories.

Can anybody, I doubt it even me go back to when Ken Gadsby was manager. Years ago I worked with his wife Dorothy at The Education Office in St.Margarets House. He showed me his England caps and such a lovely fella..never forgot that day. They lived next door to Lenny Rush the keeper of the late Queens Pigeons.

Can't remember him, Martini I can...shaken but not stirred. Who was the lad who played when Grant Holt!! Allegedly played ex Norwich. Simon Lappin just remembered lovely player.

Needed big Mick W, Big Jack, Freddie E, Danny B to help him along. Halcyon days
