A sad day that keith should resort to that ...if indeed it's true...whatever his reasons for doing it....an equally sad day that 2 local lads were part of the decision.. ....if indeed that parts true as well...

Does this mean the first team can’t train together now for X number of days? It can’t help the preperation in readiness for the opening day.
I guess this is the way things will be for sometime to come.
I guess it doesn't mean they can't train together...the ladies twitter feed said that they'd trained last night in preparation for the w/end. So have the club received the test results??

As you say b&g it's not solely a football problem....take a drive by the adrian flux stadium on a saturday....see how many are there...and look at the social distancing on display.....

Unless the result has come back inconclusive...and has to be re done....how did they know they wouldn't receive the results back today?.....its only March...they're just down the road....could call it off at 4pm today...still wouldn't be too late.....guess we wont know...

This may cause havoc to most leagues this year with teams calling off games at short notice. Will we be able to finish the season in full or are there contingency plans in place to manage curtailed league/s
Best wishes to the affected family and all others concerned - keep safe all.
Once the season kicks off, I can see plenty of situations like St. Mirren’s current one. It seems the emphasis may be on the games happening so long as a team can put 11 bodies, any 11, on the pitch. Could lead to some odd fixtures over the course of the season.
Could also lead to alot of ducking and diving of fixtures...

I think mallard that's exactly what the general public find infuriating frustrating and non-sensical....Doncaster st ledger meeting gets the go ahead under the guise of it being a "test" event....speedway/stock car racing in this area packed now every w/end or so...some industries (the one I work in) have worked full hours all the way through this...and many other examples pubs/restaurants etc....yet a few hundred people at a football match is classed as a "risk"....meeting with more than 6 people now a risk again...no sorry...only after monday....either lockdown or dont....the virus I dont believe is picking or choosing what events it turns up at....

Adrian Flux have actually been sponsors of the ladies team for several seasons. This NOT a new sponsorship. I take it as renewal. No doubt it will cost them substantially more than previous seasons.
Totally correct Gordon....and it's more to do with the fact it's a players connection than any work done by anyone else
