General Discussion / Re: Latest Podcast
« on: April 05, 2021, 02:03:58 PM »
Unfortunately teams in the National league over the coming seasons will reap what they have sown this past year or so.
Dover FC made a stand.....how many fellow national league clubs stood along side them.....none.
Cleeve amongst others has continually complained about the national league board and its decisions for nigh on 12 months now.
A decision by a few clubs to hold these jokers on the committee to account...how many will stand by them?....answer none....or imo very few.
Cleeve even goes as far as practically defending the very people hes moaned about for 12 months in his latest podcast.
Sorry but like I said....you reap what you sow.....and the coming seasons will see that born out.
The Premier league is a self centred greedy business model.....but under the spotlight of this "virus" non league clubs have proved that they too have only one purpose....to look after No1.......the beautiful game is dieing

I am glad to hear that all youngs lads are playing both local and KLTFC football....good news  :comeon:
But to be fair and in Gordon's defence....Norwich city academy, peterboro academy, cambridge academy....do not allow any of their academy players to play for any other teams..... :dontknow:

Playing for your village team, playing with your mates is everything. Once that time has passed it's gone...never coming back.
I know personally of lads that spent their youth 9yrs - 16yrs at Norwich city academy at peterboro academy at cambridge centre of excellence only to be released.
And each of them said they regretted and missed not playing with their friends and enjoying their time representing their local/village team.
KLTFC academy to be successful and respected by their players and the local surrounding teams must find a way....imo...of letting these lads enjoy their youth football by not only representing KLTFC but by also playing for their own local teams.
A rapport between KLTFC and the local footballing community must be built....not a divide.... :scarf: :dontknow:
Ideally a connection between KLTFC and KLCF would have been the best solution but for whatever reasons that bridge seems to have been burnt....dont burn the bridge between KLTFC and the local football teams they could be the life blood of the academy

Totally correct Gordon...and I think you'll find there are yet more ex KLCF/KLFC players still plying their trade on the other side of the pond

I see that FBT is hardly getting any minutes at peterboro fc...wonder if there would be any thing in it if the question was asked if he would come back on loan until season end???
Depends what our relationship is with Peterboro I suppose.... :dontknow:

The problem arises though that while some clubs are saving money...along comes a money man buys a club pours money in...the better players are drawn to that club to kiss that badge for a while....they win things......other clubs then try and compete and low and behold before you know it....the whole viscous circle starts again.
IMO nothing will change until the rules change and that's not going happen because money talks and the people that make the rules are "guided" by those that hold the most.
There are no morals in football....if a salary cap is enforced....what do chairmen do?
Abide by it?
Do they heckers like....they find a way around it through sponsorship deals or under the counter payments.
Football needs to take a long hard look at itself....but...again it wont happen.
My guess is by time the 2022/23 season starts and fans are back in as normal (hopefully)....money coming in ...this will all be forgotten...nothing will be learnt from it...and ....unfortunately nothing will have changed

I think we need another captain sensible post on recent events...he seems to have an inside knowledge on things..... :farmer:

That unfortunately remains to be seen non league...I have seen no evidence at all of any "big reset" that everyone kept talking about.
Football unfortunately doesn't live in the real world and can be seen to make some very strange decisions, that look after the few and not the many.
Hang on....maybe they do live in the real world after all.... :farmer: :farmer:

Well....I guess we know how promising IC sees them.
The academy manager is a GK...mid 20's I guess, played for res and was apparently at Norwich for a few weeks....but a 50 yr old was still a better option???
Seems to me IC has just closed ranks...no interviews...incomings no doubt from his contacts only....certainly seems strange that the no relegation, and no pressure on winning hasn't turned the rest of the season into just a pre-season ready for 2021-22.
Unless of course we're not being told everything by our chairman... :dontknow: :dontknow:

Cant help feeling that alot of these financial issues regarding NL NLN and NLS teams goes right back to the ridiculous decision that was taken last year to class them as "elite".
Clearly that is not and never will be the case.
Elite if that is a valid term to use, I have my doubts, should start at League 2.....imo

Since when have the FA made a decision based on fairness and sanity??.... :laughcry:
They'll either drag it out so they wont make the decision yet or stupify everyone with a crass decision

Aaaaah well....what do I know... :laughcry:
At least it was the clubs that decided I suppose. Some unlucky ones will have to rouse themselves for just 1 game.
Will it be Lynn U21s enter or will the club risk a 1st team entry??
