It seems one poster is using this forum as an axe grinder, for whatever reason. Lets keep it positive. :scarf:

Agree totally, we need a couple more of Barrett's pedigree up front. These teams like Wrexham, Stockport, Notts C, et al, have been in this dog fight for years and know how to play these games. Little 'ol Kings Lynn are dipping their toes in this league and are finding the water a bit to deep. Slagging  IC/SC off isnt going to help. I have said it numerous times, like Norwich, Lynn is on the road to nowhere. Getting players to come here is a monumental task because of its location. We need to get attract more exleague players who, like Barrett are looking to regain status and are willing to put the effort in, to help us over the next season or two establish us as a NL team. Get rid of IC is not the answer, he is the best adept manager we have ever had and i go back a long time. It would be great if Norwich could loan us a couple who are out to prove themselves to Dean Smith to help us out over this difficult period. I would even entertain Pukki or Cantwell.

He wasn't ours to keep. Only on loan. Yes, he done well, but you dont know what has gone on behind the scenes to try and keep him, if indeed we wanted to. Lets keep a bit more positive.

Whoever what ever, we just need someone who can score goals between the 8 yards, given the chance.

Just a thought. With Dean Smith going to Norwich, any better chance of getting any fringe Norwich players to help us out for a,while. I dont know what his relationship is with Smith as opposed to Farke. Just a thought.

To far away to see Lynn play, only hear on radio. Is Gold the real deal with support or are missing a decent striker or two. At least this season scores haven't been 4 and 5 nil, so the defence is NL standard, but what about the fire power. Morias didnt do much to help things along, so quite glad hes gone, nice bloke im sure. In my opinion we need players like Barrett, who by all accounts, is showing his pedigree as a EFL player,, so hopefully we will get a striker or two who  know how play against these seasoned teams. All is not lost, just need someone who can convert the chances we do get, without it going over the bar, in the side netting or straight at the keeper. Here's hoping. :scarf:

With the amount of injuries we have had this season, IC has been able to field  about  two thirds of a squad. Lets wait and see how we get on when all are fit.

Reading through the posts on the forum regarding strikers, it seems seems we havent replaced the duo of Gash and Marriott. It must be frustrating for IC to see, game after game, the front men hitting the side netting, posts and everywhere else apart from the goal. We are stuck with the front men, we have, them , being on contract, but in fairness how many games have we played the same two up front for two games in a row. Gash and Marriot played untold amount of games together and had an understanding of where each would be. This takes time,  Morias seems on the edge all the time, is he going to get booked or sent off. I cant get to games living where i am, so have to rely on here and Radio Norfolk for my info. There is time this season yet to turn this around, but we need consistency up front to form a partnership.

Lets rejoice in the fact that we have a new addition, you never know, he may be just what we need to bring opportunities for our forwards to have a go at goal. I'm sure IC hasn't brought him in just to the make the numbers up. If so then i could have done that, if somebody could help me on with my boots.

Good news, Jayden Davis on loan. Hopefully an eager youngster, out to prove himself. Will be most welcome given Lynn's injury woes at the moment.

If anyone wants to know where the 8 yards are, then watch the video on the BBC website, for the great Roger Hunt, RIP,  tribute in the 1966 World Cup. Thats the way to do it. Right place, right time.

Agree B&G. Takes me back to the 70's, when Peterbough had Freddie Hill. Im not say ing this lad is in the same class, but Freddie came from Leeds Utd. He always seemed to be pass ahead of the rest of the team. It ok having a quality player in the team, if the rest know what he is going to do, and can make the correct runs. Time will tell, lets not judge til hes played a few games. Cant be any worse than a certain Mr. Holt. If he's as good as Simon Lappin, then happy days.

If my memory is correct, when a certain Michael Gash joined KLFC, doubts were raised over his injury history. Whatever happened to him.😃 Lets give the lad a chance. He's only 23. To be honest a lot of the goal chances we miss are in the area, just need someone who is alert enough to convert them. If i heard it once on the radio, ive heard it ten times, ooh hes hit the side netting, crossbar, or put it wide. Maybe, just maybe we have someone who can get it in the 8 yards between the posts. :scarf:
